Excellent site, easy to use and staff are very helpful

Adverts is full of mobile phone and computer scammers mostly from Eastern Europe and Ireland. They have loads of different accounts for a start to try and drive down the price of your product. When they think you are beaten they come in with a lowball offer. You will often see your product up for sale under another account usually within just a day or two at an inflated price. They use all kinds of tricks to sow doubt in a buyers mind that something is wrong with your product. There are teams of them operating in Cork Dublin and Waterford. Also computer dealers are selling computers with dodgy parts that have been reflowed and hastily repaired. They usually last a couple of months but by the time you realize you have been had they have blocked you from leaving negative feedback and Adverts just says go to the Police who do nothing. Some of these people seem to have an endless supply of brand new products like a guy from Waterford who sells mainly high end phones and laptops everything new in the box with no receipts. It's a very dodgy site indeed so stay well clear. Never purchase a product without a valid receipt and warranty people. Oh and by the way you will often find they give themselves positive feedback with their other accounts it's quite sad really!

Would give a zero star if it was possible.
In the early days Adverts was a great site.
I have met some great people on this site. People who are honest and accommodating. I have become friends with some of these wonderful people.
However! In recent times it has become a place of residence for scammers of all sorts. That said! There are still some great people on the site but the behaviour of some of the other participants, I have encountered , has done nothing to enhance the site but rather to diminish it.
Initially I was a member with 500+ good reviews. I was then left an unfair negative review. When I brought this issue to Adverts admin their response was "review was warranted"
I left the site then only to return approximately a year later (with a new user name) and ,as before, with almost 200+ good reviews it happened again. A bad review because I took a seller to task for overcharging on postage. I made a complaint to Adverts and, again, they did absolutely nothing and left the bad review stand. Annoying,as I didn't purchase the item due to the excessive postage.
The final straw was (recently) I purchased an item and postage was quoted at €9. When the item arrived postage was €4.50 approximately. This was brought to Adverts attention and - you guessed it! Absolutely
no response .
I have now left the site and I won't be going back.
I personally feel sites like Adverts should run on the honesty and merit of its participants and should be monitored by it's developers - as it used to be in it's early days.
Unfortunately! That is not to be 🥴

Seller sold faulty item. Ignored until left negative feedback. Got back and asked to remove negative feedback. Refused until issue sorted. Adverts removed negative feedback without notification or explanation. Requested explanation. Complete ignorance.

These narrow minded beyond belief staff have ruined our lives causing unmeasurable hurt and suffering to my family. I had an account and complained about something..in response they closed my account my wife's account and my daughters account ...what a bunch of narrow-minded asses with no one to answer to.they do as they want to whoever they want with impunity ..please avoid them at all costs ...free ads are not free when they harass and retaliate against everyone to get at the original complainer bad bad bad ...my solicitor is starting a case against them and I will be happy to join any class action ..it is now my mission in life to let everyone I can and I have 10,000 +followers exactly what they done to me ..bunch of bullies I am asking my followers to fwd my experiences to all their followers this could easily reach 500,000 within a month with everyone's support

I’ll give it 2 stars ; the feedback section needs to be updated , maybe stars or something but it’s open to messers leaving bad feedback for no reason

My account was hacked over a month ago by a scammer and Ray and Caroline will not reply. Garda calling me and my mother because the scammer made money off my account which I immediately reported. Still no reply on email or Facebook.
They basically invite scammers. Reported to the Gards & GDPR commissioner.

Hi Guys, Just a quick warning about ADVERTS.IE.

I got scammed last week, i have reported user and presented clear evidence that i got scammed, threatened with violence etc. I gave user negative feedback for scamming me. WHAT DID ADVERTS DO ?

they blocked my account, removed negative feedback and protect the scammer !!! They told me to f%$k off to gards and havent even looked at evidence!!

I have been on adverts for good few years, have a tonne of postive feedback and no negatives. This is how they pay back.

I am really disappointment with them, they don't even go by their own rules.
It took them few days to reply to my email, but they removed the scammers negative feedback in just few hours.

Not to mention my life saving ads were removed. I posted Free premium ad how to make DIY Faceshields/ Visors and set up a 3d priting group to fight against coronavirus and help save lives. these ads were seen by aprox 5000 people.

this is just disgusting.

I am creating a group on facebook to help me expose those guys to wider audience, Anyone with negative experience will be allowed to post their story there and get free legal advice !!!!!. I am hoping to file a class lawsuit against them after lockdown because they are not protecting their users and encourage scammers to operate. I already have evidence from few people that they know that scammers operate and they dont do anything about it. As matter of fact they have no security measures in place and they admit it !! will update soon with link and references.

I have shared this post across facebook and other social media. hope to get 500k views in 2 weeks.
To adverts : as mentioned before you can try to sue me for defamation.

The new (to me anyway) dashboard looks awful and is terrible to navigate through especially on larger screens. Everything is small and almost hidden. Need to review that upgrade. And before I get hit with it - I'm not blind and the zoom is set perfect for the majority of websites. Oh and using Chrome.

They don't even deserve a star tbh. A complete profiting racket that allows scumbags to give you negative feedback for absolutely no justification as to why. They never reply to your customer enquiries and I would say have serious Data Protection questions to ask. Most definitely agree with the poor feedback they have received on this. All in all a shower of gangsters with your personal information. They desperately need to be investigated

Absolutely disgraceful conduct by some employees, they delete active accounts for no reason or don't bother to get in touch with you before hand, then offer you monetary concessions as a hush,hush offering to their complete #uck up. They unblock users you have blocked and don't want to be contacted by and then allow them same users to leave you negative feedback. They don't give sellers privacy and unapologetically give favoritism towards higher selling users because it generates better turnover for them. They seldom response to disputes. NO DATA PROTECTION and their office needs a check for foul play as 2 hours after I set up my account I received 3 different texts from dodgy numbers asking for my bank account details and PayPal details. SCAMMERS

It's a real shame the app attracts nationwide peasants, Who'd rather everything for free than realise a good deal when they see one. It's also full of time wasters who literally just talk crap. Full of window shoppers, avoid!

Adverts is a full of scammers, time wasters, and when you leave feedback they removed what's the point of having such system in place. A complete bad image overall. More importantly staff at adverts.ie Such a narrow minded people, dictators, stupid and idiotic nature.

Problem with Adverts is that when you leave negative feedback (warranted and with proof), if the user is somewhat valuable for adverts they remove it without explanation. Why have a feedback if you're going to remove it when it isn't good? I've all the proof that warrants the negative feedback against a seller and still adverts removes it. They do not follow they own rules, shame on you Adverts. Back to middle ages, when you couldn't express your own opinions. Why to have feedback system at all, if this is what you do on a regular basis?!?

Full of time wasters. Won't use it again. Not worth the hassle

Really good way of Buying/Selling Unwanted/Second Hand Goods & Services for below the Market Price or without having to include a costly Middle-Man. Can only recommend!

My experience with Adverts.ie both from a selling and buying point of view, has been nothing but excellent!
I am with Adverts.ie several years now and because of harassment from another member decided to just cancel my account and thus lose all my good history. The Customer service team literally helped me all the way to find another solution and to keep my reputation with them. The Customer Service team and indeed the service they provide at Adverts.ie has always been no less than Good and most of the time Excellent in my experience

Waste of money, too many problems with Adverts over the years. Dont bother paying a premium ad, you'll end up pages behind the free ads even if yours has more views and attention. Way too many time wasters and thread spoilers. Contact their support you say? Dont bother they will lookafter big sellers and allow them to bend the rules, but if you're a smaller seller like me (just over 100 positive feedback and 0 negative) you'll just get a generic response from them like ;

Hi, thanks for getting in touch. Please send an email to "supportatadverts.ie" from the email address associated to your Adverts account and one of the team can take a look into this for you. Thanks.

This was after I had already done that btw. Absolutely no need to use Adverts now when you can reach a far bigger audience on Facebook marketplace for free. Deleted my account and so glad I did, no looking back now.

Customer service is very bad! Removed ad for no reason. Can’t sell anything! Stay away and better move to done deal app
