Booked lthe lazy lion today 15th July.

Booked the lazy lion today 15th July.
It was good value. It clearly stated on our booking confirmation admission was 2pm.
Was told at entrance it had been changed to 230. Was told we could go in earlier and pay the difference which isn't acceptable considering one of us required a wheelchair and had to stand outside for half an hour. no apology as it wasn't our fault. The staff were pleasant though..
Would not return in the future

After reading reviews we were a bit…

After reading reviews we were a bit reluctant to go but 6 of us did and it was very good clean and tidy not like people had commented on. My grandson was ecstatic when he saw the giraffes as he is mad on them even paid for him to feed them. The park needs to advertise more in Great Yarmouth as no leaflets about l got a voucher of internet which saved us 32% well worth looking for, l would say they could do with a few more animals but we enjoyed it spent around 5 hours their. Someone put nothing for children the zoo is educational for the children and the play area wasn’t that bad and they had a large bouncy area.

Nothing for the kids ..

When I last went there and the reason why we have stopped going to this zoo.. zero things for the kids to do. There is a run down old kids park in the middle and some rubbish crazy golf. Full of money grabbing restaurants Which are very over priced. There used to be a soft play area but they claim that they took it away due to covid but I think it was something else. If you want your childre crying and moaning aimlessly walking around for many hours then treat yourself and come here!

This Zoo is fabulous

This Zoo is fabulous. Plenty of animals, lovely grounds, fabulously clean and maintained with new facilities.
Even the little train ride was not a rushed experience and had a very informative tour guide.Staff were so friendly too.
We couldn’t fault it. We will definitely return. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Poor customer service

The website was confusing to book tickets. Thought we had booked for the evening as advertised. No times on the ticket ( this was in July). We turned up and it was closed. After a month of trying to phone and email them to they said the ticket was none refundable. I have since the tried emailing to them and wrote the the CEO put no reply. Very poor customer service.

Love the animals, but needs improvement

There were plenty of animals to see, a talk on every hour, and the site is well maintained. I loved the giraffes, lions, lemurs, ass’s, eagles and meerkats.
There’s some things to be improved… they don’t give maps on admission - and there’s not many maps around the site so it’s tricky when you have to find your way to one of the talks or find a toilet… which brings me to another point- there is not enough toilets (especially for women), I spent a long time trying to find a toilet to then find a big queue (and one of the 5 toilets inside had broken door).
Last complaint- the food facilities are not great, and the food I ate was expensive and tasteless- bring a picnic if you can, there’s plenty of benches and places to put your picnic blanket.

This is without a doubt the biggest let…

This is without a doubt the biggest let down you’ll ever encounter. The price of admission and what you get is criminal. You spend time walking aimlessly around looking for animals, but alas, there is not much at all! The lion enclosure is there with no lions in it:
Please save your hard earned money by not pumping any money into this giant con.
A great family day, with good friends, however, no experience to reflect on, only an enormous sour note.

This “zoo” is awful

This “zoo” is awful. Walked round in less than 2 hours and this included lunch.
My 5 year old grandson complained how boring it it was.
It’s overly expensive and frankly not worth a tenth of what you pay.

Don’t waste your money! Go else where!

Very poor value for money just to enter the park, staff on entrance not overly welcoming, disappointed they wasn’t offering the medals for finding stamps or whatever they normally are which is part of the fun and excitement for the kids. Wasn’t many animals and those that was there just looked sad as my child said. From website it suggested there was a cafe style place on site which was far from that, not the range of food you would expect to find to try to appeal to a wide variety of tastes, what food and drinks was available was expensive. Was there 1 hour 30 and in summary it was not worth the visit or the money and will definitely not be returning

Wouldn't waste your money

Went here last weekend, paid £55 for two adults and a child, was boring! Hardly any animals, paid nearly £9 for three ice-creams and literally were there about an hour and a half! Very disappointing!

Africa alive zoo

Africa alive zoo, Kessingland: Discusted at how they are STEALING money from CHILDREN on school day trips!!! My son (13yo) went get a slushie (£2.50) to be told they would happily take his £10 cash but NOT give any change! He's 13, and not aware of shameless money scams and deceipt. When he got home we called them immediately, got called back by a 'messenger', and got told their trying to go cashless and that the children should have been accompanied so its the schools fault!? Imagine how much this zoo is stealing from children when theirs several coaches a day visiting. DO NOT GIVE THESE CRIMINALS YOUR MONEY! How LOW can a business/people get - I guess because of lost money during covid - to allow the scamming of young naive unaccompanied teens on a day trip!
