There is no way to get on contact with an agent. Except for calling and this takes a long time and the agent does not know what to do. I have had already lot of bad booking experiences: I book a room with two beds they book a single bed in the hotel etc. I wanted to cancel 1 night out of 4 nights : the hotel was fine with it. But they do not get the booking through Agoda but again another agent. So we rang agoda but after hours they say the hotel does not want to change. This is not OK and they do not like their customers, only the money. Agoda app will be removed from my phone right now: I travel 4 months a year!
Absolutely useless. We booked a ten person villa six months before a holiday, only to have it cancelled a few weeks before departure.
Agoda pretty much reacted with a shrug and offered no solution . Would strongly, strongly advise against using them.
Will never book with them again. The airline changed my flight to a time I could not fly, they gave me the option to refund when this happens (as it is normal) but said they cannot as it was purchased through agoda, then agoda refused to refund.
I have just experienced the worst customer service I have ever had. I had a villa booked in ibiza for 10 people, I made the booking 8 months ago and they messaged today saying the villa is no longer available and are cancelling my booking, no alternatives offered, no apology. Collectively we have spent thousands on flights and now have no where to stay.
If I can give zero stars, then it will be zero stars. This is a scam app covered by a travel agent.
I want to reschedule and refund my flight ticket for next week, and the system said I can't do either reschedule or refund.
its a shame. 0 STARS
I had a very disappointing experience with a booking at Mira Home The HillSide Apartment Phu Quoc Firework View
(Mã đặt phòng: 1694773583).

I was charged for my booking on Feb 5 and canceled my reservation on February 6th, well before the check-in date (Feb 21–24), and directly confirmed with the reception that my refund would be processed within 30 days. Based on this clear confirmation, I trusted that everything was handled properly.
However, after the deadline passed, I did not receive any refund. Instead, I was later told that my case would be treated as a “no-show” and no refund would be issued. This directly contradicts the earlier confirmation I received from the property.
The main issue is not just the money, but the lack of consistency and accountability. Customers rely on the information provided by staff, and changing the decision afterward without clear justification is unfair.
I strongly recommend future guests to:
Double-check cancellation policies in writing
Keep records of all confirmations
Be cautious when relying on verbal assurances
Very disappointing experience, and I hope the management improves transparency and customer service.
The PIN code required for check-in was never send from Agoda and they refuse to refund the cost for Hotel.
They force you to do the cashback & fill up all your informations everytime because they want you to give up on it. Scam

Zero stars. They are a scam company. They advertise a cheaper fee, but then they switch dates on you.
There is no customer service it’s all through a frustrating self service option that never answers your questions.
I can’t say enough bad things about them.
I’ve used many travel sites, all good, except for them.
Very disappointing experience with Agoda. I booked and paid for a Superior 3 Bedroom room, but when I arrived at the hotel I was told the booking had been cancelled and I was downgraded to a room with only 2 double beds.
This caused a lot of inconvenience and stress after travelling. The room I originally booked was specifically chosen for our needs, so the downgrade was unacceptable.
What made the experience even worse was how difficult it was to contact Agoda for urgent support. There was no easy way to speak to someone directly when the issue happened, and getting help while overseas was extremely frustrating.
I expected a confirmed and paid booking to be honoured properly. Unfortunately, this experience has seriously affected my confidence in using Agoda again.
I had a very disappointing experience with Agoda. I paid in full for a Superior 3 Bedroom room, but when I arrived at the hotel, I was told my booking had been cancelled and I was downgraded to a room with only 2 double beds instead.
This caused a lot of inconvenience and stress after travelling, especially because the room I originally booked was the reason I chose the accommodation in the first place.
What made the situation worse was the lack of support. Trying to contact Agoda for urgent help was extremely difficult, and there was no easy way to speak to someone directly when the problem happened. Being overseas-based made the whole process frustrating and impersonal.
Customers should receive the room they paid for, or at the very least proper communication and immediate support if changes occur. Unfortunately, this experience left me with very little confidence in booking through Agoda again.
I booked an apartment in Haarlem through Agoda.
The stay was a disaster: the room was unsanitary (dirt and insects). When I went to bed at 10:30 PM and discovered the linens were dirty, the host refused to help, claiming it was 'after hours'.
Even though the host later admitted in writing that the room was 'not up to standard', Agoda refused to refund the 'Taxes and Fees' (£29.85), claiming that the final decision depends on the host. This is ridiculous since these are Agoda’s own service fees, and the host has no power over them.Agoda ignores serious health and safety issues and protects its commission over guest safety.
Unacceptable behavior from a major booking site.

Booked a hotel, received confirmation from Agoda. Turned up at the hotel and was told there was no booking. Owner of the hotel said that it was due to Agoda (booking.com being the owner) being hacked ( I cant verify this). Contacted Agoda who refunded my room and offered me partial compensation, which was not enough to cover the extra cost I ended up paying at the hotel. Moral - always check with the hotel after booking with Agoda to confirm they have the booking. Agoda refused to give me any details of what went wrong which does add some credence to the owners information

I have used Agoda for many years and never experienced issues but nowadays the customer service is horrible (outsourced to cheap, poorly trained Indian teams) and it's very difficult to get help when there is an issue. My current issue is that my credit card was charged a higher amount than the app was displaying before proceeding to the payment and the 3 different Indian customer service executives I chatted to refused to help.

SCAMMERS..I don’t even know where to start with how terrible this experience has been.
I made a simple mistake while booking a hotel stay, accidentally selecting the wrong date. It was booked on Friday, 2nd May for what I thought was the next day, but it ended up being for 9th May instead. The moment I realized, I immediately contacted the hotel directly, trying to fix it. They told me to reach out to Agoda, which is fair enough… except that’s where everything completely fell apart.
Trying to get in touch with Agoda was a nightmare. Calls went nowhere, emails were ignored, and their so-called WhatsApp support is just a useless bot that loops you in circles. No real help, no urgency, nothing. I kept trying for days, expecting at least a basic level of customer service.
Then after FOUR days, they finally respond… just to tell me the booking is non-refundable, non-cancellable, and non-amendable. That’s it. No attempt to understand the situation, no flexibility, no effort whatsoever. Just a cold, copy paste response shifting the blame back onto me saying I “should have contacted earlier” which is honestly ridiculous because I tried contacting them immediately.
This isn’t just bad service, it’s nonexistent service. Completely unhelpful, unresponsive, and frankly disrespectful. Mistakes happen, and any decent platform would at least try to assist or offer some kind of solution. Agoda just hides behind policies and leaves customers stranded.
Absolutely pathetic experience. I would not recommend Agoda to anyone unless you’re okay with zero support when things go wrong.

Completely unreliable booking and unacceptable customer service
I had a confirmed hotel booking with Agoda (booked on 8 April). On 23 April, I was suddenly told that due to a “technical issue” my booking had been placed in a hotel 338 km away. After contacting support, I received written confirmation on 27 April that the correct hotel was reinstated and that I could check in as planned.
Based on this confirmation, I organized my entire trip.
Now, shortly before my stay, Agoda informs me AGAIN that the booking will be cancelled due to a “room mismatch.” No proper solution, no comparable alternative—just repeated cancellation messages.
This is a clear failure to honor a confirmed booking. The errors are entirely on Agoda’s side, yet the customer is left to deal with the consequences.
Customer service has been unhelpful and repetitive, offering no real resolution.
Avoid Agoda if you need reliability. I am now forced to escalate this to the European Consumer Centre and initiate a chargeback.
Completely unacceptable experience.
