SCAMMERS..I don’t even know where to start with how terrible this experience has been.
I made a simple mistake while booking a hotel stay, accidentally selecting the wrong date. It was booked on Friday, 2nd May for what I thought was the next day, but it ended up being for 9th May instead. The moment I realized, I immediately contacted the hotel directly, trying to fix it. They told me to reach out to Agoda, which is fair enough… except that’s where everything completely fell apart.
Trying to get in touch with Agoda was a nightmare. Calls went nowhere, emails were ignored, and their so-called WhatsApp support is just a useless bot that loops you in circles. No real help, no urgency, nothing. I kept trying for days, expecting at least a basic level of customer service.
Then after FOUR days, they finally respond… just to tell me the booking is non-refundable, non-cancellable, and non-amendable. That’s it. No attempt to understand the situation, no flexibility, no effort whatsoever. Just a cold, copy paste response shifting the blame back onto me saying I “should have contacted earlier” which is honestly ridiculous because I tried contacting them immediately.
This isn’t just bad service, it’s nonexistent service. Completely unhelpful, unresponsive, and frankly disrespectful. Mistakes happen, and any decent platform would at least try to assist or offer some kind of solution. Agoda just hides behind policies and leaves customers stranded.
Absolutely pathetic experience. I would not recommend Agoda to anyone unless you’re okay with zero support when things go wrong.

Completely unreliable booking and unacceptable customer service
I had a confirmed hotel booking with Agoda (booked on 8 April). On 23 April, I was suddenly told that due to a “technical issue” my booking had been placed in a hotel 338 km away. After contacting support, I received written confirmation on 27 April that the correct hotel was reinstated and that I could check in as planned.
Based on this confirmation, I organized my entire trip.
Now, shortly before my stay, Agoda informs me AGAIN that the booking will be cancelled due to a “room mismatch.” No proper solution, no comparable alternative—just repeated cancellation messages.
This is a clear failure to honor a confirmed booking. The errors are entirely on Agoda’s side, yet the customer is left to deal with the consequences.
Customer service has been unhelpful and repetitive, offering no real resolution.
Avoid Agoda if you need reliability. I am now forced to escalate this to the European Consumer Centre and initiate a chargeback.
Completely unacceptable experience.

User friendly site with competitive pricing. It was cheaper than booking directly with the hotel.
All the claims are false , Fake photos, misleading informations

Awful
Con
My daughter has MS and after a difficult time treated herself on her birthday. Paid for a holiday in Mexico, rooftop room with pool. When she arrived she got a standard room in hotel.
Hotel say that’s what Agoda booked.
Appalling service from Agoda, people save all year to have a relaxing break only to arrive and find you’ve been conned by your travel agent.
Disgusting and disappointing
Avoid at all cost !
My daughter wasted her holiday contacting you and you didn’t help.

Agoda confirmed my booking for 7 nights at Marevita Hostel, Alicante (Booking #644966959). I arrived on 30 April 2026 to find the booking cancelled. Agoda's own Customer Satisfaction team confirmed in writing: 'the booking was cancelled in the supplier's system — this is ultimately why you were unable to check in.' I was stranded on Labour Day, forced to abandon my entire trip and fly home the next day at my own expense. My documented losses were €626.85. Agoda's final offer: €576.31 — refusing to reimburse my emergency hotel or the flight I took in reliance on their confirmed booking.

Worthless customer service when you have a problem. False advertising on what places really look like vs what they show them to be

I don’t usually post things like this, but this experience needs to be shared.
My family trip to JB was completely disrupted due to multiple booking failures through Agoda — and until now, the resolution offered is USD26.85.
Let me walk you through what actually happened:
1. Original Booking (29 April)
Booked a 2-bedroom family suite for 6 people (including young kids and elderly parents). Fully confirmed and paid.
2. One day before check-in (1 May morning)
Informed the unit was overbooked. Reassigned to another location.
I confirmed multiple times: 6 pax, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms.
3. Check-in day (5 PM, after a long journey)
Arrived to find:
– Not enough beds
– Only 1 bathroom
Completely different from what was promised.
4. After raising the issue
Told it was a “staff mistake” and asked if I wanted a refund — no real solution provided.
5. Tried to rebook via Agoda (same day)
Booking #1 → Payment made → Later told fully booked
Booking #2 → Payment made → Told again fully booked (while we were on the way)
At this point, my entire family was stranded — after a full day of travel.
We eventually had no choice but to return to Singapore.
The main issue is this:
Why is Agoda:
Allowing bookings to go through
Taking payment
But only informing customers later that rooms are not available?
If I had not contacted the property myself, I wouldn’t even have known.
Agoda’s final response?
Maximum compensation: USD26.85.
For:
– Multiple failed bookings
– Misrepresentation of accommodation
– A disrupted family trip
– Being stranded with kids and elderly parents
This is not about the money anymore.
It’s about accountability and reliability.
If you’re booking for important trips — especially with family —
you may want to think twice.
I’m sharing this so others don’t go through the same situation.

Just simple to book free cancellation for convenience
My card was stolen and used to book hotel with Agoda. Couldn’t get my money back for the service that I didn’t use

Worst experience in my 20 years of travel experience....
My booking was confirmed till my arrival...where I discovered that the owner did not confirm my booking.
No solutions proposed..unless." we are sorry, we will cancel your booking with no fees"
Never again...and I highly not recommend it for any one
To jump on Agoda answer...all the procedure that is mentioned was done and completed...I get in touch with the customer support..and request an agent to talk.
I called no answer, unless a chat bot answering.
My booking ID was 601076751 in case it will help, but not sure as the harm is already done.
I was with my family, waiting 2 hours

As long as nothing goes wrong, Agoda works great.
The moment you actually need support? You’re talking to an AI wall.
A simple date mistake turned into a nightmare: endless automated replies, zero real help.
The hotel fixed everything within minutes and approved the cancellation — yet Agoda kept insisting it was denied, completely out of sync with reality.
Customer service that simply doesn’t exist when you actually need it.

My name is Yusuf D.
I had a confirmed reservation for Noxinn Deluxe Hotel (Alanya, Türkiye) for May–June 2026. After 5 months, this confirmed booking was cancelled without any valid justification.
This is already unacceptable, but what makes it worse is Agoda’s response.
Instead of providing a real solution, Agoda keeps insisting that I should pay for a new reservation myself and then “after the trip” they will “review” it.
This means I am expected to take all financial risk again, with absolutely no guarantee.
Hotel prices today are significantly higher than they were 5 months ago. Despite this, Agoda has refused:
Any direct compensation (price difference, damages, etc.)
Any fully covered alternative reservation without requiring payment from me
For more than 3 weeks, they have failed to provide any concrete or reliable solution and continue repeating the same scripted responses.
In my previous complaint, they even claimed that communication through this platform was “not secure” and avoided engaging here, which appears to be another way of deflecting responsibility and covering up their lack of a real solution.
At this point, it is clear that:
A confirmed booking does not guarantee anything
Customer protection is not taken seriously
Responsibility is avoided rather than resolved
I have filed formal complaints with consumer authorities and initiated legal proceedings to recover my damages.
I strongly warn others:
Do not rely on Agoda for important travel plans. If something goes wrong, you may be left completely on your own and forced to take financial risk.

I found Agofa better than some of the older booking apps mostly in price, i guess the others have become too greedy and travellinga lot 20 euros here 20 there it all adds up. There's loads of promo coupons that actually don't do anything, if you compare with the hotel itself or other search engines don't actually help, in some cases it's even higher... I found it rigid when booking and wanting to have the VAT separate for reimbursement so if you want that booking direct with the hotel it's the best bet.
I’ve had a really positive experience using Agoda. What stands out most for me is how they offer very competitive prices along with free cancellation options. That’s really important to me when booking hotels because plans can change, and it gives me peace of mind knowing I won’t be stuck if things don’t go ahead.
Even with free cancellation included, the rates are still very good, often better than other competitors. That’s honestly the main reason I keep coming back. I feel reassured booking through Agoda because I know I’m getting a great deal without losing flexibility.
Because of this, I rarely feel the need to search elsewhere. Agoda consistently offers strong prices from the start, and the added security of free cancellation makes the whole booking process feel easy and stress free.
