Flight from Mallorca to Zürich
Flight from Mallorca to Zürich in the afternoon of July 26th. Spontaneous change in booking from a Swiss flight later that day. Bright and modern interior, lot of leg space, take off with 20 minutes delay, no service during flight (so we ate fruits and cookies from our backpack), smooth landing on time. Reduced to the max, without the usual bling. A clean and fresh experience.

The worst airlines, no one flight is made acc to schedule and you need to expect delays for each flight 1-6 hours! No excuses, no refunds and penalties by EU regulations only with lawyer. Avoid when possible!

I thought I checked in by handing in luggage and getting a boarding pass at the counter like you do at all airports. apparently you MUST check in on the internet additionally, and my name was said over the loudspeaker at the airport where I had to pay 35 euros in fee. I have NEVER experienced this anywhere before. It seems like they just want to take money from people. I will never fly air Baltic again.

Just arrived from Dubai to Riga 7 hours flight ,there where 2 stewardes,made our stay on board uncomfortable,rude ,not polite ,not a sign of a smile ,terrible service ..We travel a lot ,never ever we seeing such rude personal ,felt like back in the USSR ..Long flight ,expensive tickets ,not even glass of water offered for free ..terrible service ,very disappointed

Had a flight from Lisbon to Vilnius. I paid extra to get seat at the front at the 2 seat row. At the desk i was told that something is wrong with this seat and they will have to issue a new seat which they did. When i got in to the plane i found that my "new seat" is at the back of the plane at the 3 seat row, near the window which i hate. Again, i paid for the seat at the front!
But the most exciting thing is that i found that they gave my seat to the couple! Again, they seated people to the seat i paid for! And they put me to the back to some random seat. I started to argue with cabin crew and thankfully there was free seat in the front so the provided it to me, so basically i had to argue and demand what i paid for. If there would be no free seat i would be screwed. So even though the plane itself was very good, as my very first experience with Airbaltic it was not very pleasant.
Update;
What safety reasons you are talking about if airBaltic seated other people to the seat I paid for ? Please tell me one valid reason why my paid sewt was given to other people ?

Delay Time…
Instead of being in Vilnius at 21:00 today, we arrived at 01:30. There was a delay approximately 4h 30 min. This is a very long delay and it has exhausted us. I will never choose AirBaltic again.

Flight was delayed almost 3 hours, since it takes 3h to drive from riga to vilnius. If I would have waited those 3 hours there would be no transport for me back from Vilnius to Kaunas, so I just purchased bus ticket from riga to kaunas. In the airport I got no help at all, this caused me a lot of inconvience and also its very nice try to delay it almost 3h to avoid to have to reimburse people. No help on reinbursment was ever provided, this airline is a joke, also very expensive

I did all of this correctly. I am waiting for the luggage you lost and found and you are not able to deliver less than 100km from the airport in 7 days...and not only that. We are getting missleadings, excuses and obvious lies about possiblle delivery daily. Just get me my luggage or let me know where i can pick it up since obviously i can not trust your service anymore.

Not really good
I flew with them 2 times in total I had 4 flights with connections.I can't say that I enjoy.Airplanes are new but sometimes too dirty.Buy on board is not working very good.For example I ordered food and they bring it to me almost during landing but flight was more then 2 hours in total.

Flight delays, no information, website issues, shoddy customer service
Flight delayed by over an hour in both directions (Gatwick to Riga and back), very little information provided - it felt like customers should just expect this. You can't check in more than 36 hours in advance, yet when I tried to, just before I travelled, the website was down. Check the weight of your hand luggage - you are allowed two items in the cabin but the weight allowance is 8kg IN TOTAL. I had a laptop with me which took my total weight to 9kg, but because the website was down I could not upgrade to 10kg. Instead I was charged £51 at Gatwick for oversized luggage - for an extra 1kg in a carrier bag. When I sought a refund (less the fee I'd have paid online to upgrade if I could have), their customer relations said they wouldn't issue a refund as the information is all on the website (??). I forwarded them an email from Air Baltic that confirmed the issue with their website, preventing me from checking in and upgrading online, and got a borderline rude response. Luckily other companies fly to Riga for not much more money.

Misleading service
Misleading service, bought Air Baltic tickets, BT661*, 05 Jun 2024, 07:35 - 08:45, Riga - Dublin *Operated by AIR Baltic. On checkin found out flight operated by Carpat Air. No advance information/update regarding this change. I personally had a very bad experience with Carpat air previously and would have not flown with them if knew in advance.

1 toilet for economy class
Fully booked 5 hour flight . Only one toilet for economy class which was more than 100 people . Business Class was maybe 10 people for the other toilet . Airbus 200 is not for long flights !

Horrible staff at a register desk at Schiphol
Staff at a register desk at Schiphol is horrible- rude, incompetent (couldn’t normally answer a question about a baggage policy for KM Malta flight where for some reason they were registering clients). It is not acceptable for staff to say “it is not my problem” to a customer, 350 EUR is not a low cost ticket for such service. Unfortunately also a lady refused to call her name and was hiding her badge when i asked her for introduction (it was on Monday 1st of April, around 9:30 am).
Completely broken suitcase. No compensation!
I gave two stars because of my suitcase was broken on all sides upon arrival in Vilnius. In addition, I saw how my suitcase was carefully loaded in Amsterdam. Filing the appeal did not lead to anything. The answer was that I should contact bag repair shops in European cities where I had not stayed or had never been. After explaining that I was leaving Vilnius further by bus and could only go to the repair shop in Edmonton, Canada, that's where it all ended. Moreover, they don’t care how you return home with a damaged suitcase (without wheels) and a broken body. In general, my conclusion is this: if you can avoid flying with Air Baltic, do it. If not, be assured that you will not receive compensation for damage to your suitcase.
My worst experience in ten years of flying
Our recent family vacation flying on your planes was a nightmare and it was definitely my worst ever experience in ten years of flying to different countries and with various airlines. We were flying from Tallinn to Dubai. Below I have more in depth summary, but in general I am shocked at how bad the planes are. Ventilation issues, seats are extremely tight, uncomfortable, apparently they don't stock enough food and snacks, allow coaching which leads to overbooked flights, staff is poorly trained, coffee is just terrible, outrageous prices for water. I will absolutely not recommend to fly them. Maybe for a 2h quick flight otherwise avoid them.
Flight on both ways was overbooked and there's was a high chance of not even getting on the plane. Inside of it something was off with the ventilation so the whole journey felt like a forced sauna room stay. When all the passengers boarded the plane on a return flight, there were some unexpected delays that lasted for a total of three hours. The flight had quite a lot of children and infants on board. Again, the ventilation issues made it almost unbearable to be inside this cramped and fully packed plane. The staff was oblivious to the fact that this is especially difficult for the smallest passengers. There was no coming forward asking whether they are fine, offering water and showing at least some signs of interest in the whole ordeal.
When the flight finally took off and snacks & drinks cart was rolled out, people with infants and children should have been approached first, yet the staff started to serve passengers the usual way - from the first rows onwards. It was not even midway when all of the food and snacks were bought out. Some infants and children including my daughter were able to eat something thanks the senior stewardess who gave up her own lunch. This was a 7.5h long flight and you do not have enough food/snacks on board.
With the whole delay we barely made it to our connecting flight. We also submitted a refund request because of the delay. That you also denied referring to the overall journey's length and it being within the expected time limits to which I disagree completely.
Who cares about your green airline standards and sustainability that you so proudly advertise or accepting crypto to buy the tickets if the whole flying experience with your airline and planes is a nightmare.
We flew with AirBaltic operated flight…
We flew with AirBaltic operated flight and one of our luggage got lost in between the transfers. After landing in RIX we filled the form for lost luggage and within few days it was delivered to us in another city 120m away from Riga. Also they did provide reimbursement for the first necessity items we had to purchase due to the lost luggage. Overall nice experience.

We regularly visit Lithuania and we always try to book via airBaltic whenever possible, even when they're not the cheapest. The new Airbusses are just superior and the fact that the left side of the plane had 2 seats instead of 3 is so nice. Also easy check in online and bag drop is great. Hope they'll open more routes from Copenhagen, to either Kaunas or Palanga, as we now have to fly to Riga and drive down to Lithuania.
