Your services are appallingly…

Your services are appallingly inadequate. For an international airline, the level of disregard you show toward your passengers is staggering. While I recognize that a single customer’s opinion may not impact your overall operations, I will make it a point to strongly discourage anyone I know from ever choosing your airline for international travel.

Your company demonstrates a complete lack of concern for customer experience, and it is abundantly clear that profit takes precedence over even the most basic standards of care and accountability. This is not just disappointing—it is unacceptable. Frankly, your operation is a disgrace, and a glaring example of how far an airline can fall short of its responsibilities to its passengers.

Air France flights are fine, but customer service is awful

Delta - AF connection missed and was rebooked onto an unworkable day/time and without the upgraded seat I had paid for.
US customer service is almost impossible to reach. A two hour wait yesterday before finally speaking with an agent, then in the midst of discussing they hung up and did not call back. I tried to call back but ended up in another 2 hour queue and gave up.
Trying again today and another endless phone queue.
Customer service directs you to the US website, which is an endless circle of frustration, and often simply does not work. It automatically defaults to "sorry, this is taking longer than usual - which is in fact their "usual."
The airline itself when flying is good, but the customer service is atrocious. I've flown AF several times a year for many years, but will now switch and make them my last option.

Worst airline I’ve ever experienced

Worst airline I’ve ever experienced. They split up my family’s seats without notifying us or giving us a reason and then lost our bag. We can see its location with AirTag but no one will help or even seems to care. They continue to give us phone numbers to “local” Air France help lines that cycle back to the main line. We have prescription medicine in the bag but Air France does not care. It’s a terrible company.

They changed the flight day with months in advance and kept selling the original flight at a higher price!!

I bought a flight from Spain to Brazil in April, with departure in December 2025. A few weeks after the purchase, I received a notification that my flight had “changed“: these MFs moved it to the next day, making me lose one day of my hard-earned vacations. The cherry on top? They kept selling that same flight at a higher price!!! That’s overbooking and it’s ilegal!!! I’ve sent several claims, that they closed without answering and contacted the customer care via whatsapp – the service is outrageously bad!! I’ve requested a full refund and compensation. Found countless of similar cases online. I’m never flying AF again.

Booking mistake

I made a return flight booking but the return leg I entered 15th of January and meant to put 15th of February, I contacted the company to tell them of my mistake and they said they can change the flight but it would cost an extra 566 Euro which is over half the cost of the full return flight. They are only interested in profit and have no care or compassion for a person who makes a genuine mistake. I will now have to cut short my holiday to visit my fiancée, we were planning to marry this visit but now do not have enough time to do so. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

We had heard Air France was a good…

We had heard Air France was a good airline to fly overseas. We booked round trip from DFW to BCN. We have not completed the booking, will be returning to DFW April 28, 6:10 AM departure ...Thus far, the flight itself into Barcelona was fine, con action in CDG was a nightmare!!!!! Worst AP I we have flown into, and we have been flying to BCN from DFW, for over 10 years ...The food on board was pathetic, service ...when they came good, but they never came in between meals to offer service ...something AA and Delta did....At this moment, will never fly AF again .... although AF owe us $700, we made a change and reduced the cost, yet we were told all we will get is a voucher. By the way, we are flying First Class, spent $16000 on our two tickets ....not remotely worth it

No (business) class at AirFrance

Bought two business class tickets from Copenhagen to São Paulo. Price around 39.000 DKK = 5.200 euros.

When I wanted to choose my seats I see to my surprise price that I have to pay extra around 200 Euros to choose two seats. I contact customer service since this clearly must be a mistake. But no. 2-3 monts ago AirFrance changed their politics on this and is now charging 100 euros a seat in business class. Or else I could wait and choose my seat for when checking in. And thus risk not being seated next to my girlfriend. This is the first airline I ever experince this kind og Ryan Air tricks in business class. I have within the last year flown business class with Lufthansa, Turkish Airlines and Swiss. None of these airlines practise this "scam".

And if AirFrance pull these tricks/have this "service" in business class then just emagine the things they do in economy class.

Next time I fly lang haul I will definetly not choose AirFrance.

Terrible

Terrible, unresponsive customer service...if you can actually reach someone. Don't know how they get away with treating paying customers so poorly. Never again with Air France! Check out all the Facebook groups, they truly are the worst!

Horrible. Worst experience ever.

Horrible horrible service. I will never fly with you again. They are ignoring me and no one is helpful. It’s been OVER a week !!! They ruined my vacation. Please save yourself and fly with another company. I’ve been a flying blue member for over 10 years. I will take my business elsewhere. DO NOT BOOK WITH AIRFRANCE

It is unbelievable and I have never in my life experienced this.

We were stranded in Paris at CGG airport, went to Terminal C, to get an alternative flight.

This was Sunday night, next option: Tuesday night!
BUT the airfrance supervisor handed out a sheet of paper called “your trip” saying “WE WILL REFUND YOUR ADDITIONAL EXPENSES” in capital letters.

This includes, as described on the paper, transportation, housing and food for two people until the new departure flight. Given that airfrance didn’t have free capacity, we even had to stay at a hotel and pay it upfront, within the budget, to be reimbursed later.

Long story short, a week after the trip, I painstakingly put together all the records with receipts evidence, all in line with the instructions on the paper, and most importantly, after asking the supervisor three times,

Are you sure?! Yes, definitely, go ahead, this is how it is done. And this includes the fact that it was a bad weather event…

So I went online and did as was asked. The answer came within a day:

Dear Mr …,
I write in reference to your last e-mail dated 26 June 2023.
After carefully reviewing the records, I would like to reiterate that flight AF1610 from Paris to Hamburg on 11 June 2023 was canceled due to severe weather in Paris (thunderstorms). Hence, you were rebooked on the next alternative available flight on the following day. We can understand how inconvenient this situation can be. Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused to you.
In line with current legislation, such conditions are considered to be beyond the control of the airline and do not entitle passengers to compensation. Hence, we must respectfully deny your request for compensation.

Despite this unfortunate experience, we hope to see you on board our flights again soon.
We value your loyalty to us.

Air France lost my luggage 2 times in one go! Gave me a care pack containing a stained white T-shirt

Air France I traveled on the flight from London LHR - Paris CDG Wednesday 28/06/23 flight AF1381 and you lost my luggage!! The Service staff at CDG are all new kids, still trained who don’t know jack 💩. A claim was done for my luggage, it was found to still be in London. Your delivery company Chronopost was due to delivery my luggage at my final destination in Lyon. What happened? They LOST MY LUGGAGE!! What a great bunch on incompetents you both are! I had over £2500 of designer clothes, shoes, makeup, hair & skincare products, gifts for friends and not to forget the work tools as I am due next week in Germany for 3 days of conference for my 1 week at my new job! I’ve been anxious, crying and distraught for the last 3 days! How can this happen? London - Paris is 1h flight… how can you mess up something so simple. The worst part is that I’m a FlyingBlue member. Best believe, I want my things back, I’ve also gone to the police station to place a complaint and I want to be compensated for my emotional stress. I’ll never fly with Air France again.

Awful experience during a flight

Awful experience during a flight from Mexico to Paris.
There were many issues but most importantly the safety issue where the cabin crew left an overhead compartment open and didnt let me standup to close it. So it was open with suitcase inside above my head during landing.

Also a lot of cleanliness issues - dirty napkins stashed in the seats and storage areas

Not working headphones on both of our seats

Staff refusing to provide water!!! (this was business class)

And many other issue which are more minor so not worth listing here. Anyway a horrible experience.

NOTE: I have raised complaints about the experience with the support and all they said is 'sorry' without even aknowledging all the issues and safety concerns

I have flown Air France for upwards of…40 years

I have flown Air France for upwards of 40 years and for the first time I see Air France asking Business Class passengers on its Paris-Abuja route being asked to pay surcharges to select seat. This is discriminatory and after years of using Air France I will have to look for a less discriminatory airline. Shame on you Air France
