Unscrupulous operation. Refuse to refund flights THEY cancelled due to Covid-19 outbreak, in breach of their own terms and conditions, and European Law (EC261).

DON'T EVER BOOK WITH AIR TRANSAT.

They will not issue refunds for cancelled flights even when obligated by law.

They won't address the legality of the situation and are treating our money like an interest-free loan.

The company is a scam and your money is not safe. Book with another airline at any cost.

A very unscrupulous company will not comply with EU law and offer refund for flights they cancelled

I booked air transat direct for a return flight Dublin to Toronto. I read their terms and conditions and agreed to them however Air transat cancelled my flights and now say that although their terms and conditions clearly stated that if THEY cancelled my flight I would be entitled to a full refund they were now saying that they are not going to do that. They were decided that they weee going to break their own rules however not only that because this airline flies from a a European destination I am further covered by European law for a full refund if they cancel, they agreed to this European law to enable them to fly from those countries but again Air Transat have decided that they are not going to abide by that law either and simply do what they want. So do not book with this airline as they blatantly refuse to follow either European law or their own rules and conditions. So what other rules do they break makes you think doesn’t it? Once you have handed over your money it is gone. DO NOT BOOK WITH AIR TRANSAT.

Air Transat are crooks, I booked my flight in May to travel in July to Toronto with my son, we are trying to get back home, my other kids are there. They cancelled the flight by email and will not issue me with a refund and I cannot afford to buy another flight with an alternative airline and a voucher is no good to me since they have cancelled all flights to Toronto until April 2021, I want my money back because I need to get home and they won’t give it to me.

We are in the same boat as lots of other people. Why can you not do the right thing Air Transat and give a choice of credit or refund. Canadian Affair who we booked through say our contract lies with you.

Sadly the company is not abiding by EU law on COVID related cancellation of flights. They only offer vouchers.

Terrible customer service by claim my booking credit refund, I spend 2 hours on hold by phone call and they didn’t pick the phone 😡

DO NOT BOOK WITH AIRTRANSAT. They have cancelled my flights twice now and can not guarantee a flight will go to my destination again. Their flight credit is useless to me as I will never book with them cause they can't guarantee they will fly! Customer service is terrible and unhelpful and they will not provide a refund. Credit is fine once but when it's twice that is not acceptable

Why can't you choose no stars? Having to provide a star really grates. As you will have guessed, these robbing *********** have refused a refund for our cancelled flights. Add to that then the first voucher I recieved was for a named passenger and not myself who paid for the flights, so not only do I have to re-book I have to take the same bloody people. How many honest firms do you know that don't give you an e-mail address to respond and don't have one in their contact details. Avoid like the plague. Also if the takeover by Air Canada goes ahead then WEST JET will be very busy

To echo what almost every other person has said about airtransat avoid flying with these crooks at all cost. They have just cancelled our flight from uk to canada scheduled end of September while at same time opening flights to similar routes. Predictably, airtransat are not offeing refunds and have advised to rebook. I will never fly with this airline again. TO ANYONE CONSIDERING FLYING WITH THIS TERRIBLE COMPANY AVOID AVOID AVOID. i intend to pursue this through the regulator and the courts if i have to to get a refund. Dont bother trying to get in touch on their telephone line. Ive been on hold for ages

Had a trip to Vancouver booked in September, just been informed that it is now cancelled, however I noticed that flights to Toronto were resuming July 23rd.. so why not Vancouver?? Been on hold to their customer service team for 2 hours 32 mins and not spoke to a single person yet. Trying to enquire if I can swap my destination from Vancouver to Toronto! As like many other reviewers they dont issue refunds

If I could give them 0 stars I would. Booked a flight 2 days ago, and just yesterday afternoon they decide to cancel flights because of Covid 19 but are denying me my legal rights for a refund and instead want to issue me a voucher. No need, as I will not be using your services again after this. I want my money back.

Why allow people to book flights when you are going to shut down and cancel services? Scammers if you ask me. For your mental health and pocket, save your money and purchase tickets with another airline.

It looks like this company is a big scammer. I booked a flight last night with 2 checked in luggage for July 1st flight. Today, "Bommm" they canceled flight till next July 23.... now they are refusing to pay my money back. They said they will issue a credit voucher towards next flight (Usable only within next 24 months). If they knew that they have no planning to start service till next 23rd then why they are accepting bookings till last moment, don't they know tomorrow morning they have to cancel flights? They canceled the flight, not passengers and don't give stupid pandemic reason because other airlines are still operational within those dates , may be it's your management problem so please, don't say that because of COVID 19 you are cancelling these flights . Also, their customer service agent's attitude stinks.

Airtranst- I don't want to travel with you again, need my money back or provide me another airlines's ticket

People already suffered a lot during this pandemic so my humble request to Canadian government please, intervene, take some serious action and ban this kind of scammers.

ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE!!! They were letting people book flights for July 3rd yesterday and this morning they made an announcement saying that all flights are cancelled till July 23rd. Then WHY DID THEY LET PEOPLE book flights??????? Didn't they know last night that they're going to cancel all flights till July 23rd?? I booked my flight 3 days ago, got the confirmation and everything, went online to check baggage allowance yesterday and guess what?? My flight was still there!!! This morning, I had the tv on and I heard on the news something about Air Transat.. I thought to myself, you have to be kidding now, that's impossible!!! Well, it was not. I was on hold for 3 WHOLE HOURS and then they told me that I can either book a flight ONE MONTH after my initial booking or have a credit amount for a flight for the next 2 years. Well, I won't be travelling for the next 2 years, and I cannot travel one month after my initial booking. So what's your response Air Transat?????????? You're a joke!!!!!!! GIVE US OUR MONEY BACK!!!!!!1

I had my flights cancelled because of the pandemic and Air Transat are refusing to refund my money. I don't want vouchers as I won't be flying again due to loss of earnings. Do the right thing and refund your customers. You are a disgusting company, stealing from people who are entitled to their money back.

Customer service stinks. Illegally not refunding my money. Didn't cancel flights from the app so got handy reminder about a trip I couldn't go on.

Offered a voucher then put the flight costs up.

Refused to give me a refund after they cancelled my flight. They sent me a voucher instead despite telling them I have no interest in travelling with them after their cancellation. Moreover, they changed their own terms and conditions.
