I bought an Alexander Rose cantilever…
I bought an Alexander Rose cantilever garden parasol UH30 about 4 or 5 years ago which has been well looked after. Unfortunately its crank handle recently stopped working and the parasol is now out of warranty. Bearing in mind this is an expensive item to purchase about £500 or possibly more I should have thought that Alexander Rose would have provided a repair service or at least have been able to supply replacement parts (all mine needed was a replacement crankcase which is a relatively small and easy to install part) but no, I was advised by their customer services in consultation with their so-called workshop (can’t imagine what the workshop does as they do not offer repairs) that my parasol was beyond repair and could not be fixed and that they do not do repairs and do not carry spare parts. This beggars belief when it appears you can still buy these parasols through various garden centres/online outlets.They offered me a 10% discount off their online shop products but these no longer appear to include garden parasols so what use is that?
I am extremely disappointed that a company such as this which aspires to offer up-market products has such poor post warranty after-sales service and I would caution anyone buying their products to take account of this. I will certainly not be buying their products again.

I had some issues with a self assembly corner sofa. The connections did not align. I contacted AR by email, and within 4 days ( including the weekend ), the matter was resolved. Chloe was extremely polite and efficient. The fault was due to a manufacturing error. We were given options, and suffice to say, I was satisfied with the final outcome. Excellent customer care team. Good price for two chairs and a table
Good price for two chairs and a table. Delivery by lorry had to be booked in but did all arrive safely. Would have helped greatly to have been given a window by them rather than waiting in all day.
