By brother and I used AGL (and Team Mercer in particular) to conveyance the sale of my late father's flat. Difficulties caused by the freeholder and management company caused many delays and protracted worry, but the people at AGL were helpful and constructive throughout. They provided a very professional service and were easy to contact. Highly recommended.

At first everything went very smooth then after everything fell through, I realised they had submitted wrong information for my lease transfer then, they did not pay the previous owners lease arrears dating jan 2019-dec 2019. I bought the flat in December in Dec 2021. They advised me that they retained funds if such issues were to be raised. I am now being harassed by the leaseholders demanding I pay for arrears that do not concern me. All attempts to get them to do the right thing have been in vain. I’m just so exhausted and disillusioned at this point. Please look up firms reviews before dealing with them.

Absolutely shocking experience from start to finish, no answers to emails, no responses to telephone calls despite promises of call back. Ended up dealing with about 6 different people including the Customer Care Manager who quite frankly didn't care. Mortgage offer expired, searches weren't ordered until October despite paying in July and to top if off was over charged despite having a fixed fee quote with 'no nasty surprises'. Avoid at all costs.

Our mortgage provider sent AGL our £250 cashback of which was never released to us. We now have an active case with the legal ombudsman after following Alexander Grace Law’s complaints policy to the T. No response and we have requested call backs on the site that never come.

Communication is poor when working with AGL and non existent after the sale goes through.

Buying a house is stressful and expensive enough, the last thing you want is to be treated so awfully and have money that is rightfully yours held with no reason .

Excellent service from this firm especially everyone in Team Downs. Responded quickly and clearly to any enquiries. All communication and documentation was accurate and easy to understand. First time that I have sold a property and I would happily use them again.

Awful service from the company Alexander Grace Law, impossible to make contact through their office in Blackpool nobody is ever available to speak to and recommended to email. The process was made difficult from their end regarding the completion of my mortgage as they had ridiculous queries regarding the property that should have been a straight forward process but made it akward and more expensive. I was congratulated that I could go and collect the keys and move into the property but if they had any idea about the transaction they would have known I had been living in the property for 2 years already so clearly they paid no attention to my certain case and just followed a generic non personal process.

Excellent service, I am so happy to have had James deal with the sale of our house, he was amazing and made what could be a stressful experience not one. He responded extremely quickly after every enquiry and was working later in the evening to assist when I needed it. I would high highly recommend

Kate Mercer and her team handled purchase of my property throughout. She was particularly effective at nudging the sellers solicitor back into action when they appeared to go to sleep during the transaction. She was always communicative with me regarding progress, and helped to keep things stress free as far as i was concerned. AVOID!
We were passed through multiple teams who all did not correspond or hand over our house purchase, the incorrect money was requested. They are also illegally withholding our money, it is 2 months post completion. We are now going down the legal route.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
