Awful service. Don’t ever use, they don’t email you back, they have no clue where any info is. You have to be the middleman and contact your estate agent as they ask you to do their work for them. Last week I got told they were emailed some documents, rang up this morning about it and they had no idea what i meant so I had to contact the estate agent for the documents and forward them across. Rang back up and they said oh yes sorry we did get that, and not sure why the previous person had said they didn't because they could see it had come through. Delays after delays, low communication and also not great for a first-time buyer who doesn't know the process fully as they don't talk you through anything or email you back when they say they will.

Fantastic team who sorted our sale and purchase, we would like to thank all Team Mercer, especially Kate Mercer, Kamila Musial and Dena Priestly who dealt with all our queries and chased up the other parties involved, we would highly recommend Alexander Grace Law for all legal dealings.

First time I’ve sold a house so nothing to compare it to but everything seemed to be fairly stress free - thanks team Mercer, in particular Dena who kept me up to date and answered all my questions!

Still waiting for completion documents a year and a half after completing. AVOID AVOID AVOID!! Spend thousands of pounds on a service for the staff to ignore emails. Even the before completion was terrible, not answering the phone, no response - had to get the estate agent to chase before we lost the sale! The lady looking after our case, Autumn, needs to work on her telephone manner, although it was near on impossible to get hold of her.

I was a first time buyer who really didn't have a clue what I was doing. I put an offer in on property which eventually fell through (nothing to do with Alexander Grace Law) I eventually found another property at the end of August, but my mortgage offer was due to expire on October 31st.
It went down to the wire, but with a week to go Michael Sanderson and Chelsie-Lee ensured my property went through on the completion date.
If it had not completed on time, I would of had to pull out.

Do Not Use this company as your conveyancing is being handled by trainees who have absolutely no support. The trainee Courtney who has since left whilst handling my case asked me to get the information as she said she did not know what to do...which became common practise.
This sale has taken over 7 months no chain straight forward sale, and now has fallen through due to the incompetence of AGL not replying to the buyers solicitors emails or calls. AGL did not inform us about the buyer pulling out. This information came from the estate agent , AGL left it another 3 days to notify us only because I emailed them.

After 3 emails and a phone call to Amy O’Brien it took AGL 2 weeks to relay our agreement to complete today to buyers solicitors which has been common practise throughout the entire process sometimes over 3-4 weeks to relay email responses

They actually lie to their customer and without a thread of care about peoples lives and finances
Don't respond to emails in a timely manner on average 2 - 3 weeks
Delay's: Never a clear reason for the work taking longer than expected.
Poor communication: Never return phone calls or regular updates.
Complaints: They do not have a robust complaint process I contacted Karen Niblock who did not follow up my complaint! Further Complaints to The firm’s Complaints Director Donna Marie Sturrock who is responsible for this procedure. goes completely on deaf ears!!
Michelle Howell advised when I asked for answers to my complaints we give a discount after advising I will make a complaint to the Ombudsman for Solicitors

Recommendation: Use your own local trusted solicitor any problems you can knock on their doorstep!

When choosing a conveyancer, the worry is always finding one that responds to queries swifty and communicates clearly so everything is easy to understand.

Have had a nightmare with a previous purchase years ago. However, for this purchase, I did my research and instructed AGL. This is a decision that I most certainly have zero regrets about.

Both Luke and Rebecca have been superb in terms of progressing all legal matters as swiftly as possible and in keeping us updated and answering queries as and when we raised them. Nothing was too much trouble and in turn, this made our home purchase as stress free as possible.

They are definitely both a credit to the firm and I would not hesitate to utilise their services again in the future should I need to buy or sell another property.

when i have used solicitors in the past i have always thought that time stood still and things took forever.

The awful Law firm, and Always no feedback, even though I sent a thousand emails and calls, I am selling my house to buy another new home, and I hire them as both selling/ buying, but they forgot to contact the buyer to get the fund to pay the rest of the fund, I do not need to apply for a mortgage, but it is already in progress very long time and the team is poor follow up, my case is still pending, original seller/ me and the buyer can contact each other and we all target to do completion at the end of August, but now is End of Oct, the buyer and seller's solicitor always said my solicitor difficult to contact and always are no response, the final issue is the buyer said they sent inquiry to Alexander Grace Law one and a half week ago and awaiting Alexander Grace team to reply, but everything they said they do not receive any inquiry, always every time is back and forth many many time, I pay money to hire them but now I look like their employee to keep chase them every day, I try to contact the complaint email that they shown on the website but also same no body contact me. My case is still not complete as of now! I already kept all email records, in case will do further action if affected my buying house. Highly recommend not hiring this law firm.

AVOID at all costs. We didn’t use these solicitors ourself but the buyers of our property did and it was nothing but horrendous. Not able to get hold of them ever, constantly dragging their feet and the sale took about 2 months longer than it should have. We have now moved out of the flat we sold 2 MONTHS ago and I’m still getting bills for my old address because they have failed to provide notice of transfer to the council to advise the property has been sold. I am therefore getting all leasehold correspondence and potentially liable for the leasehold bills still. I can’t stress enough how incompetent and horrendous this firm is. NEVER USE THEM.

Gerogina Masters and team cornish was excellent on my purchase I couldn't thank the girls enough. Gerogina was very efficient and quick to respond to our queries. Our buyers were a nightmare but Gerogina was very quick to resolve any issues.

Fantastic service from AGL and I would highly recommend their services. They went above and beyond with selling my property.
