£90 call out to spend 10mins…
£90 call out to spend 10mins misdiagnosing the fault with our dishwasher. Said it was pipes. Bosch engineer that I subsequently called out correctly diagnosed the fault and had it fixed within 20mins. AVOID
Excellent service on integrated fridge freezer
Took almost £200 off list price for a dent that is invisible now fridge freezer is fitted. Kind member of staff went to the warehouse to measure the door sizes so I could be sure it'd fit and rang me back as promised. Delivered within a couple of days and they rang beforehand so I could get home in time. Would not hesitate to use again.
No stars is more honest
Also called JR Griffiths. This is the kind of company that gives tradesmen a bad name. The engineer came to look at our leaking dishwasher - he opened the door and closed it, and said "you need a new gasket". Which his company would order and then fit but he said, there was no guarantee that that was the problem. Why did he not wish to test the machine and watch it while switched on? Because he could see what the problem was. He said he didn't know how much it would cost but, "not hundreds of pounds". My wife said she would order the spare part myself, which she did, It cost around £18 for both gaskets, and he came back and fixed it - said he couldn't test it because it needed an hour to set. Said if it wasn't fixed, then it was probably the door. Left. Cost £82.00. And guess what, it's still leaking. Needless to say, I am not using JR Griffiths ever again and advise everyone not to. The next engineer is here now, he has turned the dishwasher on to see from where and how it is leaking, and then pulled the dishwasher out from the wall and says there is a problem with the fittings. He is cleaning all the filters also. He says he can fix it with no spare parts necessary. £160 for two hours' work. He is working hard for his money and deserves it. Although, altogether, I could have bought a new dishwasher....
