Adelaide, the property agent at the Bath branch, was outstanding and my experience with this company has been first rate. She responded quickly to my queries, was proactive in recommending properties to view and was pleasant to interact with. I was most impressed with her knowledge of the property market. I would recommend Adelaide and this company most highly.

Seen property of cash,prepared to make offer on receipt of home report failed to send report at 10am called 11.20 had not received as had solicitor and cash in place.failed to communicate.called back 4.30 and told house was sold only explanation was the person dealing with home reports had a dilemma.a bit of a vague company and not even a return call apologising for their actions.let down both seller and purchaser in this case.broadholm street property

So unprofessional and pathetic. All they want is your money and not willing to assist. They let us move in to a damp, dirty and pest infested property. Tried to raise our queries several times with no help. Please don’t rent from this bogus agency.

Very unprofessional. I strongly suspect they sold their clients' ID information. Do not trust them with any ID documents and avoid at all costs!

Last year I rented through the Talbot Green branch and it was a disgraceful process that set my mental health back by a mile.

The communication was terrible and unresponsive throughout. Key questions around the health and sanity of the property were left unanswered. Particularly the quality of the tap resulting in continuous serious leaks, the filth in the property upon moving in and evidence of damp throughout. The 1 star is reserved just for James in this instance -very poor communication and service.

On the subject of the leaks, poor communication in getting the leaks fixed resulted in a very serious leak occurring in the morning. In act of panic I located an out of hours plumber, because the alternative would have been severe flooding damaging infrastructure. However, because it was resolved during the working day I had to foot the full bill of over £400! The biggest joke of all was the agent phoning up after I left asking where the stop cock and meter were in the basement parking - shows the level of interest for the landlords!!

The property was filthy upon moving in, and despite promises to reimburse my cleaning, this never happened.

A challenge with the gas meter resulted in no gas for a full month when moving in. Again, promised of being resolved were never met until I moved in.

Finally, the attitude of the team was poor. Particularly James who seemed indifferent and disinterested in everything.

I managed to move out of this nightmare property early, but that might not be the case for everyone. This seems like an agency who has little interest in the customer and quite frankly could and would take advantage of vulnerable people. Avoid at all costs!

I used Allen and Harris to purchase a house and Connor Sherman was my estate agent.

He was so friendly and helpful. Kept me updated throughout the whole process and would chase up any enquiries that I had immediately.

Also, Liam Tresillian, the mortgage broker at Allen and Harris, was extremely helpful and found me the best mortgage deal.

I highly recommend using Allen and Harris.

My friend and I rented a property through the Allen and Harris branch in Talbot Green, South Wales, and we had the worst experience as tenants.
The letting agents had no idea what they were doing the entire time we were renting the property. They are obviously lacking in very basic training, and were just generally awful with communication and following through with things they said they would get done.

I am urging the management at this Allen and Harris branch to review the way they run the branch, and the training that is provided to letting agents.

As a result of this terrible experience my friend and I are now completely put off ever renting through an agency ever again.

And whoever reads this, please think twice before renting through Allen and Harris. It is a very poorly run agency as far as I'm concerned.

We asked them if the property had any structural issues, and even though they knew it had, they told us the opposite. We found out later when the property information form came through. So they basically breached their legal duty. So I incurred costs and survey fees, which I am now trying to reclaim back from them, but they even make this difficult. Shameful estate agent, the kind that reaffirm everyone's opinion of estate agents.

They went out of they're way to help me even though I didn't live in swindon they were a call away and went out of they're way to help,
Check the property if I had any concerns they were amazing with the viewing,
We had Gemma George and Millie holding my hand they were amazing friendly great since of humor and went out they're way to help,
If I ever had to sell a property I would use them in a heart beat,
They were not pushy as it was a sad sale as a family childhood home and i had to sale it. AAAAAAAAAAAA

My self and my partner used Allen and Harris to view a property which we fell in love with, we then decided to put an offer in.
We have dealt with Poppy throughout the process which has been seamless from start to finish.

Poppy has been very professional and found us a mortgage that suited our needs whilst taking in to account interest rates and affordability.

I can honestly say Poppy is amazing and we would highly recommend her services if you are looking for a mortgage.
Nothing is too much trouble.

We are certainly looking forward to getting the keys to our new family home.

Only Used them for a year and I can’t stress enough avoid these like the plague!
Please do not use them it’s been a experience from hell from start to finish

Paying for full management then having to manage them no call backs, dodgy contractors being sent to the property quoting up to £15,000 in repairs after sending out two local contractors to inspect the same quote no work even required , asked for check ups of every two months received 2 check ups in 12months, tenants ended up ruining the house but was never picked up as never inspected
Accounts unreachable when query’s are made on invoices.
Turn over of staff is crazy! Just as you start a complaints procedure with one member of staff or manager they leave then you need to start all over again with some one untrained in the company and just as you start getting some where they leave!
After taking the management out with a branch less than 2 minutes around the corner it all then gets fobbed off to some one two hours away sequence
Nearly £5,000 taken over the year and not worth 50p for what they have done !
Allen and Harris Stoke gifford will be taking up legal proceedings as don’t feel it’s fair !

We had our viewing booked for today in Swindon at two O'clock, Due to an accident on road we were couple of minutes late. I asked agent to give us couple of minutes, But she said she couldn't spare us any, I pleaded with her, But it only fell on her deaf ears, So our one and half hour journey was wasted not to mention another one and half hour journey going back home. If you can't spare few minutes of your time to your clients even if it is not their fault. I don't think we should considered spending our hard earned money on this Company

Unreliable and untrustworthy.

This company has been a source of frustration for ourselves and our landlord.

We had viewings deceptively organised behind our backs while living in the property, under the guise of agents being allowed to take photos.

We also confirmed our deposit return with our landlord and agent and then received no deposit or response for over two weeks.

My wife was told today after getting in touch it was not there responsibility, until we provided screenshots of the same agent who lied to us previously explaining he would communicate with the landlord and get back to us then failed to do so.

Completely inconsistent, incredibly stressful, unprofessional and no accountability.

I would advise caution before working with or renting through this company.

Charity Shop Sue could show this lot a few things about management. Broker was an imbecile, couldn’t get him off the phone until we paid, then couldn’t get him on the phone. His manager was a nylon shirt wearing narcissist. They caused delay, drift, and endless stress. Avoid like the plague. Financial ombudsman here we come.

I called to enquire about a property to rent. The female staff on other end asked how much i was earning annually & i mentioned i was working p.time & would recieve UC support to pay the remainder but she said i dont qualify to have a viewing. Even though i have a checkable 13yr ref. from my present landlord ISNT THIS DISCRIMINATION.??!!!

Martin and the whole team at the Shawlands branch have been excellent and very supportive through a difficult journey of selling my late parent’s flat. It took longer than expected with quite a few twists and turns but they helped me through each step of the way. A great bunch of people and very professional and excellent communication. No complaints at all. Thank you.

Real estate agency not very serious and not professional at all, I made appointments to visit 2 properties as a cash buyer and they cancelled the appointments only 2 hours before, when I had already taken the day off work and without giving reasons or alternative days for the visits. I wrote to them to understand the reason, but received no reply.... Not at all reliable like the majority of estate agents in Cardiff!

AVOID.
Empty promises and false hopes. The subpar performance of their residential sales manager resulted in a significant financial setback of several thousand pounds. We were hastily guided through the process with the belief in our favourable prospects, continually reassured by the manager. Despite our exhaustive efforts within a constrained timeframe, the situation abruptly fell apart. There were no apologies, no outreach attempts, and our emails went unanswered with no updates throughout the process. It was only after the fact that we received a call from the branch manager, delivering the news that we did not secure the contract.

The team at Chipping Sodbury have been incredible with the sale of my father's property. Sarah in particular has worked tirelessly. We have been kept informed throughout a very difficult purchase, for reasons not to do with Allen and Harris. She has consistently gone above and beyond to help us.
Molly has also worked really hard to support us.
