Release Mechanism- not opening
I called the locksmith about 10.30am on the 07/09/2020 as the release mechanism on my fire door wasn't opening properly - which meant I was unable to close the door properly and had to wait a while for it to slowly open. The locksmith arrived within an hour and open the side of the door, cleaned and fixed and left in about 25 mins. I was very pleased with the service as it was quick, efficient and resolved on the day.

ABSOLUTE SCAM, stay clear. My friend has just been charged £473 pounds for labour
(took under an hour) New lock was 90 pounds and then VAT on top. A whopping total of £567.60 to change a lock in under an hour. Will be contacting trading office to complain and possible small claims court.

Wrong call?
Our request for a locksmith to come out was answered within 30minutes. The fitter made every effort to get the door lock to lock which eventually it did but then would not unlock. A double glazing fitter was able to adjust the hanging mechanism on the door later which then allowed the locking mechanism to operate reasonably well. Perhaps I needed a double glazing professional rather than a locksmith. My wrong call not the locksmith.
