Competitive prices and easy to use software platform, making my decision to use alternative airlines a win-win!

booked a flight last July with gulf air paid with klarna, return flight was cancelled by gulf air on 11 March '26 - informed aa of the cancellation on the same day, spoke them again on 26 March about the refund and they said it would take up to 10 days, 10 days came and went - called them again and they said it would be 6-8 weeks for the refund to come through, I'm only assuming that gulf air would do their refunds in date order - I'm at a loss that the refund has still not been actioned. phoned aa today 6 May to enquire about the refund - all I got was - you have to wait - surely they should be contacting airlines on behalf of their customers when the refund is overdue instead of the customer badgering them and for them to keep the customer in the loop, absolutely no communications by them to even acknowledge that the refund has been applied for (how do I know that they've done anything - I don't), awful service.

edit - I called aa shortly after 0900 about the refund and was told I had to wait. I asked for how long but got no answer to that. I received an email at 1520 that a refund was sent to my klarna account. I am now collating evidence to make a formal complaint about the service provided and the shortfall in the refund amount
