The panniers look great, click onto and off the rack easily and are just big enough for camping cycle touring. The taping inside fell apart (but Altura replaced them); until then they had been waterproof. Main weakness is the pockets if the panniers are full (which they will be if you are touring). I really like having external pockets, but the one in the lid becomes almost inaccessible (I preferred the old style which had that pocket on the outside of the lid). Unless the panniers are only lightly packed it's difficult to get anything into the side pockets (and if they are not fullish, then things fall out easily - zips preferred). Otherwise, a great set of panniers.

Followed the size guide and found all items were too small. Returned them and I have to pay the £3.99 postage. Won't be using them again.

AVOID. Poor quality even worse customer service.
Received item, zip broke immediately when trying on. Returned and refused refund as 'not resalable'! Unresponsive to queries apart from one sentence generic responses.
They then returned the product to me at my expense.
Clearly don't understand consumer rights protection. Wish Id read reviews before ordering.

Two reasons not to buy from this company. Cost of order about £30. Refund £23.

I ordered a women’s padded gilet in a size bigger than I need and it was still too small. So not impressed with that.

Then it cost me nearly £8 to return it for a refund. When I queried this they said “This is the Shipping cost and returns label …These are non refundable and are deducted from your credit,”

Plenty of other good sportswear supplier who offer free returns. Look for them.

Great products. Reasonably priced. Awful customer service. Slow to respond and non helpful. Order has been missing with Evri for two weeks but instead of refunding they just sit behind ‘we can’t offer a refund as it’s still working its way through Evri’s system’, if it’s not delivered by x day come back to us’.
You do. The same thing is repeated. Will never by direct from them again. Do yourself a favour and get from a 3rd party.

Bought a rack bag in November 2024
Strap ripped away from bag after 3 months.
Requested refund sent photos and returned the bag using their return label.
Despite me having proof of postage and delivery from Royal Mail, they claim to have not received said bag.
I have now had an email saying they have refunded me minus 10% of the cost of the bag. No refund showing on my banking app.
Dealing with these guys is really difficult 😵‍💫

Lovely items but the sizing is way out so the whole order went back. Frustrating that the sizing is so much smaller than regular clothing. Just waiting for a refund now

I have bought three medium adult pair of gloves from Altura and I am not satisfied with any of them. The first pair (mitts) was so tight that I end up giving them to my 13 years old son who is very thin and he told me they were too tight for him. The second pair (Nightvision) were very tight in uncomfortable on my fingers. The third ones (thermostrech) had one of the fingers longer than normal. This brand pretends to be an upmarket cycling apparel brand but is not anywhere close.

Bought a jacket which was too small - returned it for a larger size, but was deducted two lots of postage, against consumer law and their own T&C. Dragged it out to formal complaint and ADR, which they ignored.

I wish I'd read other TrustPilot reviews and I would have bought via a third party reseller instead!

Refused a refund on a sub-standard product that had been worn for 1:30hr.

I bought two 2 litre bar bags from Altura's heritage collection about 18 months ago. Unfortunately on one of the bags the side release buckle has broken. I contacted Altura just to find where I could source a replacement buckle from as I believe the bags only came with a one year guarantee. Altura were most unhelpful and told me to contact the place I purchased it from. That I duly did but they told me that Altura will not supply them with spares and so they probably couldn't help me but they would look in their workshop to see if they could find a spare buckle. When they got back to me they said unfortunately they couldn't find one and that that Altura is just a badge put on products that are supplied by a company called Zyrofisher. I contacted Zyrofisher and received an automated reply saying they would get back to me. That was over two weeks ago and I never heard from them again.

So from my experience if you buy any Altura's products be prepared for it only to last as long as guarantee lasts because after that you will be on your own.. I wouldn't buy another bag from Altura because if the buckle brakes you can't get a replacement. The trouble is that although it is easy to source replacement side release buckles you have to have one that matches the female part. This is because it is on a very short piece of webbing that is sown onto top the bag under the lining which means that one has to unpick the whole of the top to get to the webbing underneath. You can't even simply replace the top clip as the webbing loop that is exposed is only 12mm long.

Bought Altura nightvision Tornado waterproof Jacket from Cyclestore a few months ago and I am very disappointed. Jacket material is very poor quality, too breathable (dissipates all body heat even with vents off) and not waterproof at all!
My previously owned Altura Hurricane jacket was way better quality and cost me the same price on sales - shame it had a big rip after a bike accident.
Altura tornado gets dirty very easily and dirt is impossible to clean off! Design is good for cycling but jacket original pink colour is horrible and way stronger and fluorescent than in website. Reflective panel doesn't cover bottom of rucksack - if wearing one while cycling...
Strongly regret getting it so won't buy it again as I don't trust it's quality anymore!

Purchased cycling shorts for my daughter. 2 rides and chamois has come apart. Altura response, 30% discount off a new pair !?.

Disgraceful service. AVOID this company

The Altura website experience was fine. Unfortunately nothing else about the transaction was. I ordered two size medium bib shorts. On delivery one pair was already damaged - the stitching was coming apart, the other was size large. The only option according to Altura was to refund the items. Bearing in mind this was an issue from the Altura side, I would expect an exchange to be made. The cost of the items is now £15 higher than it was at purchase, and no offer to hold the price for me to re-purchase. Not only that, but the return process has taken over a month and the refund is for the items only and not the delivery fee! Avoid this retailer at all costs. There is literally no customer support and they don't care about their customers.

I ordered 3 items. They have arrived, but there is a fault with the bib shorts. The groan area stitching is coming apart. The shorts packaging looked like someone had already returned the shorts. There were greasy marks on the front of the shorts.
I emailed altura that day with photos, I haven't heard a thing from them.
I have returned the shorts and the short sleeve Jersey I bought to go with the shorts.
The top I have kept seems to be good, but time will tell.
Altura needs to up their game with customer service.
Fingers crossed there will be no drama with my refund......

The Google search for a cycling jacket returned Altura as a result, the Jacket style I needed was advertised as 65% cheaper. I put the Jacket and some gloves in my account basket and browsed a lot of the other Altura items. I checked out and paid but the next day my account stated Pending Payment I paid using another method and the next day the account stated Pending Payment. To cut a long story short this has been ongoing for the last two weeks and customer service has been hopeless and in my opinion deceitful.

Ordered multiple times and never had an issue. Cycling gear is good quality and feels really nice to wear.

My only opinion is Don't buy Altura Customer service is appalling. If you do buy an Altura product, Buyer Beware! Better quality products available from other distributors who care about customer service.

Give this brand a miss!

Moore Large went bust, perhaps this company will too.

The clothing is ok, pretty cheap and cheerful but the returns process is a real red flag for me, at the time of review it's been nearly 3 weeks which messes with credit card repayments etc. I'm not normally one to review blast a company but this is completely unacceptable and from reading other reviews is a common thing
