From a greenhorn in cybersecurity to becoming professionally Certified in Cybersecurity. That's impact! I continue to encourage other young folk to enroll in an ALX program. And another thing: I enjoy the Community experience created by ALX. The last Community Hangout held on Zoom was as inspiring, motivating and resourceful as the many others I've attended.

My ALX journey has been an incredible adventure. From collaborating and sharing knowledge with people worldwide to networking and exploring business opportunities across borders, the experience has been transformative. I’m still amazed at how affordable the program is, given the immense value it offers. With access to numerous free courses, the knowledge I’ve gained is priceless it has reshaped my perspective and how I see the world. Completing the Cybersecurity program and two others has been a game-changer for me, I did not just gain practical skills but also key soft skills that makes us relevant in the corporate environment for fast and efficient reliable delivery of services.

My experience with ALX? It's simply SUPERB!
The structure adopted for learning like the ALX ways of work such as EGAD framework has really helped me.
Having been CERTIFIED as a Data Analyst by ALX Africa, I've been shortlisted by companies like PwC Nigeria for Assurance professional opening.
I've always tell people I come in contact with to join the program and many have. So, don't wait any longer.
Available options include Cyber security, Data Analysis, Back-end and Front-end Development, Graphics Design, Content Creation and many others.

My experience with ALX has been both practical and refreshing. In a context where many learning pathways in Kenya can feel overly theoretical, ALX stands out for its clear focus on real, usable skills. What I’ve gained so far goes beyond content, it’s a shift in how I approach problem-solving and continuous learning.

The value is evident. The structure, expectations, and hands-on approach make the experience feel purposeful rather than routine. It’s one of the few programs I’ve engaged with where the outcomes justify the commitment.

I’m proud to be part of ALX. I’ve recommended it before, and I will continue to do so, because it delivers where it matters most: capability.

ALX is a welcoming door for anyone who believe that he or she can achieve more .

LX doesn’t hold your hand, but it does give you the playbook and the team. You finish with portfolio pieces and the confidence to charge for your work. For me, the underrated was learning how to learn fast and operate professionally under pressure

One great thing about ALX is the holistic transformation of the many Africans who are part of this experience. ALX system transforms you physically, mentally, socially, and intellectually. It is more than a learning platform, but a movement to me. I only enrolled to study Data Analytics sometime in 2025, but after the course there was development beyond data analytics.
If every African can become a part of this movement, Africa and Africans will be transformed.

I met ALX for the first time in 2024, and came in with no tech idea. I did Salesforce, and realized I could learn more. I went for a 1-year Data Science program. I am really grateful. No regrets so far, especially if one is able to start and finish a program. I am yet to secure a role in tech, but I value the knowledge and experience so far. Thank you.

Here is the catch. Where is the Full Stack Software engineering course that you guys promised us late last year kindly? And a potential AI Engineering course too that complements the Data Science Machine Learning Track? More about the AI course, where data professionals combine Data Engineering Knowledge and Data Science basics to build advanced (in-demand) Deep Learning Models. Please consider this.

My experience with Alx has been great, I got to know about tech and how to use some AI tools through this company, I took more than a course with ALX, it opened my eyes to opportunity about tech world

The weekly assignments always kept me on my toes which is a good thing.A lot of beautiful things to learn that are not in the normal typical class

Studying at ALX helped me grow in a career I love, where learning AWS Cloud and backend development shaped my path to becoming a DevOps engineer while strengthening my communication, leadership, and technical skills.

Over the past year, my journey with ALX has been one of the most transformative learning experiences of my career. The program pushed me to think differently, collaborate with people from across the continent, and strengthen my skills in leadership, technology, and problem‑solving
As a statistician economist, joining ALX has been one of the most transformative steps in my professional journey. I entered the program with solid analytical foundations, but also with a clear awareness of the gaps I needed to fill, especially in modern data analysis tools and in structuring my workflow.
Through the program, I strengthened my skills in SQL, Power BI, Python, and machine learning, allowing me to diversify my analytical methods and approach problems with greater precision and creativity. These tools have now become essential pillars in the way I explore, model, and interpret data.
What impacted me the most was the Professional Foundations module. It reshaped my work habits, taught me how to stay organized, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and maintain a high level of rigor and professionalism. This shift in mindset has had a direct impact on my productivity and the quality of my work.
Beyond the skills, the ALX community has been a constant source of motivation. Seeing so many people across Africa committed to building the continent’s digital future gives me energy and confidence. It reminds me that I am part of a movement much bigger than myself, one that is shaping the next generation of African tech leaders.

I have done two courses with ALX thus far.
First I took the ALX Virtual Assistant Course. That course opened my eyes to the infinite possibilities to make a difference as a virtual assistant. I got exposed to tools and software I never heard before.
Then I took the ALX Cloud Computing track and it was the most intense and comprehensive course I ever took.
I was prepped and supported to sit and pass the AWS CCP & AWS Solutions Architecture exams.
Both courses got me on the path of CRM & PM software set up, implementation & automation and AI workflow Automation.
As I type this I am building a career in AI workflow Automation & Agentic AI solutions built on AWS cloud thanks to ALX.

I am glad I joined ALX Africa in different programs including AiCE, Virtual Assistant, Data analysis, and others. During those programs I got to learn many valuable things that are not always found everywhere you go to learn and those skills includes but not limited to improved confidence in my ability to do hard things, discovering my hidden talent, collaborating with others for a good cause, sharing knowledge and learning from others without feeling any less intelligent. There are so many things I could say and to be honest I haven't started a job specifically related to what I have learned but the other jobs I did after that there was a big difference in the way I approached challenges and handled them. So I am really glad I joined.

My experience with ALX was challenging, but absolutely worth it. I completed the 12-month Software Engineering program, specializing in Frontend Development, and it pushed me far beyond my comfort zone.

ALX doesn’t just teach you how to code it teaches you how to think, solve problems, and work like a real engineer. The projects were practical, the deadlines were real, and the collaboration mirrored what happens in the tech industry.

It’s not easy. You need discipline, consistency, and a strong mindset to keep going. But if you commit, you come out with solid technical skills, real project experience, and the confidence to build and ship products.

For anyone serious about becoming a software engineer, ALX can be a powerful stepping stone.

Simple, Relevance!
Getting to have Relevant information from the courses and gaining relevant IT skills. That was it for me.
I like the fact that alx does not overload you with info, they rather use information through their course to guide you to the relevant things to focus on.

It’s a fast paced learning program, but you genuinely learn so much. The resources are also impeccable to support your learning journey.

Team work, and the community at large played a very important role to ensure that my learning was great,

I’m proud to have completed multiple programs with ALX Africa, including AI Career Essentials, Professional Foundations, Freelancer Academy, and Virtual Assistant training. Each experience didn’t just add skills to my profile, it reshaped how I think, work, and solve problems.

Through ALX, I gained practical, real-world competencies in communication, digital tools, client management, and emerging technologies like AI. More importantly, I developed a growth mindset and the confidence to navigate today’s professional landscape.

Today, I stand as an ALX Alumni, but I remain a continuous learner, always building, always improving.
