No update after ordering and no customer service

Product was in stock when I placed my order. After a number of days I have received no delivery update, and now, when I look on the website it says the same product I ordered will only be available in 6-8 weeks. I am on the line to customer service waited for over 10 mins for someone to answer my call and in the end they just hang up with no answer. Very disappointed. Update: After writing this review I also wrote to the company and my order was delivered after a few more days.

unreliable dropshipping business

This company seems to list products they don’t actually have in stock or are unable to deliver. I’ve been waiting for months for an order with no clear delivery date in sight. They also don’t seem to respond to emails (it takes days now), and when you call them, you get an automated message saying you’re calling outside office hours — even though that’s not the case.

1 star because of bad delivery process

1 star because of bad delivery process. 10 days after purchase, the product (olive green bench from the collection Palissade from Hay) has not even been shipped yet. I can't judge the product because I don't have it yet. Here in germany, other stores sell the same item I purchased from Ambiente direct. Next time I'll purchase somewhere else. I don't know why they just don't write "out of stock" if they don't have a specific item. Or write a realistic delivery time so the client can decide if they are willing to wait. It would be more honest.

Delivery delayed and, when received, not complete

It is already the second time now that AmbientDirect takes much longer to deliver a good than the estimated date showed at the time of the purchase, and finally, when goods delivered, the order is not complete. The first time, it was a sofa where the pillows were delivered, but the body of the sofa was lost for more than 1 week, and now it was Artemide Tolomeo suspension lamp where the shade was delivered but the body of the suspension lamp is missing! One time we understand, second time is really upsetting!

Appalling correspondence. Late delivery.

I am still waiting for an order made on the 20th December 2024. When I ordered the chairs it said 'in stock' so I assumed they would be sent out. Today is the 1st April 2025. The telephone line doesn't work. In an email sent to me on the 16th March it said that the chairs were being despatched in 1 - 3 days. It is now 1st April 2025. Where are they? We have asked for a tracking number. No response. AmbienteDirect has over 1000€ of our money and we do not have our purchases. We are not being fully informed about our purchase. Very unhappy with this company and their correspondence.

I ordered a Hay sofa and a lamp

UPDATED:
After my first review, the company people replied to my emails agreeing on the cancellation of my order. And now I have received the refund, which I really appreciate very much.

However, I still think that the communication is very bad. They are not responsive at all. That made me feel like they are a scammer, especially when you make a payment and later they inform they can't deliver and you can not reach them by either emails or by phone.

OLD STORY:
I ordered a Hay sofa and a lamp. I made a bank transfer for payment because I was told to enjoy a 3% discount. After the payment was confirmed, they emailed to say that the sofa can't be delivered because the product has been discontinued by the manufacturer. I asked to cancel the whole order and would like to receive a refund. I haven't heard back anything from them. I sent a couple more emails, with no replies. I called them on the phone but the phone rung automatically saying that they are not available to answer a phone call.

I am now wondering if this is a scam company. ANYONE HELPS ME, PLEASE!!

Returning goods outside GER is complicated and expensive

I tried to return part of my order for 2 days, helpline only available from 8-14h but nobody ever picks up the phone, after waiting 5 minutes you simply get kicked out. After that, I sent my inquiry to exchange 5 packages from Spain back to GER. Answer: I can just return, not exchange, on my expense (150 EUR outside GER). Will not consider to buy here again

unable to manage its stock and to deliver in due time

I placed an order the 5th of November for a table which was due to be delivered 6 to 8 weeks later. I needed it before Christmas. The 9th of December, I received an email informing me that the table was ready to be dispatched. Now, I am informed that the table is no longer there and that they have to place a new order, which means 6 to 8 weeks more delay. Ambiente directe is obviously unable to mange its stock and probably used my order to send it to another customer. This is totally unprofessionnal. Ambiente directe doesn't answer phone calls anymore, probably overwhelmed by the consequences of mistakes in management.

Overall a good experience
