Mould on toilet roll from a sealed pack

I purchased Andrex Supreme Quilts Toilet Tissue 4 Rolls from Sainsbury’s and one of the toilet rolls that I removed from the sealed pack looked like it had got mould on it - part of the roll was squashed with stuck crinkled layers of toilet paper with grey stains. Called Kimberly Clark customer service who were useless repeatedly asking me the same questions and offering a small voucher that can only be used instore and did not even cover the cost of the toilet roll. Have since switched brands and no longer purchase any of Kimberly Clark products including Kleenex and Andrex

product has changed, smells weird, seems cheap

i would have given 5 stars before but due to changes it’s now 2 stars and thats being generous. bought andrex (family soft with puppies on)for a long time. was disappointed they changed packaging a good few months ago, as it had a handle. not easy to pick up a 24 pack without handle but persevered, even though i have arthritis, but it’s niggled me every time bought a pack since. also i have dark grey bathroom and it leaves lots of fluffy fibres on floor etc. always cleaning it, but just put up with it as nice and soft and thickish and we were all happy with the paper itself. then last 2-3 months i’ve noticed a strong smell when opened a pack, maybe like cheap paper towels. it makes the whole bathroom smell of it, it’s that strong. anyway its not very nice, i’ve also noticed it’s making me itch since the smell arrived, obviously they’ve changed the products they use to make it. and so that was it, i’ve had to buy a different brand. i’ve gone to cushelle, blue package koalas on roll, 32 rolls, handle on the pack, no fluff, still soft and no itching, and it’s roughly the same price. from my experience andrex are changing their products to get everything as cheap as possible and it really shows! the only thing i like about andrex now is that they have puppies on the sheets.

Andrex wipes used to have 40 sheets and…

Andrex wipes used to have 40 sheets and quite thick and you only needed one. Now you get 36 sheets that are smaller thinner and you need 2. Yet they cost just the same. Poor quality and shrinkflation at its finest. I stopped using the toilet roll for the same reason

3rd material quality downgrade in 5 years.

Why did you ruin the composition of the most trusted toilet roll in the UK? This last round of ensh*tification which began around November 2025 which was no doubt intended to create financial growth through using lesser quality paper for the same price ( financial growth that the company didn't need btw) has left it of the same consistency as budget loo roll.

I'll be making the jump to the Lidl own brand because it's like Andrex was 18 months ago for half the price 🙂👋 toodles.

If I could give nil stars I would.

If I could give nil stars I would.
What has happened to what was once the market leader.
I have bought andrex for as long as I can remember.
Andrex complete is so thin it is unusable !!.
They charge top prices for quality that has gone down the pan (excuse the pun).
No more, I will be changing over to a different make from now on.

Thin toilet paper.

Andrex ultimate quilt toilet paper seems to be so thin now that is disintegrates at smallest amount of moisture. It used to be brilliant and fairly thick, not any more. I will not buy it again. Search is now on for a good quality paper.

Won't be buying again

Thin, narrow sheets and a huge hole in the middle of the toilet roll. What has happened to Andrex? From the former premium brand it has become low-grade economy. Very disappointing. Won't be buying again.

Andrex toilet paper. Really poor quality, bought the quilted and it was as thin as tracing paper but not nearly as strong! Will not buy again.

Andrex ultimate quilts

The outer packaging suggests that they are patterned on the towel, but when opened they are not patterned on the towel, this very misleading and falsely being discribed, I am very disappointed this way of falsely discribeing your product to trick customers into a purchase.

Andrex toilet paper quality in the toilet!!

Andrex toilet paper of late is beyond useless. It is now worse than the cheapest toilet paper public sector organization use. I have used this toilet paper for decades now and can say, I actually thought I picked up the cheap toilet paper by accident - nope, it was Andrex. NEVER AGAIN. Why would I pay 20% more for Andrex when the quality is the same as, if not worse than the cheap toilet paper from discount stores? shrinkflation at its very worst!!!!!

Kimberley Clark give up wasting paper.

Firstly to offer a review you must select a minimum of one star. I feel offering this is in line with the companies expectations of quality so apologise to those offering similar reviews. I personally removed their product from the house as the quality match the purpose of what they clean. Unfotrunatly after 5 years of not purchasing we had limited choice (Morrisons) and their unique 3D WAVE texture. Spent more time using my own hand. Please Kimber Clark share holders stop supporting this company they are not a quality product.

Andrex!!

Andrex!!! The trusted toilet rolls we've had for years and years. Started doing quilted, yes good, was best of any others for quality and strength. Then bit bit bit the rolls started to get smaller, thinner and narrower. Used to only be able to get 2 into my bathroom cupboard, now 4. Very disappointed and after being a loyal customer for so long need to try another brand. The newest andrex with ylang-ylang is the worst. No more andrex for me. And your adverts are vile and disgusting. A very strange man doing strange stuff is awful and the kid at school is gross.

Used andrex supreme quilts fur years…

Used andrex supreme quilts fur years until it suddenly changed to ultimate quilts. It's not the same quality, disintegrates with the smallest amount of fluid and even with 4 sheets fingers still go straight through. It's also very linty and these little bits get in places you'd really rather not have them! I've bought my last pack, when it runs out I won't be buying again unless ultimate quilts come back.
