This has happened on the 23rd Step late night at terminal 2.My husband and I was treated in a most unprofessional manner and the way this situation was handled by airport staff resulted in me being placed in an unnecessary and uncomfortable confrontation with another passenger, despite the fact that I had been patiently waiting and following the rules.
I had already submitted a formal complaint and hope this issue has been formally recorded and investigated.
I travelled to Antalya yesturday (11th september) Our flight was at midnight although this was delayed for an hour before departure due to having to clean the aircraft before we boarded. I arrived here with my mother who has trouble walking and needed assistance with a wheelchair. I also needed assistance with a wheelchair because of my ankle which i got since my holiday started and i have autism. Went to the signpost with a display of a wheelchair and used the red telephone. My mum picked up and there was no answer, so she tried again. This time someone answered with an arrogant aggressive tone saying "WAIT". Then she waited for 5 mins then they told her they have people coming with two wheelchairs. 30 mins later a Jet2 Rep came over and asked us how long we've been waiting ans assured us he's going to get someone to bring the wheelchairs. Eventually 1 person came down , then another 2 people with 2 wheelchairs. Mind you other people was also waiting for disability assistance for a long time , one man with a broken leg using crutches gave up waiting and went through the security checks himself. I was given a wheelchair but my mum had to wait? so i gave her my wheelchair instead because she was the priority. After this they made me push her to the security check and x ray. I had to put all of our hand luggage on the conveyor because our assistant was too busy daydreaming. Then once we both passed through security our assistance left us. No warning , just left us. We had no idea where to go. I had to push her around and followed the crowd. At this rate my ankle was hurting so badly and i was in agony. So i stopped walking and pushing.I was almost in tears when finally some other assistance person showed up and asked me to push the wheelchair whilst he carried our suitcases. Got to the baggage handling area and there was 1 jet2 assistant! FINALLY! (or so i thought). She was no help at all only asking if i needed a wheelchair HAHA. So of course i said yes feeling so humiliated in the process. The staff looked at me as if to say i didn't look disabled or needed a wheelchair. So i was given a wheelchair after walking atleast a few meters. This assistant who was supposed to be pushing my mum around finally started doing his job but no one else would push me so he has to push both of us around to the boarding terminal himself. My mum tipped him 10 euros at the end because what a legend. Will not be returning to antalya or turkey for that matter. What a shame , i love Turkey but this was a traumatic experience for me and my mum. Thank god we had that one man to push us both or else we would've missed our flight. Do no come here at all go to dalaman airport instead , its still a hassle but not as much as this one.

Security absurd. Recent exit after exhausting delay. 4th. Time Passport boarding pass near gate. Walked ten yards for procedure to be repeated! So long to get through that we were literally told to go to gate once through. Staff rude and look positively hostile towards passenger. Not a smile anywhere. Jet2 ground staff incompetent about family priority. We had a baby, 4 yr old, 6 yr old and an eleven year old . Will never use again.

Terrible Airport Experience Ruined an Otherwise Great Trip
Terrible Airport Experience Ruined an Otherwise Great Trip
Traveled as a family of four (two adults, two children). Because we couldn't check in on the British Airways app, we arrived at the airport early around 1:30 PM to ensure everything went smoothly. Unfortunately, the airport experience was an absolute nightmare from start to finish.
Complete Language Barrier: The information desk staff and security officers spoke virtually no English, making simple questions impossible to resolve.
Delayed Check-In & Lack of Seating: The BA check-in desk opened over an hour late (after 6:00 PM instead of 5:00 PM). With roughly 20 seats available in the entire area, my family and children were forced to sit on the floor for hours waiting.
Exorbitant Prices: Expect extreme price gouging—a simple McDonald's meal for the family cost £84.
Invasive Security: We were put through 5 separate security and bag checks. The pat-downs were extremely aggressive and felt deeply invasive and uncomfortable.
Chaotic Boarding: Boarding was completely unorganized with no group calls and no apparent British Airways ground representatives to manage the crowd.
Turkey has so much to offer as a country, but the overwhelming, disorganised, and invasive airport treatment means we will never return.

You lose Money paying Carjet anything. They tell you to pay car ensurrance, full. But they take the Money and leaves you behind when you get stuck in the Airport, searching for carJet, which IS NOT TO FIND ANYWHERE!! You get stuck with its car supplier, for my case, CarExpress, who tells You, they have Nothing to do with what you payed off Full Car ensurrance to Carjet! So you Have to pay a New ensurrance for the car, or you gonna Pay 1200 EURO in deposit, to get a Car, you did not even ordered at the first place, by Carjet! I was stuck so, and was forced to pay Double price for a Lower quality Car than supposed, and Carjet would Not refund Me Any Dime!. Leave it! Find another more qualified to service you !!

The treatment we faced was absolutely appalling.
We were travelling back home and had arranged special assistance because of mobility issues. The Havas assistance staff took over 30 minutes to respond, initially we were helped through the first checkpoint, after that we were left to manage on our own through the airport. There was no meaningful assistance through the remaining security procedures or while navigating the airport.
What made the situation even worse was the attitude we encountered. We were shouted at, spoken to extremely disrespectfully and made to feel like an inconvenience simply because we required assistance. I was accused by the staff at the check in desk of lying about an injury I have that is affecting my mobility at the moment, I was asked to confirm what the date was. Being questioned and treated in this way while already struggling with mobility was humiliating and completely unacceptable.
Not only this, but my grandma was repeatedly shouted at going through security in Turkish as they swabbed her hands and clothing. The woman tried to communicate in English ' Control Control' and when I told her that she doesn't need to speak to us in this way, we were gestured to keep quiet. Not to mention, she was the ONLY one that had these extra checks done. They removed her shoes and made no attempt to help us in anyway.
Special assistance exists for a reason. People with disabilities, injuries etc. should not have to fight for basic dignity and support while travelling. Nobody should be made to feel that their condition is somehow an inconvenience or that they have to prove that they are genuinely injured before receiving help.
As a person of colour, I also found the way we were treated deeply upsetting and it has genuinely made me question whether I would ever want to return to Turkey. Tourists spend their hard earned money travelling to the country and deserve to be treated with basic respect, regardless of their race, disability or mobility needs.
The German/Turkish people in general treat black people like outsiders, like we don't deserve the same luxuries as them. In 2026, you wouldn't think we'd still need to be discussing racism and racial prejudice. Even our hotel experience came with issues, German people not even wanting to be in the same lifts as us, getting proportionally a different service because we are black.
To all racists, do you even have valid reason to not like us? Or has history just made you build this obscene picture that we are worth nothing? It's crazy, because you will still want our money and you will still want us to come back to your countries and invest into your culture, but yet basic respect only exists for those that are not black.

As a someone who works for Swissport at BHX this airport has the rudest staff and is over priced.
Due to the length of time taken check in and going through security I had only 20 mins to grab some food which came up to £84 for 4 meals at McDonald's. Despite paying a rushing to my gate half of my order was missing which I couldn't go back to get due to my flight departing.
Then the staff boarding the Easyjet was highly rude and not very considerate about anything.
Customer service is non existence and the staff and amenties need to be review.

I’m here now and I’ve got to say, everything I’ve read on here is complete nonsense.
Flying Antalya to Bristol.
Loads of staff. Really helpful. Spotlessly clean. Bottles of water £2, loads of seats.
Kids had two slices of pizza (a slice is about a quarter of what we would call pizza) Coke Zero and wedges. £16. Absolutely acceptable.
Security was busy but really well staffed. I accidentally left my watch in a tray and they couldn’t be more helpful to try and find it. I got it back.
Loads of toilets.
Airports I’ve been too recently that have been worse than this one.
Bristol
Manchester
Sharm el sheikh
Charles de Gaulle
Could probably go on…
People are proper right moaners aren’t they.

Very rude staff and inhumane treatment to visitors. Also no safety whatsoever, actually I got my shoes stolen inside the airport. I went to the prayer room and left my shoes outside, minutes later it is gone. I told security and reported it to the airport police, guess what? No CCTV in that area. So the thief/ staff knows exactly what there are doing?
Sincere advice, Avoid Antalya or Turkey completely if you can

Save yourself the headache and prepare for an utterly miserable experience at Antalya Airport. The entire operation feels designed solely to rinse every penny from trapped travelers while treating them with absolute contempt.
First, allow well over 3 hours just to clear the absurd security checks. The process is painfully slow, totally inefficient, and the security staff are unbelievably rude. In what world is it necessary to pat down a 7-year-old child and swab their personal luggage? The mind boggles.
Once you finally clear security, expect to pay extortionate, eye-watering prices for basic food and water. There is a severe lack of basic seating, leaving families sitting on floors and luggage while waiting. The company operating the airport couldn't care less about passenger comfort or assistance.
And if you think management cares, just look at their copy-pasted, generic template replies on every review page asking you to email "cms at antalya-airport.aero". It’s a total illusion of customer service. Allow extra hours, bring your own snacks, and avoid this airport if at all possible.

Worst airport ever. Have to spend 30 per family at check in, workers being slow, check baggages, then spend ages waiting in line for passport control and check baggages again. Straight after I think I fill finally get to sit down, I find out there is nowhere to sit apart from restaurants.
Airport has had a good renovation with plenty to eat and drink however the pricing of everything is very high, Be mindful at KFC or McDonalds you need to be prepared to spend £20-£25 per meal.

Very poorly organized airport – chaos and unnecessary waiting
We arrived at the airport 3 hours before our scheduled departure, yet we spent most of the time standing in various queues and going through repeated checks.
Right at the beginning, we had to go through a security check, even though we still had our uncheck-in luggage with us and check-in for our flight had not even opened yet. We then had to wait in a long check-in queue. After check-in, there was another boarding-pass check, followed by passport control and yet another security check.
The whole system felt extremely chaotic and poorly organized. Some areas of the airport were completely overcrowded, while other parts were almost empty. The food terrace was particularly overcrowded, with hardly any available seating. There were also long queues for food and drinks.
Another major problem was the noise. There were constant announcements, often overlapping and competing with each other, making it difficult to understand what was actually being announced. The whole atmosphere felt stressful and chaotic.
Boarding for our flight was delayed by approximately 40 minutes. Despite the fact that we were clearly waiting to board, the staff insisted that the flight was not delayed. There was no explanation and no apology for the situation.
Once boarding finally started, another chaotic situation followed. There was an enormous queue inside the jet bridge before entering the aircraft, something I have never experienced before. The designated boarding zones were not respected either, so everyone ended up boarding together in one large crowd.
The worst part was what happened with the seating. Our family was split up, and other passengers were seated between us — passengers who were also travelling together and had themselves been separated. The whole situation felt completely uncoordinated and unnecessarily stressful.
Antalya is obviously a very busy airport, but the number of passengers alone cannot explain this level of chaos. The main problem seems to be poor organization, lack of coordination between staff, repeated security checks and ineffective management of passenger flow.
Overall, a very unpleasant experience. If you are travelling from Antalya during the high season, I strongly recommend allowing a very large amount of extra time and being prepared for significant delays, queues and chaos.

Worst airport in the world. No space left for people. Just overpriced food and clothing. McDonald’s was charging 19 Euro for a Big Mac meal. Disgusting. Put me off Turkey.

Absolutely a sham of an airport, after passing two security checks with body scanner they chose me and my 3 children for a random bag check, namely because i wear a headscarf. Ironic for a country such as turkey that is meant to practise the same religion yet none of their women wear headscarves, or practise any religion, I was picked on and discrimated against. Went through every aspect of my neatly packed bag full of clothes, for no reason and finding nothing, humiliating, infront of the whole queue leaving it a mess and then me having to repack it again on my own. My daughter had her bags turned upside down and was touched up by the female staff for no reason, again a punishment for being a traveller able to even travel. Most cant even speak english yet working at an airport. Even souvenirs that i had bought in their country in their shops were swabbed. What does this say about your goods? Should we not purchase anything to avoid this hell. Makes no sense as security at the london end where we came from and were returning to wasnt as severe. Jobsworth security staff trying to show they are doing an important job when really they are nothing in their own country. At security they get to get their way and a Final kick in the face for us visitors, and almost revenge for us spending hard earned money there to boost their tourism and pay their wages. Antalya, what crown jewels do you think we are stealing from your country? Known for 'cheap as chips or asda or aldi' known for selling cheap fake goods that blatantly copy high brands. Shouldnt you be monitoring that? I found it ironic, that we were british travellers, flying back in a british airline, having come through and returning back to a british airport were subjected to this ridicolous waste of time at security, which i am pretty sure always amounts to nothing but an act of authority. I think this is my last visit to turkey, especially to antalya. I found the locals with a chip on their shoulder ready to scam you in every way. Arrogant and rude. Dont even smile, which us free ! Better to spend your hard earned money elsewhere where you are respected and treated kindly. I am sure our british airports are far kinder and polite, to travellers visiting our country. In comparison having travelled to bodrum and marmaris far better airport experiences and holiday. Best to avoid antalya!

Travelled from Antalya to Cardiff yesterday as a family of 4 with 2 children under 12. We had 5 security checks which took approx 2 hours to get through, including one at the gate in open view of everyone travelling on our flight which was humiliating, they said it was random selection but it seemed to be all the white women/children, my 11 yr old daughter was also body searched although I was present for this I still wasn't too happy ! McDonald's is a complete joke, took 25 mins after we ordered and it was all wrong, missing items and charged for items they didn't have, the staff were awfully unhelpful when we told them and just walked off hoping you would do the same after we paid £65 for 4 of us !!! Loads of other customers kicking off whilst we were there.
If you are relatively new to the way airports work I would avoid Antalya at all costs. Once you check your bags in you are literally on your own to figure it out. No information is given by the check in staff, they act as though it's a chore to be there and you are an inconvenience to them. We had no time to look at duty free due to the time it took getting through security etc. The place is a complete shambles and although it has been improved since my last visit its still put me off ever travelling to that area again. Staff at passport control and boarding gate were friendly but the rest treated us as though we were cattle! I would strongly suggest some training in customer service.

I have travelled through airports all over Europe, and Antalya Airport is, without exaggeration, the worst one by a country mile.
This place feels like it’s built with one goal only: squeeze every last cent out of every traveller unlucky enough to walk through it. The prices are so unbelievably ridiculous that they stop being funny and become insulting. A tiny, mediocre McDonald’s meal costs so much you’d think they were serving Michelin-star food. It’s nothing but blatant price gouging.
The staff I dealt with came across as rude, dismissive, and completely uninterested in helping anyone. Asking a simple question felt like you were inconveniencing them. Basic customer service seemed optional.
The entire airport is stressful, chaotic and leaves you counting the minutes until you can get out. Between the outrageous prices, poor service and overall atmosphere, this was honestly one of the worst travel experiences I’ve had.
I’ve been to airports in some of the world’s most expensive countries, and none of them come close to this. This place makes them look cheap.
If there were a competition for the most miserable airport experience on Earth, Antalya Airport would be fighting for first place. An absolute embarrassment.

The signage/information at this airport is appalling. I don't book package holidays and I make my own way to and from airports, which is not usually a problem. I got a tram to Antalya Airport and the tram stopped on a bridge opposite a large new looking building with International Departures on it in large letters. Obviously, I assumed that this was the place to go for International Departures. There were no signs on the bridge telling you to go anywhere different. When I got to the building called International Departures, the doors didn't open and after peering through the glass I couldn't make out anyone inside, so I went back and spoke to some airport crew, who told me I had to get a shuttle bus to Terminal 2 and pointed me in the right direction. The only signage where you caught the shuttle bus said Terminal 2. It didn't say Terminal 2 for International Departures. It didn't say shuttle bus. It just said Terminal 2. Are we all supposed to be psychic? Or do they assume everyone goes to the airport by transfers and is delivered to the correct place and no one uses the tram to get there? The shuttle bus then set off via a dual carriageway to Terminal 2. It only took a few minutes, but I don't see how you could have got there any other way or how you would know that is what you had to do. I eventually got there a few minutes after check in had closed and missed my flight because they wouldn't allow me to board. The woman on the Information Desk was unfriendly and unhelpful and should not be working in a customer facing role. It was all extremely stressful and cost me a lot of money. Antalya Airport - improve your signage and get some staff who know what customer service is!

My recent experience at Antalya Airport left a lot to be desired and was unfortunately one of the most stressful parts of our holiday.
Travelling with young children is challenging enough, but we experienced baggage-related issues and found there was very little communication or meaningful assistance available. Obtaining information was difficult and passengers often seemed to be left to figure things out for themselves.
The airport was extremely busy and at times felt chaotic, which only added to the stress.
One particularly disappointing aspect was the attitude of some airport staff.
During passport control, the officer dealing with our passports was rude towards my wife while she was trying to manage our children. Rather than showing patience and understanding, she was spoken to in a dismissive manner which left us feeling uncomfortable and unable to challenge the behaviour.
A second incident occurred in the departure area. I suffer from ongoing back problems and was using a walking stick. At the time I was carrying my young son on my shoulders, managing hand luggage and clearly struggling physically. My son was eating a packet of Pringles that had been purchased within the airport when a security staff member stopped me and demanded proof of purchase.
Despite my obvious difficulties, I was required to stop and search for my receipt. The situation felt completely unnecessary and embarrassing. Another passenger nearby even commented that the way I was being treated was unacceptable.
Whilst security checks are obviously important, there is a way to approach passengers professionally and respectfully, particularly when they are clearly travelling with young children and dealing with mobility issues.
My other major warning for travellers is the cost of food and drinks inside the airport.
Eat before you arrive if possible.
The prices are absolutely eye-watering. A McDonald's Happy Meal was around £12, and most other food outlets were similarly expensive. Feeding a family can become incredibly costly very quickly.
The airport itself is modern and reasonably clean, but poor communication, unhelpful customer service and excessive food prices left a very negative impression.
Based on my experience, I would be reluctant to travel through Antalya Airport again.

Just awful. I will never fly into Antalya again. Dropped off early, lots of waiting for the Tui desk to open, totally disinterested staff apart from this one TUI rep who was trying to help people out. At least 4 stages of security and then a final one at the boarding gate where I was searched including my bags and everything was swabbed. They say it’s random but they targeted white women and Asian and mixed race men and it was almost every other person.
The air conditioning was useless it felt third world with an air of fear. The facilities looked impressive but they totally took advantage of the captive audience we had a party of 6 with one child and the total was £105 with no vegetarian option. There was no time to relax given the 5 hours it took to move through the airport. We returned yesterday and will never return to that part of Turkey just awful.
