Bought a iPhone last year the speaker doesn’t work I have tried to get in touch with with Argos but can’t I was told by the Apple Store that my consumer rights should be come into this because the phone was only 1 year old on the 22 march2026 when I bought it but can’t get to speak to them they just dismiss me

Telephone query

I had a query with Argos card. A young fellow, who said his name was Ben, helped me with a very patient, friendly and professional manner. The sort of service an old fellow like me is very grateful for.

Disaster - Stay Away

Like many others, I found that my gas supply was switched off by Argos without my knowledge, not even an email or an app notification was sent! What kind of company is this?!

Even if they are the cheapest provider, I will never consider Argos again. A joke of a company with 0 customer communication.

To make matters worse, they have taken money from my account and not even refunded it back!

This is a relatively new store in padova, and every few month the salesmans are changed.
I guess its because the superior company of argos are receiving a lot of complaints about the salesmans that are SCAM ARTISTS, stay away from this company!

Last march i moved to a new apartment and was looking for a company to supply me with gas. After seeing the good reviews for argos on trustpilot I decided to go to the nearby store here in padova and make a contract there.
I met there samira and later on Monika, who both pretended to be extremely nice and kind. they gave me a lot of notebooks as gifts. samira also kept repeating that with Argos I have the lowest prices on the market:

She offered 0.45€ for 1smc, and promised me that the quota fissa is one of the lowest in the market and only 6€ a month.
I signed the contract and she gave me a printed copy, said that I’ll get another finalized copy on the email. this one did not arrive.
A few months later I noticed that the bills were too expensive considering that I’m barely at home cooking in the summer.
I took a look on the bills and was surprised to see that I’m paying 1.02€ per smc and 16€ quota fissa each month.

I obv went to the Argos store to clarify this, I took with me the copy of my contract that they gave me. Upon arriving there I was shocked to hear Monika saying to me that “2 pages were missing from my contact”.
With a very fake smile and kindness that made me wanna throw up, she even printed them for me to see that I basically had a whole different contract from the one i signed. To soften and flatter me a little more, she took out of her wardrobe 2 notebooks a calendar and another set of books, and gave them to me as a “gift”. maybe she already understood how furious i was and tried to prevent me from submitting a complaint (HAHA)
in addition to all of this, the site/up of argos is very unfriendly and i also had problems with the mistaken estimated consumption. they charged me every month for 130 smc, instead of 10!!! for comunicating the actual consumption, they expect me to **go** at the end of every month to the store in order to *show* a picture of the lettura.

I am still waiting for my refund btw, after 3 months of hell dealing with them, and with the general costumer service of argos.
Do yourself a favor, stay away from this company and warn your friends!

Good shop, don’t get delivery

Shops okay, just don’t order ANYTHING for delivery and installation. Was told delivery would be between 0830 & 1030 this morning. No delivery, No text received, No calls received. Called (Philippines) they weren’t helpful at all. There’s no complaints email. Went to store, manager agreed with me! Still NO idea when the oven will be delivered. Took the day off work to be in. Piss Poor Company! Avoid delivery if you can!

Very disappointing customer service

I ordered a coastal bath mat described as blue & white to match the towel range I have already. When it was delivered it was grey/green & white. I used live chat to try to find out if I'd been sent the wrong item in error or if it was wrongly described. Couldn't seem to get a straight answer but eventually I was told I must have been sent the wrong item and a return was arranged with another one delivered later the same day. This would have been great but unfortunately it was the same wrong colour again. The driver was very helpful and took both bath mats back.
Today I have had to chase up my refund and have been told it will take 30 days. Seems a long time to wait for my money to be refunded, especially when Argos are at fault.
Argos should check if the item is correctly advertised or why dispatch staff are making repeated mistakes.
Very disappointed and will think twice about buying from Argos in future.

Update, still waiting for my full refund, delivery charge was refunded but not the money taken for the returned item. Argos had the cheek to tell Trustpilot that my review must be about a different company.
No! Argos, take responsibility for your shoddy service and give me my refund.

Delivery was absolutely disgusting

Delivery was absolutely disgusting. Gave me a time slot 8.55-10.55am and did not show up, when I called which was a minefield just trying to get through to a person. They then said they had trouble with transportation so new delivery is up until 6pm. I would never have known this because no one got in touch with me. This has happened before so I am now deleting my account and no longer shopping there. It’s the total lack of communication that I am annoyed at. I was told it would be delivered by 6pm, yet sent an email saying they could not deliver today. Then told by their chat driver had come and no one had been in yet I was in all day and no one came. I also have a ring doorbell that would have recorded driver but there is no footage, the lies that have been told have been so unprofessional by a company I have used for nearly 40 years. Absolutely disgusted.
