Good shop, don’t get delivery
Shops okay, just don’t order ANYTHING for delivery and installation. Was told delivery would be between 0830 & 1030 this morning. No delivery, No text received, No calls received. Called (Philippines) they weren’t helpful at all. There’s no complaints email. Went to store, manager agreed with me! Still NO idea when the oven will be delivered. Took the day off work to be in. Piss Poor Company! Avoid delivery if you can!
Very disappointing customer service
I ordered a coastal bath mat described as blue & white to match the towel range I have already. When it was delivered it was grey/green & white. I used live chat to try to find out if I'd been sent the wrong item in error or if it was wrongly described. Couldn't seem to get a straight answer but eventually I was told I must have been sent the wrong item and a return was arranged with another one delivered later the same day. This would have been great but unfortunately it was the same wrong colour again. The driver was very helpful and took both bath mats back.
Today I have had to chase up my refund and have been told it will take 30 days. Seems a long time to wait for my money to be refunded, especially when Argos are at fault.
Argos should check if the item is correctly advertised or why dispatch staff are making repeated mistakes.
Very disappointed and will think twice about buying from Argos in future.
Update, still waiting for my full refund, delivery charge was refunded but not the money taken for the returned item. Argos had the cheek to tell Trustpilot that my review must be about a different company.
No! Argos, take responsibility for your shoddy service and give me my refund.
Delivery was absolutely disgusting
Delivery was absolutely disgusting. Gave me a time slot 8.55-10.55am and did not show up, when I called which was a minefield just trying to get through to a person. They then said they had trouble with transportation so new delivery is up until 6pm. I would never have known this because no one got in touch with me. This has happened before so I am now deleting my account and no longer shopping there. It’s the total lack of communication that I am annoyed at. I was told it would be delivered by 6pm, yet sent an email saying they could not deliver today. Then told by their chat driver had come and no one had been in yet I was in all day and no one came. I also have a ring doorbell that would have recorded driver but there is no footage, the lies that have been told have been so unprofessional by a company I have used for nearly 40 years. Absolutely disgusted.

Bad shop
Bought a product from Argos, they bought from the supplier , item was electoral faulty and told it was could be dangerous lose wire or something could get electrocuted . They wanted me to phone the manufacture and see if they could find out the problem on the phone . And I needed to turn item on and do certain thing . And maybe get a shock .
The item was 30 days old and some hours .

Bolletta della luce gonfiatissima per 'errore' in una 'stima' dei consumi
On July 2nd I received by email the electricity bills for two contracts that I have with the Italian energy supplier Argos. These monthly bills are paid by standing order from the bank usually five days later. The electricity consumption they charged me for June was over 50% in excess of the normal consumption in that month the previous year for one contract (432 KWh vs 270 KWh) and almost 9 times the amount on the other (730 KWh vs 84 KWh - I have photovoltaic panels, so 730 KWh is unheard of). This is easily verified as a graph of monthly consumption over the previous 11 months appears on every bill. Even more strangely, the consumption on this occasion was 'estimated' whereas measurement of electricity consumption is centralised and accurate readings are always available to the energy providers: readings are never 'estimated' for electricity. When I first tried to call the company (based in Padova) there was a huge queue and I could not wait for up to an hour or more, so I abandoned the attempt. I received two days later on July 4th a text message from Argos acknowledging that there had been 'an administrative error' and saying that they would be contacting me in the next few days about a 'solution' to the acknowledged mistake. This did not happen. I was never contacted again, and on July 7th the full sum of money baased on this 'error' was regardless deducted from my account - about €200 above what might reasonably be expected on the basis of past consumption. When I eventually managed to speak to a company representative on the phone today, she scoffed at the notion that the bills had been 'exorbitant', gave no explanation as to why I had not been contacted by the company as per their sms on 4th July, and suggested that I go to the bank to recover the money paid for these bills. For heaven's sake. If this had only been a one-off! On two previous occasions during the winter I received bills based on 'letture stimate' for the gas consumption, because either I had not communicated the gas meter reading, or I had done so but it had not been considered. Now, when I communicate the gas reading, it is usually a day or two before the end of the month, and regularly the company performs a check and adds a cubic metre or two based on a 'lettura reale' at the very end of the month. Yet in these cases of the absence of my gas meter readings, their readings were NOT based on any 'lettura reale' and were so over-estimated that I did not pay the gas bills for four or five months afterwards. Such experiences - and investigating them with company - are unpleasant, time-wasting and anxiety-creating for a customer and undermine all trust in the company. I will be changing provider. This kind of behaviour is just unacceptable, I feel like I have been scammed.

I ordered vacuum storage bags for double duvet. Read instructions but it was immediately apparent that bag seal was useless. Pinched edges together by hand using the seal along to retain them. Very difficult across where bag had been folded. In spite of my doubts I sucked out all the air.
Certainly looked impressive. 30 mins later bag has significantly expanded.

Fabulous service at Stafford branch
Went to Stafford branch to pick up a cool box my wife had ordered online. I was served by Gemma. What great customer service she provided.
When the cool box came I saw straight away we had made a mistake and ordered a product that was too big. Gemma then fetched another cool box they had in stock and when I saw it was the right size she sorted out all the paperwork straight away, without any fuss and with a smile on her face so I could take away the smaller cool box.
It just shows you can still get great customer service and I’ll be back to Argos for the next product we need.

Tried to purchase a kitchen appliance with delivery to a different address to the billing address. Not possible on their website and so went to a different supplier
Poor customer service!
I purchased a reflex watch in March, it was faulty, I took it back for a replacement, 3 months later it's not working. Took it back to Argos asking for a refund & was told that I could only have a repair or replacement. The sales assistant said it looked like I had knocked the screen, there was not even a scratch on the screen, so I have no clue what she was talking about.
I contacted customer service, who informed me that I could have a refund, but it was at the discretion of the staff in store to decide! Suggested I go to a different store and try to get a refund.
Totally unacceptable!
