With Audley Travel, you are not traveling alone. We recently finished a wonderful three-country South American tour custom-designed for us by Michael Waxman of Audley Travel It involved very complicated travel with multiple border crossings, including airlines, trains, automobiles, and even a motorized canoe. The only complication occurred when we were to enter Chile from Bolivia. We were at a very isolated location 15,000 feet in the Andes when our guide received notice that the border was closed due to a snowstorm. Somehow, Audley found two wonderful guides from Chile who drove 9 hours to an alternate crossing, got us through customs at an isolated location, and to our hotel safely. Our trip continued the next day on time and on schedule.

Just got back from Bali and was so pleased with our entire trip. Zach Vogel coordinated our trip and worked closely with me through every detail. Not only did he get all of the excursions well chosen for my 2 boys but he was also able to fill my needs and expectations for a very soulful, local feeling, non- touristy vibe I was really craving. Hotels were perfection as well. If you want to travel but not stress about all the details and just really enjoy yourself and be present in the moment, ask for Zach - A+ through and through!

Tamatha planned our Japan/South Korea trip from beginning to end, and it was AMAZING! It was everything we hoped it would be. We discovered many new places and things, and we learned so much about the culture of these countries. We will be booking with Audley again and asking specifically for Tamatha - highly recommended!

An incredibly well-designed itinerary in Japan, focused on our requests and interests. Our tour agent did an amazing job of leading us through all of the planning process and letting us know various options each step of the way. All the hotels/ryokans were wonderful as were tours and guides scheduled for us.
As to the country and people of Japan - nothing like it - a place of community, hospitality, kindness and calm (even though crowded and vibrant).

My husband and I had such a wonderful trip to Italy planned by Sarah! From the car services to the train, every form of transportation was seamless. Our 2 hotels we stayed in were the perfect fits. Sarah’s recommendations once I explained what I was hoping for were 100% accurate. It was like the 2 hotels were made for us! The 2 tours we did through Audley were so much fun. Our Colosseum and Roman Forum private tour was personalized just for us. The Capri boat tour was the most perfect full day excursion. We ate at 2 recommended restaurants and they were exactly as described. We cannot thank Sarah enough for her knowledge of Italy, her passion for travel and her expertise in planning the most perfect vacation!

I want to heavily recommend using Audley Travel. My step-father and I used their service for a trip to New Zealand and neither of us could commend this company enough. We were connected with a great women, Keila, who was so incredibly insightful and helpful in our planning. It was extremely comforting knowing that our trip was in the hands of someone so bright. Everything worked out perfectly for us. The trip ended up being my favorite trip of my life because of her help. My step-dad texted me a couple of days ago about the trip and he was so grateful. He was still in awe a week after we returned home. Anyways, I loved the trip that Audley gave us and all of the insights that helped us along the way.

This is our second time using Audley to help us navigate a wonderful vacation. Last year we enjoyed Canada, this year we tipped our toes into Europe, and headed to Ireland! Lydia was exceptional! We have two older girls and are an active family who loves to enjoy the outside and dine! She helped us balance both of those requests seamlessly. We kayaked by castles, walked the Cliffs of Moher, walked to waterfalls, biked through Dublin, and never stopped smiling at the beauty around us! Once we were ready to relax we had reservations for dinner and each place was unique and delicious! Thank you Lydia for helping to make our dream holiday a reality!

This is the second trip we have booked with Audley. Our last trip was to Italy and we were extremely pleased. This time around we worked with Michael Waxman to plan a visit to the National Parks and Monuments in Utah as well as the Grand Canyon. It was a perfectly planned trip from start to finish. We could not have done it without his insights in terms of sequencing, what to see and where to stay. He organized several outings with specialists that we would not have easily encountered and highlighted each park's famous features including the difficulty level for the various hikes. Audley provided us with great information about where to eat and met our requests regarding level of accommodations. The trip encompassed the perfect balance of physical activity, sightseeing and relaxation.

We felt safe the whole time in every place.



The guides were both knowledgeable and determined to provide the best experience possible as intuitive hosts. We felt the culture of service and compassion throughout our time traveling upriver from Cairo to Abu Simbel. I was personally blown away by the detailed explanations of the reliefs and descriptions of the countless artisan designed story panels and sculptures throughout the entire experience and fell in love with all the spirits and living people we encountered.

While in Giza, Abdel the Egyptologist and our driver Muhamed were absolutely amazing. I specifically enjoyed riding the streets of Cairo and being in awe of the intricacies of daily travel here. Pedestrian games of “Frogger” was the best approximation provided by one of our reps that played out for us on a real-life stage. The sheer depth of culture here astonishes all who traverse the limitless thresholds within the city streets, temples, and tombs alike.

Abdel’s depth of knowledge encompasses millennia of human culture and through him around each turn, all statues had a story to tell regardless of their inclusion in the official itinerary. It seemed that the magic would not cease no matter the length of time spent immersed amongst the friendly, courageous, strong, and resilient people.

Transitioning to Luxor was like a dream for me complete with jasmine flowers presented as gifts from my lovely new friend Aya whilst enjoying the Nile bank view of the valley of the kings, queens, and nobles. As someone who gifts flowers often everywhere, the gift of appreciation and love overwhelmed.

Our amazing guides Nermeen Milad and Abanoub in Luxor provided a rich experience and their awareness of our needs continued the great service we had come to know and love. I specifically enjoyed their joyful appreciation of my personality out of the many gifts bestowed.



The amazing Luxor portion of this adventure was a tough one to leave behind, but the transport by road to Aswan was possibly my most favorite part of the entire experience. I love to immerse myself in cultures and this 5-hour/several stop trip really allowed for the feeling you want as you witness the day-to-day activities of the locals for miles in various landscapes and population zones. It may seem funny or even silly, but I loved the 335 or so speed humps along that part of the trip as that afforded the true feeling of an archeologist adventure experience.



Arriving in Aswan, we were immediately greeted by our resort hotel Movenpick shining like a jewel on an island in the center of the Nile. The travel shifted to small boat only for the remaining few days to my amazement and surprise. The views during this leg of the journey were exquisite and overwhelming to a degree I had not felt previously. Our guide Nesreen really was a jewel herself and her rich knowledge and lifelong devotion to this area was immediately noticeable. Her heart and knowledge opened doors to some intense healing that I desperately needed and I felt immediately like family.



Leaving Aswan was almost impossible, but we were whisked away to a series of flights that allowed us to visit my favorite temple of the entire itinerary in Abu Simbel. Nefertari and her temple filled me with an overwhelming sense of love, honor, and respect that has lasted months and seems to grow with each day instead of diminishing.



Leaving again was painful as I fell in love while in Egypt with the river and culture. The experience left an indelible mark that will last my entire life and those with whom I share the stories and culminated in a reset of my entire system mind, body, spirit.

Audley Travel provided exceptional service for our first family vacation abroad! As our senior country specialist, Lily Cohen was very responsive, timely, and attentive every step of the way. We asked her to plan a family adventure to the capitals and countryside of England, Scotland, and Ireland. In addition to her suggested tours and excursions, we had several specific places we wanted to see, some of which were off the beaten path and less common requests. Lily thoughtfully and carefully planned our itinerary that was customized to our family's interests and needs. Tom Wilkinson at Audley acted as our personal travel agent for our safari to Tanzania and Kenya. He did a fabulous job and made our safari memorable beyond words. He made all the arrangements, including air transportation. He kept in constant contact with us via phone, email, and teams. He explained our safari in detail before departure and contacted us again afterwords to find out what could have been better. All in all this was one of the best travel experiences we have ever had.

We had a great trip. Tom Wilkinson did a fabulous job working with us planning our trip, preparing us for the experience, and answering all our questions. It was a fantastic experience!

The travel counselor put together what would have been a great trip to Indonesia had we been able to follow through. Alas, we had to cancel our plans, but I do want to note how she listened to our needs and put together what would have been a great trip.

This month my wife and I traveled to Peru, the north coast and Cusco. Audley Travel arranged guides, drivers, hotels, and national flights in Peru. Overall, our experience was outstanding. We greatly appreciated the planning assistance of Tyler Nilson-Goodwin and Ana Baratta da Costa, specialists in the area, who provided great information and guidance. The guides and drivers provided by Audley’s partner in Peru, Peru Travel, were generally good, but guide Mercedes Castillo and driver Leonardo on the north coast were exceptional. Mark of Peru Travel also provided outstanding support and assistance.

We had a wonderful 2 weeks exploring the Amazon rainforest, Cuzco and Machu Picchu, as well as the Galapagos Islands. Every guide we had was wonderful. The agency was very helpful all the way. Especially when my passport went missing. They had to find new flights and a hotel to get us to US Embassy in Lima. It worked out so well, we only missed 1 day of our vacation. I would recommend this company for travel to everyone.

Lily and her team in Ireland did a fantastic job preparing our trip to the Emerald Isle. Her attention to detail and being certain to include points of interest to us (especially in the areas of history and culture) were executed to the last detail. She arranged a special dinner in the Earl of Thomond Restaurant in Dromoland Castle, a behind the scenes tour of The Book of Kells and the Jameson Old Midleton Distillery to name just a few.

I highly recommend Audrey Travel for your next vacation. Definitely request that Lily arrange your trip if your travels take you to Ireland.
