The phone I order for my daughter was delivered really quick however the confirmation and payment for the old phone took a while. Was a bit complicated to contact anyone as information coming in regarding the transaction wasn’t clear.

I paid extra for a “new” battery when I bought my iPhone from BackMarket and it’s already trash after just one year. Down to 83% capacity even though I spent more money for something that was supposed to last. Total waste.

I bought a phone and a smart watch.
Smart watch I decided to send back after 1 day of use since the battery worked for 2 hours from fully charge. But wait I can just send it back and have my money back, right? no, the return label doesnt work.
oh and he phone? still hasnt arrived yet.
I already raised the issue but still no support so I have to leave this here. I will update this upon any advancements.

the new phone was fine, but the refund for my old one was a joke. they wanted to pay me €2 for a working iphone8 in good condition

Great.It exceeded my expectations

The IPhone 13 Mini which I bought has only been in use for one week. My experience so far is that every step of the transaction was exactly how Back Market described it would be.
Buying the IPhone was completely uncomplicated. It arrived within a few days, the packaging was fantastic and the phone looks like it was never used. So, thus far I am completely satisfied and am glad I picked and paid for a phone which was listed as
“Hervorragend”, because it really seems to be true!

I ordered an iPhone 14 Pro in condition “excellent” with standard battery. Delivery was super fast, I ordered on Friday and it could arrive already on Monday (I redirected it to nearest DHL branch).

But the packaging was really strange. The phone was moving inside the box, not fixed with any soft material, so it didn’t feel safe at all.

When I opened it, the phone really looked in good visual condition compared to other used ones I saw. The shiny edges had some signs of being in a case but no scratches, back side also fine. But the first weird thing – the screen was kind of sticking out of the frame. At first I thought there was a screen protector on it, but no.

After turning it on I checked the settings and noticed some strange things. Apple warranty showed expired in 1978 (!!), and service history was also weird: camera was replaced in 2023 (original part) and display replaced (used part) just a few weeks before my purchase. I guess it was done directly by Back Market service, but anyway it didn’t feel like “professional quality check” which they promise.

Also battery health showed 100%. Honestly this looks very suspicious, cause after 2 years it’s almost impossible that battery stays perfect 100%.

After using the phone more I found more problems:
-brightness was changing very uneven,
-display had strong green tint on dark colors (very visible in dark mode, low brightness),
-proximity sensor during calls was not working correct.

This is very disappointing for a phone in “excellent” condition.

The worst part – when I contacted support, they just ignored me.

So my opinion: even if you buy “excellent” condition on Back Market, you are not safe from cheap non-original parts, bad assembly and zero support. For such a big and popular marketplace this is very unserious. Be careful guys.

Black market support is really helpful and the overall service is great, some of the merchants are sketchy though.

I purchased an iPhone 13mini in February 2025, I paid for it to be in perfect state and I paid more for a new battery. When I recieved it, it would heat up easily, and it would shut down randomly but I couldn't send it back because I didn't have another phone on hand. Not even 4 months later it wouldn't turn back on. I lost everything. I sent the phone back, but they had HORRIBLE custumer service. They would respond once every 24-48 hours eventhough I told them it was urgent (I had to travel), it took much longer than backmarket tells you to get my phone back. They don't have a phone number for backmarket DE, and in the chat I was speaking to a robot that misunderstood my requests. Now, my phone heats up a lot more than before after only a few minutes, and still shuts down. I got scared it wasn't going to switch on again as it took over an hour on the charger. I contacted them 8 days ago and they have completely ignored my request. I would like a refund as this is unacceptable.
