I have had several orders from BW, and recieved my last one 2date. Aquatic & reptiles to name a few. I have been NOTHING BUT COMPLETELY SATISFIED WITH OUR BIZ. Sorry you guys had a bad, bad. But, IF, that review were to change. I'll let you know, but I really doudt it. JBE3

I've spent 2 months converting my old Sulcata enclosure(Frank The Tank is 8lbs now and lives in backyard) to a combo aquairium/vivarium Newt and guppy tank. Finally ready I went to purchase some fire belly newts. None to be found! Even the LA Reptile Supershow didn't have any. Half dozen online sellers had none for sale 🙁. Then I stumbled onto BackWaterReptiles.com they had just a few but made shopping and payment easy. Even sent me a link to care and feeding tips! Thank you Backwater Reptiles!

I ordered a pastel pied ball pythons directly through the website and my experience was great. Due to the cold weather and winter storms I was communicated the best course of action to ensure my ball python would arrive safely. The communication was fantastic and quick even though there was a 3 hour time difference. I received my ball python at a package center in the early morning the day after it shipped just as I was told ;they were healthy and beautiful and I am just beyond happy with my experience with this company .😁

Backwater Reptiles (the legitimate, original), has my vote of confidence and trust.

We bought our female goliath bird eater from Backwater.
She (and it's definitely a she, no falsity there), was extremely well packaged. The shipping company didn't handle her well (her box was even dented), but she was alive.
She started a molt along the journey....so she threw a few surprises initially, lol. She's adjusting very well, and has decided to continue her molt in her burrow.
I did take a magnifying glass to her as well...ZERO mites, no injuries, only the typical bald spot where urticating hairs were flung (and it's a tiny area).

Anyway...VERY HEALTHY SPIDER, at an incredible price.

So my wife got me a scorpion at a local reptile show. I liked it so much i went online to find another. I discovered backwater reptiles and placed an order for an emperor scorpion. As promised they sent me an email stating when to expect and as promised I received it the next day alive and healthy. I coudn't be happier with my experience with backwater reptiles. I definitely will be using them again for all my needs. Highly recommended

I ordered a white dumpy frogs from them and it died 11 hours and 5 mintues later. I had humidity and heat perfect. The shipping temperature was 42/43 and there terms said 40 or below they won't refund. THEY SEND SICK AND DYING ANIMALS AND DON'T CATE ABT ANYTHING BUT THE MONEY. THE THING THAT PISSES ME OFF IS HOW THERE TREATING THESE ANIMALS LIKE THERE JUST PROFIT.

In November, we received a lovely little corn snake from Backwater Reptiles. They were really good about communicating with us and working with our schedule to make sure we were home to receive her. Shipping a new pet is a nervous experience, but when she arrived, she was in great shape, warm, and appeared to be well taken care of. It has now been over a month since our snake arrived, and she is thriving in her new home. She is a perfect little starter snake.

Ordered feeder fruit flies from them and they were shipped very promptly. Arrived lively and healthy and my jumping spider feasted! I am very appreciative, as I was struggling to find food locally for my spider.

I ordered 2 whites tree frogs and got it quick and got it at an amazing price. Cheapest and most legit website I've came across. They even gave me an extra frog with my shipment! Much love I will be ordering again.

They did a great job shipping my Leopard Softshell turtle who is just gorgeous! They are experts in the care of reptiles and amphibians. They answered my questions, and I would definitely order from them again. Their website is an informative resource with specific care sheets for each animal.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! I had initially placed an order for a red bearded dragon and after the order was placed I asked them to how red their bearded dragons were. They told me they didn't have any blood red bearded dragons that they leaned more towards sunset beardies. Then after getting the lizard I emailed them again clearly upset that I did not get what I ordered when I got was a citrus blue bar hypo and not a red. This company is misrepresenting what they're selling and can't take accountability. I have the whole email thread to show people their level of BS. Had to give a 1 star in order to leave a review otherwise I wouldn't bother giving them that

Couldn’t possibly rave or recommend backwater reptiles enough. Fantastic company to work with. Communication is quick and very helpful, and they are very kind and easy to work with. My baby frogs were packaged exceptionally, and stayed warm through shipping even with the horrid weather due to their careful preparation for their journey. The species I ordered ended up being sold out and they went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied and that I got something that I would love. I’m very pleased, they have earned my business for life.

omg. its like having a bestfriend thats good to you but all ur other friends hate her. and you know why. and they not wrong , but she haven't crossed you and always had ur back. lol!!!
I love backwater. I had great experience with shipping and with the animal. got an bearded dragon, came in great condition. I have a couple family members who have ordered and that's where i got the recommendation from. and they also had wonderful experiences and beautiful animals. still living years later. prices were fair and after i ordered, i sent a thank you message and received a message from them the same day. i loved my experience with them and so did my family.

This is the second russian tortoise I've ordered from Back Water Reptiles. The first guy arrived a little lethargic. I was worried so I called BWR and they told me exactly what to do. He quickly perked up. I had him for over two years. BUT. I built this great outdoor pen for him and the little rascal tunneled his way out and disappeared. It was the poor quality of my construction, not the quality of the tortoise that was the problem. The new tortoise arrived yesterday (10/10/24) No problems with lethargy on this one. He started booking around his indoor pen as soon as I lifted him out of his shipping containing. BWR will always be my go to source for reptiles!!

I received a healthy, happy softshell turtle from them! It was an easy process with good customer service.
