I am very pleased with the chair as it does allow you to adjust the chair to suite your posture and provide the ultimate comfort to the back.
Though I am a short person and got the slightly smaller seat base, I feel my wide shoulders do not allow my elbows to sit on the arm rest. I feel the arm rest could have been a little wider by and inch or two.
I am experiencing some squeaky sounds when I lean back, applied some WD40 which help reduce it but not completely as I am not able to apply it to the affect point.
Overlooking the squeaky sound, it is overall a great chair for anyone with a back issue as another option I went for was the air pump to alter the back, and works very well.
Definitely would recommend this chair and hopefully will get rid off the squeaky noise in the next few weeks.

The ACT5 Orthopaedic Posture Chair is a comfortable and well built chair, which I adjust throughout the day to provide continued support. Working at the computer has become a more enjoyable experience.

Service was good & helpful, apart from not telling us that chair had to be packed securely before courier would take it. we were told not to pack it away. Unfurtunately chair was'nt suitable, not adjustable enough and bit hard.

Very happy with the office chair - prices are very competitive and the delivery service was fine (unlike some I could mention !!)

Ordered chair and it was delivered on the date promised.

The chair has so many features that it accommodates all the different things that are needed for better support. Seat pad adjustment is the key thing for me: being able to slide it forward to accommodate my long legs as well as tilt it to establish better posture. No longer experiencing neck and shoulder pains either.

I initially purchased this chair for a colleague who required an orthopaedic posture chair. So impressed with its comfort and build we have subsequently changed all of office to using these chairs. Well worth the extra investment over a standard office chair. It offers vastly improved comfort and is made to last years and years.

They were brilliant, phoned them up, described what I thought I needed, the guy asked me some questions and suggested an alternative chair which might be more suitable given my build and particular back problem. Took delivery on their "Try before you buy" option and bought it one week later. I use the chair most days for work so about 8 hours or so each day and it's really comfortable. Wish I had invested in this type of chair before I had back problems.

I guess it was worth waiting for. Despite giving plenty of notice for delivery, for which I was assured, was ample time, it arrived many days late after some chasing, but it is a good chair with all the adjustments needed. My only one negative was regarding the air cushioned seat, which was considerably more expensive. At first it almost seemed too hard and unforgiving to sit on. It does get better with time, but would not recommend going for this option. Save your money. It is supposed to help the base of the spine, which it may do, but it does leave you with a numb bum! The air cushions definitely need some adjustment to make them softer. It is far too hard to sit in all day.

I was lost trying to work out the right chair for the two of us but Stuart was so helpful and knowledgeable that it was a pleasure buying our new office chair (not the one I thought might do but a slightly lower priced one). I felt cdonfident I had made a good decision and used it when it arrived. I verified how useful and comfortable it is and my back is much better after only a few weeks. So thank you so much. It has made such a difference!

The ACT5 has several helpful additions which suit a multi-user reception environment. It is easy to use and all 3 of my receptionists have only positive things to say about it. They are very pleased and they have found that the superior lumbar support and tilt funcion keeps them comfortable in the seated position for much longer than before, which as their employer, makes me feel much happier about their working environment.

Not much more to say. When I had a question the MD phoned personally. The chair comes with VERY minor assemply. Four bits that can't be confused. Not cheap - but the product (an ACT 5 chair) is very impressive. My physio who has seen it and sat in it, has taken the details of Badbackchairs to pass on to her patients!
