Great communication from Tien as the store manager throughout the entire process (rebuilding of my bike due to a broken frame). Very good interaction with Ben (mechanic) - felt was provided with good advice. Ridden the newly built bike twice since and it is working very well .

Bike went in due to an ongoing issue. A problem with the motor was diagnosed, and the motor was replaced under warranty.

Incredibly helpful staff, especially Gavinb. He was very helpful, very patient with my beginner questions and very informative. I went in there a bit shy because I knew nothing, thanks to the helpful staff, now I have a bike I love. Best shopping experience in London, not just Bikes but in general. Thanks.

The chain I bought was £3-4 more expensive than a shop in the same road was selling it.

I bought some overshoes from Chiswick branch of Balfes. I couldn't get them over my cycling shoes so went to return them but was refused refund or credit even though I had the receipt because I didn't have the hanger they were on when I bought them. Very disappointing. I won't buy from them again.

What a great first impression! Warm welcome from such easy-going, knowledgeable guys! Genuine warmth, interest and an obvious passion for cycling. It counts for so much these days!

I stopped by Balfes Bikes in Chiswick again, because I was having trouble with my gears – they wouldn’t shift properly due to a corroded cable housing that was causing the cable to stick.

Fel took a look at it and fixed everything on the spot, which saved me a lot of time. Within a short while I was back on the road and the gears were working perfectly again.

Had a very good experience buying my electric bike at Balfe's, Chiswick. It was 55% off in the Christmas/New Year sales so it was a real bargain! Simon, Herbert, Govind and Mike were extremely helpful and are very knowledgable about bikes. They helped me set up the Electra bike, put on the basket and advised on a diamond standard lock. Highly recommend Balfe's!

Visited the Chiswick store to collect an online item and the staff were so friendly and welcoming even-though they were busy with morning deliveries.

A lovely section of beautiful bicycles in store and one was particularly tempting, fortunately for me, resistance was not futile and I managed to leave the albeit looking back and I might be back to test ride and fit?
