Helpfully service and advice.

Great service. Very upfront and honest about what was needed to service my bike. The staff were very knowledgeable, clearly know what they are doing and are happy to advise to try and save you money instead of spending, if they can.

Communication was excellent. Expectations set clearly as to what works would be required. Length of time in workshop was a couple of days so well within timeframe given. Friendly staff who knew their stuff.

Comms weren't great in terms of how long the replacement of a set of Shimano breaks would take, in the end it was 2 weeks. If I'd known that when i dropped the bike off I mayve gone to Evans (which is virtually next door) or Halfords.
Also when I got the bike back the tires were a bit deflated, now I know pumping the tyres up is not part of the replacement brake service but jeez that would've taken you 30 seconds and would've made me feel like they actually gave a sod about the bike and might've made me feel like I'd go back again. As it stands I'll seek out another repair shop next time.

Quite frankly I don’t know whether to laugh or cry about the experiences - the saga - I’ve had buying a new bike and accessories in your Kingston shop, it’s surreal how so ridiculous it has been, like a comedy sketch gone wrong, almost nothing has gone right and it’s still not over. And when it is I really really hope I’ll never have to go back again!

The staff immediately accommodated me to get a puncture repaired on the same day. No fuss, no issue. Excellent service.

Wes and the team at Balfes Kingston helped me out massively, on a Satursday afternoon not long off closing time. My commuter bike had gearing issues, which the team diagnosed, and replaced the gear cable immediately - helping me get on the road sooner. This team time and time again go above and beyond to rectify issues there and then, which is most valuable to me. Thank you dream team!

Excellent experience buying our new MTBs. We have been using Balfe's in Kingston for a few years for components and some bike servicing and have talked bikes with their very knowledgeable staff. This week we needed to buy new bikes and were so impressed with the knowledge the staff shared and the trouble they went to to ensure we found what suited us and our budget.

Can’t fault them. Prices were great, delivery was very fast and they kept me updated. What’s not to like.

Everything went well, except there were a number of bolts that were not tightened and the mudguard was not fixed properly. There was a missing bolt from the mudgard too

Great communication and sorted my broken chain issue as promised in minutes.

Would have got 5 stars but front wheel came loose on second day of riding new e-bike. Human error I guess as mechanic should have made sure wheels where secured prior to releasing bike

Amazing staff, really kindly helped me not only put cleatt pedals on but also fit the cleatts to my shoes. as a new cyclist i really appreciated having the help without judgement. very friendly service too :) thank you!!

Whole bike buying experience was great. Faaiz in the Kingston branch was so helpful when it came to choosing the right bike. Delivered this morning by Ian who spent time teaching my 9yr old son how to attach the pedals, tighten handlebars and general bike maintenance. Would recommend Balfes to everyone based on this purchase.
