Really helpful and knowledgeable staff. Great flexibility on the Cycle2Work scheme so I could get the right bike and not be limited by an absolute cutoff at £2k

Had an issue with my Brompton. Popped into the shop and the team stopped the job they were on and fixed it straight away. Offered to pay but they refused. Friendly. Helpful. “Great value!!!” Cyclists need to support these shops or we won’t have any left.

Great support from sales staff
I got great support from sales staff while I chose my new bike. Once I’m decided to buy Its at that very moment that I’m amenable to technical or sales product knowledge and Max was great at explaining the different models above and below my budget. He highlighted all the features and supported me with options and accessories. Good job.

Buying a bike that fits you.
Good constructive advice and guidance and very friendly service. I can ride my new bike for hours without getting the shoulder ache I was getting from my old bike. I thought my old bike frame might be too big for me now, but hadn't thought about the arm posture differece between straight and dropped handlebars. Now I know! Balfe's understand these things.

New Trek road bike for commuting
New Trek road bike for commuting. Great help and service in collection and setting up bike.
Too busy for proper service.
Balfe’s has previously been good with me. This time I booked my bike in for a full service on Wednesday so dropped it off first thing and explained all the issues that I’d like them to look at. By Saturday they hadn’t even looked at the bike, so after I made a fuss they said they wouldn’t do a full service but would fix one/two of the issues. £145 later and I picked it up with most of the issues still there. Thanks, but I won’t be coming back.
