Their cleaning and re-wax have caused the jacket to shrink. My jacket was winter size M and after the cleaning and re-wax it shrink to close to size S. Thus, I can’t use it as winter jacket anymor... See more

Order a jacket in the sale Saturday late afternoon
Delivered Sunday teatime.
Brilliant products which I love and great service
Cannot fault them
If I could give no stars I would
If I could give no stars I would. Barbour outlet at Cheshire oaks is not the place to do business with, a coat was bought for me as a christmas gift, it did not fit so was immediately folded and placed in the bag for return, just a larger size was needed, but some unforseen family problems meant my receipt was a couple of days over the time for return, I thought this would not be a problem on a quality item like this, I was wrong no compromise at all just a no refund no exchange, this really surprised and annoyed me, you would think they would look at the product and know that it had not been used or damaged in any way, use your discretion in future. My family have bought many coats from them, but will not be buying them in the future.
Good Product, Bad Delivery!
The dog quilt and fleece blanket I ordered is a good product and I would recommend. However, Evri delivered it in damaged packaging with the blanket exposed and stained. Customer Services acted promptly when contacted and a replacement was sent - by Evri! This did arrive satisfactorily but felt it was bit of a lottery as I’ve had bad experiences with Evri before. I would steer clear of any company who uses Evri as a delivery option.
Brought an Ashby 11 months ago
Brought an Ashby 11 months ago. Love it. Wear it everywhere. Unfortunately a stud came off when taking the hood accessory off. I thought I’d have to pay for a repair. I spoke to the team at Cannock MacArthur Glen and they said bring it in with proof of purchase and we will replace. Amazing service form a happy friendly team. Will always buy Barbour from now on
Amazing service from an amazing company
I had a problem with a coat I bought else wear so contacted Barbour direct to see what they thought.
Well the service I received was just amazing!
Quick to reply, they went above and beyond to help, the lady I spoke to was called Alisha and I can’t thank her enough.
Honestly I’ve not received customer service like this in a long time. Amazing company, and of course fabulous coats, great prices and always keep me super toasty. Thank you so much x
Excellent Customer Service
I bought a pair of short wellies a year ago which had split. I emailed customer services at Barbour. After providing the
receipt and proof of return for the split wellies, they sent me a new pair. Excellent customer service. Thankyöu
Shorty Barbour wellies…
I purchased a pair of shorty Barbour wellies. With very little use they started leaking. Unfortunately I had left it some time between purchasing and wearing the wellies, so they were not covered by the guarantee. Worn for about 2 months (very little use) before they leaked.
By chance, yesterday, when walking my dog, I came across a lady wearing similar Barbour wellies. She said hers were the 5th pair she had exchanged as the previous 4 all leaked.
The sole and the boot split, allowing water ingress.
Very poor quality at a high price point.
Such poor quality. No longer the brand of durable quality country clothing
I will no longer give my money to Barbour, it is a waste as their products are now not what they used to be.
My latest experience has been with a pair of Tempest Wellingtons. But that said my previous pair of Barbour wellingtons did not last and my wifes Barbour wellingtons cracked after only a couple of years use.
Barbour wellingtons are not cheap but they just do not last and my latest pair of boots, light use only, have just started to let in water. I see on Trustpilot that many people have experienced the same. Barbours response to raising this via customer services is that they are out of warranty and I've had my monies worth. They have not reviewed this site and seen how many problems there are with their boots, and it appears that they are not seeking to resolve the quality of their supplier or the materials used. At least there was nothing indicated to me that they were taking this issue at all seriously.
So after three pairs of dodgy wellingtons, a jumper that wore through the cuffs in a short time, and no longer lining the sleeves of waxed jackets unless you pay extra to install lining so as not to have sweaty arms - then I think I am done with wasting my money with Barbour.
There are many many many newer companies that supply far better quality clothing for outdoor activities that will do a far better job of it too.
Barbour is now solely a fashion brand for short lived items. Avoid unless that is all you want.
This is my second Barbour coat and it's…
This is my second Barbour coat and it's absolutely top notch. Ordered on the Saturday, delivered Monday and it's beautiful. Great quality and very stylish. Can't believe the negative reviews, my other Barbour I've had five years and it's as good as new!
disappointed
I’m really disappointed with my recent Barbour purchase. I ordered a coat in the sale and it has arrived looking surprisingly poor in quality. I’ve honestly had better-made coats from supermarkets. The coat itself is lovely and in line with what I’d expect from Barbour, but the hood is extremely disappointing — there are large gaps between the faux fur trim and the hood, which makes it look badly finished, as the item is still in the return period I explained I would be returning if this was deemed to be normal for the coat
I contacted customer services to ask whether this is a fault or part of the design. The advisor I spoke with was very friendly, but I’m disappointed with the outcome. I was told my feedback would be passed to the design team and, as an apology for the inconvenience, I would receive a 10% discount code. I wasn’t actually told that unfortunately, this code cannot be used on sale items — including the coat I purchased — which makes the gesture feel meaningless, given that the item was bought in the sale to begin with. I won’t be buying a full priced item due to affordability which is why I bought in the sale in the first place
Overall, I’m left feeling very let down by both the product quality and the resolution offered.
I have now placed an order for another coat in the sale which is more expensive in hope this one will be ok but I just feel Barbour should be giving a better service than this !
Poor customer service from Robin
Poor customer service from Robin.
In fact, I hesitate to call it customer service, more like customer brush off.
For a premium British brand I would expect stellar CS, but this left me with no taste for buying Barbour brand ever again tbh, very very disappointing.
Re-wax
Dropped my 20 year old jacket in to Guildford Barbour for re-wax - posted back to me in just over 2 weeks looking like a new jacket, bargain at £35. Excellent service and jacket now good for many more years!
I use to think barbour was great
I use to think barbour was great. How wrong was I. Terrible bottom of the pit organisation. Clothes overpriced and made of the cheapest material. Terrible reviews too.
Absolutely disgusting service
Absolutely disgusting service
Don’t understand why they keep customer service support: waiting for jacket almost a month soon, staff has no clue apart from giving empty and useless promises
Nice stuff BUT refunds take too long
Love your jackets - but the one I got in the Black Friday sale was massive!! Sent straight back & told refund will come once you’ve inspected it & this can take up to two weeks!!!!! Why?? Won’t be purchasing direct from yourselves again.
Leaked after only 18 months light use
Purchased a pair of Barbour Ladies Tempest wellingtons because Barbour is supposed to be a reliable brand. Within 18 months of very light use the left boot started leaking. Barbour refused to do anything to rectify this as the boots were only covered by a 12 month warranty. Incidentally, my husband had a similar problem with his Barbour wellingtons. We wouldn’t purchase Barbour wellingtons again because of our negative experiences of them
Puffer coats not recommended
My < 2 month old Begonia puffer already has loose “excess” (their wording) threads and is losing filling, which Barbour have deemed not a defect. To them it’s acceptable to just trim them off.
I think £200+ for a coat should get you better quality. Sadly the customer service department won’t budge on their policies, so I’ll have to buy thermals to make my puffer coat usable this winter.
On the other hand my 6 year old Beadale wax jacket is fantastic.
Arranged replacement for faulty wellies
Had a faulty pair of wellies and they replaced them, Francesca in customer services was very helpful. Thank you Barbour for being committed to customer satisfaction.
Purchased a Barbour cream sweater for…
Purchased a Barbour cream sweater for 99 euro. Wore it once and it went wooly and stretched. Very, very poor quality. I will not be purchasing Barbour again.
Re-wax and Cleaning negative experience
Their cleaning and re-wax have caused the jacket to shrink. My jacket was winter size M and after the cleaning and re-wax it shrink to close to size S. Thus, I can’t use it as winter jacket anymore as it doesn’t allow room for layering.
I’ve already canceled my winter purchases from Barbour and decided to purchase from alternative brands as I don’t feel the re- waxing and cleaning experience worth it anymore.
