Easy booking, great activities, great staff, happy child and great value for the whole week.

Thank you to everyone at Barracudas Waldegrave Twickenham for this Easter week. My son hadn’t been before, was one of the youngest, and we didn’t really know if he would like it. But we’ve been blown away by how much he’s enjoyed himself, and how he’s grown so much as a little person in these few days. He’s had such a great time and was even awarded ‘Minnow of the Week’! We’re really grateful to all the team (especially Jamie, Darcy and Minnow leader, Rosie!) for being so friendly and caring and putting on a packed programme of activities.

We’ll be back in the summer

My son comes home happy from camp daily and can’t wait to return the next holiday. They do different activities to keep the kids occupied and they have a wide range of staff.

The camps are great but the booking and app are so annoying - you can’t just use website or app, you need to access both for different things. Once your booking is in the app it’s impossible to find basic info like what time the camp starts/ends. I booked early and late add-ons but now can’t find anything about what times those extras are, just really annoying comms.

Today was the end of my daughter’s time at camp (Watford site) and she cried because she enjoyed it so much and didn’t want it to be her last day. A massive thank you to the blue shirts for always making my daughter laugh in the mornings when I drop her off, and to Jessica for being a fun group leader. We will definitely be back next year!

I recently enrolled my child in Barracudas Summer Camp, and I am genuinely impressed how fantastic it was.

Here are some of our insights:

Warm Welcome: On the first day before arrival, my child was a bit nervous (although normally a confident boy), but the team at Barracudas made sure he felt right at home and his nerves went away before I even left reception. The Milton Keynes Barracudas team has a friendly and inviting approach which helped my child quickly settle in and find his groove quickly.

Activity Variety: The camp offers an impressive range of activities. Children get to choose between two activities six times a day. I like this and haven’t seen it at other camps. This variety keeps them engaged, happy, and in control of their experience which is important.

MK Team Go Above and Beyond: For example with face painting, it’s not just your typical face painting. When my child wanted to be a t racer character - a race car driver, the team accommodated their imagination. They really get to know your child’s passions and I find my son is really happy that he can share this with the team. He loves his little chats with them all. It’s these little touches that make Barracudas stand out for me even though my son wanted to sleep in his face paints he loved it so much I was really pleased his imagination was extended and interests were accommodated. I have been truly impressed with all team members. Good energy, great with the children and understanding and helpful to parents too.

Role Play Areas: For younger kids, there are areas for role play, including doctors’ offices, math corners, healthy eating charts, Barracuda Agreements such as be kind etc and reading nooks. It’s a great way to encourage creativity and learning. I am not sure if it is the same for the older kids.

Security Measures: Barracudas takes safety seriously. Although the team recognises the parents and chats with you on arrival they still respect safety and that’s very reassuring. The QR codes for check-in and check-out are never waived and this provides peace of mind for parents and the time options and full days are very helpful too.

Happy Stories: My child came back from camp with a big smile and lots of exciting stories to share. He even asked his school friend to join him one day and he did. From Motorsports to WaterPlay and Bouncy Castles and Dance he did something different all the time. On a Friday your children even get to throw a sponge at a team member for charity. It’s optional but a great cause.

My only wish as a busy mum, is that Barracudas MK offered camps during half terms too and or longer summer camps. But I’m hopeful they’ll consider it in the future. Overall, Barracudas Milton Keynes Summer Camp is a winner, and I highly recommend it to other parents.

We have been to Baraccudas for few times now. My son absolutely likes the activities there and al the staff are very friendly and knowledgable. Highly recommended.

Barracudas in Barnet have been fantastic for my kids. They love that they have options for each activity choice so if they don't fancy doing one, there is always another option. The staff are professional and caring and we feel so happy leaving the kids with them.

Absolutely wonderful club & camp! My son has been attending the Maidenhead club at St. Piran's for over a year now. The staff, location, activities and overall Barracuda organisation is just brilliant! There hasn't been a single day where the little guy didn't walk in or out without a smile and a hop of joy. Terrific place for kids!

The team at Barracudas are excellent. This is one of the reasons why my child thoroughly enjoys going to the camps during the school holidays. The other reason is the range of diverse activities available for the children. Finally, the third is the swimming. Unfortunately at the Chislehurst camp, the pool has been "under maintenance" since the May 2024 half term. This isn't Barracudas fault, but come on Farringtons school, why is the pool still out of service for over six months!

Amazing camp , age appropriate for your child and excellent times for working parents. Staff always happy 😊 never a day when my little man was not happy !

My child went to the chigwell camp and throughly enjoyed it. I liked that he had a choice all throughout the day and the opening times were great.
Only downside is that they finish before the school holidays finish!

My daughter who has special needs attended their Woodford club for a week. Before booking I called and was assured that that they can cater for a special needs child and they have processes in places to deal with everything.

She was left with no support at all and was left with other children unattended. She was bullied and asked by other children to say and do things which were completely out of her character. She doesn’t even know the meaning of those words. On the last day, they told me that my daughter had been doing this, which I categorically said she didn’t know about these things.

It has been over 4 weeks, and we still have panic attacks about what she must have gone through.

We just had a meeting with her school headteacher and asked them if our daughter has used these kinds of words. They were shocked and exactly echoed our fears about her being bullied there.

If you have a special needs child, please stay away. They have no processes in place to cater to their needs. I will be taking this further.

Romford Barracudas was absolutely amazing this year! My daughter attended every day for the whole 4 weeks and she is still talking about what a great time she had (and singing songs from Mamma Mia!) We will definitely book again. Thank you everyone for making this summer so enjoyable 😀

We've been sending my son to holiday club with Barracudas in Horsham (both sites) for a year now, and he's always felt welcome and included even though when he started he was very young. We first booked to solve an emergency that arose, and he asked to go back immediately! He's a bit reluctant with other clubs (which are nearer where we live) but he's always asking when he can go to Barracudas again. Such a variety of activities and he finds it great fun.

My son has now attended the Easter and Summer camp at Hemel Hempstead school and on his very first day i was so anxious as my son doesn’t usually warm to these kinds of things. However at the end of his first day he said he has the best time. I cannot express how good the Hemel camp is, the staff are so good, reallly friendly and they run really good activities. My son feels well respected and looked after.

Signed up to the Chigwell camp, fantastic service, lots of activities so the children are never bored, lots of staff and attention to detail. Safety is taken seriously. Overall would definitely recommend!!

Canterbury Barracudas is great, there are lots of sporting and creative activities on offer along with opportunity to make new friends or connect with old .

We love it, all the team are friendly and super helpful, St Edmunds school is a
great location for it. I’d recommend it!

Barracudas Colchester is my daughter's favourite camp (she has attended a few others locally in the past two years), and I'm not surprised, the activities were exciting and varied, not run-of-the-mill at all ("Mum, I did motorsport!" - quad biking). I have also been really impressed with the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. Most notably, I was impressed with how quickly they put out a communication to reassure parents about their safeguarding procedures, and implemented extra staff training before the next day's session, after the horrific news from Southport.
