We were recommended to Barras Home improvements by friends who had a kitchen fitted, their kitchen looked great and the workmanship was second to none. John and I needed a new kitchen so we went to Barras.met John Gary and James, they were so helpful, we decided to have a new kitchen and cloakroom. The team that fitted the kitchen and cloakroom were excellent, and very tidy, and took into account our age. Needless to say we are delighted with the finish, thanks guys, and have no hesitation in recommending Barras to our friends. Thank you 😊

Having designed and fitted our main bathroom and downstairs shower room a couple of years back, when we needed a new kitchen we had no hesitation in going straight to Barras as we knew they would do a first class job.

We wanted an open plan kitchen/diner/family room, plus a new utility which included an extension to the existing kitchen.
As always, John and Jamie were extremely helpful in helping us get the design and layout just right (Jamie's 3D drawings at the design stage really help to visualise how the finished job will look), and Gary managed the entire project, including liaison with Building Control.
John and Gary also visited us regularly throughout the duration of the work to check on progress and make sure we were happy with how things were going.

All of the work was completed to a high standard - all of the guys are employed directly by Barras (plumbers, electricians, fitters, decorators etc) so you know who is going to be in your home, and they are all extremely pleasant and helpful as well as being good at what they do.
Finished job was exactly what we wanted and looks great.
Once again, really pleased with the job and would recommend Barras to anyone.

I have recently had a bathroom installed. The help with the planning was very good I received a personal service to tailor my needs and budget.
The installation was carried out by trusted installers that work within Barras Home Improvements. I was very impressed my property was left clean and tidy each day and I had total trust leaving them access to the key installer to my home when I was at work all day. I am really pleased with the quality of the work and the products selected. I was continually updated to the phases of the installation. I would not hesitate in giving my recommendation to use Barras Home Improvements . I would use them again without hesitation.

I can't recommend Barras home improvements enough, we had them lay Amtico everywhere downstairs in our new home. From start to finish they were amazing, in their showroom they took the time to talk through the laying process explaining the different options and the different type of flooring. They advised us on what was best for us and not was best for their pocket which I always think is a great sign. Having read such great reviews we chose Barras homes to start the work, and are so thrilled we did. The team arrived on the day as planned and did an amazing job, and to top it off were the nicest guys you could meet. Such hard workers, they were careful to spend the time making sure every inch of the floor was perfect before moving on to the next. The job took a little longer than planned as the floor wasn't as even as we hoped (it's a new build so would've thought it would be more level!) but they didn't rush, the finish was more important to them than the time taken. The progress reports throughout were great, we had 100% confidences in them. We chose them instead of going with the developers provider, and everyone on the development who has seen the floor is amazed at the quality of the work and wish they'd also gone with Barras! Thank you so much for such an amazing job.

We can't praise Barras highly enough! We are delighted with our superb new bathroom.

All of the team were extremely helpful from start to finish and went to endless time and trouble to find exactly what we wanted, which wasn't easy, given the size of our very small bathroom and our quite definite likes and dislikes. Tim the fitter's workmanship is absolutely perfect and the result is stunning....show-home quality.

We will definitely go back to Barras again for our next home improvement project.

Our experience with Barras was brilliant and we would definitely recommend them. The experience from start to finish was truly professional. James and John in the showroom were very courteous and helpful when giving advice and planning our kitchen. Andrew and his team did a superb job of fitting our kitchen and were trustworthy and reliable. They were always willing to answer questions and explain what they were doing. Gary, the project manager was excellent at keeping in contact regarding any changes that need to be made as the job progressed. We are over the moon with the work that they have done. A fantastic family company who are trustworthy and have integrity which is quite a rarity nowadays!

Barras have recently fitted our new kitchen and we are delighted with the result. The work was carried out professionally and efficiently. Barras also re-designed our fireplace and hearth and the results are amazing.

Without any shadow of a doubt we would recommend BHI.
We had our first kitchen from Barras 30 years ago which was superb.
We have now had a complete Bathroom reconstruction and yet again John and the team have have not disappointed us. Words cannot express the transformation I can only say in one word WOW!!!
The whole process was project managed by John and Gary. The workmanship by their fitter Tim was exceptional, methodical and precise.
Once the Bathroom was complete we asked John's advice on the kitchen which we had fitted in 2009 by a not such a reputable company as BHI (grave error of judgement on our part) yet again BHI have done a massive transformation we are now delighted to say. We would like to thank Steve their fitter for all his effort and his patience with our OCD.

From first contact, our ideas were listened to, suggestions were made but with no pressure to accept them. The team all took a real pride in their work. We are delighted with the finished kitchen.

We have employed Barras HI on a couple of occasions, mainly due to their honesty and their managing of our expectations regarding what needs to be done.
Their administration is speedy, dates and times adhered to, communication is speedy and efficient.

We had our kitchen completely renovated in December 2016 by Barras Home Improvements. James and Garry were amazingly patient during the design of our kitchen, ensuring not to rush us at any point and going back and forth with designs and showing us many different options until we were 100% happy. Once we were happy with the design, James ordered the kitchen which was delivered very quickly and the fitting date was booked. Our kitchen space was doubled in size due to a wall being knocked out and Barras were able to design for the space that was to be created, bringing two rooms together to make one bigger space. Steve came to fit our kitchen and I can honestly say that his work was impeccable and that his eye for detail was perfect. He continued to consult with me daily with regards to how different things were to go in the kitchen as he was fitting, and to see the kitchen taking shape over the time it took him was amazing. We are absolutely over the moon with our finished kitchen and can't recommend Barras enough.

The levels of customer service provided by Barras Home Improvements, especially James, are of an exemplary level. They offered fantastic design advice, guidance and patience whilst finalizing our kitchen and we couldn't be happier with the end result. Communication was excellent throughout the project, the product is of a very high standard and delivery deadlines were achieved. Overall a fantastic experience.

Having contacting BHI by recommendation, we engaged with BHI to replace our Kitchen and Utility, Replace our main En-Suite and to replace all downstairs flooring with Amtico. The end result, we could not be happier with. The teams are friendly, trustworthy and very conscientious. The standard of work and attention to detail, was excellent. Barras were very helpful with our design thoughts and ideas initially and provided in depth knowledge and great attention to detail at the start of the project.
This was followed by a professional and punctual team of fitters who all knew their business, and were helpful and friendly at all times.
One or two snags were overcome quickly and I would have no hesitation in recommended them to anyone.

We chose Barras Home Improvements to supply and fit our bedroom. I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone who is looking for this kind of service. They were extremely professional and listened to what we wanted. The fitters did an excellent job they were very courteous, prompt and very very clean.

The whole process of changing the bathroom, starting from the possibility of changing the existing bathroom, through planning and choosing everything and then the actual work being done, went through very smoothly. I was very impressed with the way Tim, Martin and Malcolm worked and the skills they have. I am very pleased with the new bathroom.
