Wrong sandals
Recently ordered a pair of sandals only to receive the wrong colour, contacted customer services who argued with me and said I had received the right pair, when they finally realised they had made a mistake, they said they would send me the sandals I had originally ordered only to be told that they were out of stock!

Your courier left my shoes with a neighbour who is never in so I have no idea what they are like. I need them for a Wedding so if I cannot get them I will have to order more shoes. I won't be paying for these shoes if that is the case.
I ordered these shoes, I expect them to be left with me or left over my securely padlocked garden fence. I won't be purchasing anything from Barratts Shoes again.

Cant believe how quick my sandals were delivered, ordered one day ,I got them the next day, The sandals are so comfy , I have to buy wide fitting shoes or sandals but they were great , I would buy from this company again.

Not great!
Ordered two pairs of the same shoes in different colours from Barrett's, one arrived 6 days later with only half a delivery note so couldn't see the instructions for returns as they were far too narrow, the other pair didn't arrive so had to call and find out where they were, apparently they hadn't even been shipped so i cancelled the order and was told I'd have to pay 'signed for delivery' for the other pair to be returned which costs over £5 which is a bit much. Wouldn't order through them again

Ordered white sandals and was very pleased with them.
Placed order on Tuesday last week and although I was advised I would be notified when they were dispatched I was not. On Friday I had to send an email requesting what was happening about delivery and after customer service intervened the sandals arrived on Monday. Not very happy about communication regarding delivery, but I was pleased with the sandals.

After placing my order on 9th June 2015 I didn't have too long to wait for my delivery, or so I thought.
Delivery was attempted on 11th June but I wasn't home to sign for it so it was taken back to the service depot in Aberystwyth (at least 1.5-2 hours away from my house). The delivery company, Yodel, left a card and I called them straight away and confirmed that the delivery could be attempted again on the Friday.
After waiting in all day on Friday, I checked Yodel's website to find that my parcel was tracked as having had a 2nd attempted delivery and card left around midday! There was no card and no attempted delivery!! It transpired that not all Yodel vans are signed and it just so happened that I'd seen a plain van sat at the top of my drive around lunch time. I don't understand why the driver didn't walk down the drive and knock on the door, yet there was time to update the tracking device with an "attempted delivery, card left" status! My car was also in the drive, so it was fairly obvious that someone was home.
I called again to find out what happened and to explain that I wasn't happy with the outright lie on the website. I was asked again if I would be home on the Saturday and that another delivery attempt would be made.
On Saturday, I had to call again just before 5pm, having waited in all day, to be told that I was 9th in the queue and that the driver had had some van trouble and had had to wait for the RAC to turn up. He also mentioned that the poor driver was supposed to be going out that evening. I'm sorry but I didn't have a lot of sympathy at this point because had I got my parcel on the Friday, there would have been 1 less to deliver on the Saturday.
I eventually got my shoes and am very happy with the product. But I think Barratts might need to review their delivery options because my experience of Yodel was very very poor.

I ordered a pair of shoes one Sunday evening,.and by the following Wednesday or Thursday, I tried to track my parcel, but was unable to. When I went to my account to check it's status, it said Fully Allocated. The money had been taken from my account for the shoes. so I thought i had better ring barratts customer care dept to try and find out what happened to it. I spoke to a agent, who said there was no sign of my order, which seemed strange as they had taken my money. he said he would pass it on, for someone to look at. It would have been nice to have been sent a courtesy e-mail to say that it had been reported, and the customer care dept would get back to me. I get a e-mail 2 days later, telling me that the shoes I wanted were sold out. Apologies, apologies etc. Then why was my money taken from my account if there wasn't any in stock, and my money will be refunded. A little bit shabby don't you think. I then get another e-mail a couple of days later with the Barratts sales blurb, and there were the shoes that I ordered supposedly in stock, Once bitten came to mind, so I gave them I wide berth. My trust in Barratts is not as it was. Shabby comes to mind!!!

Poor service
I order boots on a Friday afternoon and thinking 24 hr service it would be the following Wednesday at the latest. Well it took 7 days!!!!! I rang to check the whereabouts of my order to find that it had been lost in the system. Was told that this happens quite often. Explained I was going away and had ordered in plenty of time. They assured me I would have them by the Thursday. That didn't happen. The person with whom I spoke with was very unhelpful. They told me that I would have to pay for the return even if they didn't come in time. They arrived on the Friday but too late as I was already away on my trip. Will not recommend !!!!

I have not received my shoes yet so will be returning them as I had to but another pair for event that has already taken place. I am very disappointed and hope to get my postage returned in addition to the cost of the shoe!

Charge foe delivery AND return
Barratts no longer have high street stores so you can't try before you buy. Comtinental sizing shown is different to traditional sizing (e.g EU41 has traditionally been UK8 - Barratts equate it to UK7) As a UK based company should show in UK size to avoid misleading UK customers. ALSO charge for delivery AND returns so if customer has been misled by size/or just not suitable, you'll be wasting nearly £8 with nothing to show for it. Won't be using again - an expensive mistake.

Too narrow
These shoes were apparently standard fit, I am. Size 4.5 but I ordered a size 5 , they were extremely narrow, I queried this and apparently all Barrett shoes are this standard size fit, which means all their shoes are too narrow for me, by the way I don't have wide feet. I expected them to give me a free post return and refund my postage being as it was an item "not as described" but no, I had to foot the bill. So never again will I order or buy Barrett shoes, based on this experience.

Girls Paton shoes
I purchased these shoes because it's nearly end of school term and wasn't buying an expensive pair for 3 weeks, however you do get what you pay for. The shies are lovely, in a box and the delivery was perfect but they were light and cheaply made but I did only pay abut £11 after the offer.
My daughter had them on one day and the whole front part of the paton has come off!!!! She now just wears her trainers and I'll but a more appropriate pair when starting g back school.
I won't even return them coz its more hassle than it's worth but I wouldn't buy again.
