Where do I start, I needed a barrister for a final hearing who I could get without a Solictor, I managed to find 6, but 1 shone out, and it was Nadeem Aslam. Nothing and I mean nothing was too much. I can not put into words what Nadeem did for me. My first chat before I even agreed to represent me was 50mins and then my chat before my hearing was 3 hrs. Nadeem messaged me every day to check up on me before the hearing. I was unable to pay the full amount so Nadeem said just pay bits until 3 days before the hearing and I’ll still represent you. Going to court is hard enough but to find a barrister that not just they for the money but now I can call him my dear friend. The sad part is I didn’t get the result I wanted but that was my fault due to my evidence and Nadeem already warned me before we went into court this will happen. His experience and kindness was priceless. Afterwards he messaged me see if I was ok and also has offered to help me go back to court and get the result I want but not on my own this time. My mum n dad was they he also reassured them that everything was going be ok and explained everything for us.
I can not thank Nadeem enough and I have already recommended him to my friend who needs him for a 3 day trail.please if you need a barrister I mean this don’t look anywhere else apart from Nadeem Aslam, u r not on your own and he will be they every step of the way with you.

I’m writing to share my extremely disappointing experience with direct access barristers, in the hope of cautioning others who may be considering this route for legal representation.

Over the past three years, I engaged three different barristers for tenants' eviction proceedings, each time investing significant sums of money, only to be met with frustration, poor service, and unprofessional conduct.

Unjustified Cancellation: The first barrister took over £2,000 for a one-day trial. However, the hearing was cancelled by the Court just days before, leaving me with no recourse for a refund despite the fact that no conference or skeleton argument had been prepared. This was a frustrating and costly experience.

Inadequate Preparation: The second barrister, for whom I paid over £2,500, did not hold our conference until 11:00 PM the night before the trial. The meeting lasted only 15 minutes, and despite this late preparation, the barrister came to court unprepared, without a skeleton argument, and appeared disengaged and unprofessional throughout the proceedings.

Unethical Demands: The third barrister, who I paid over £2,500 upfront, called me just an hour before the trial demanding an additional £900 to represent me. Despite explaining that I didn’t have immediate access to my banking details, the barrister insisted that I pay before he would attend. This left me in a difficult position, forcing me to call my son to make the payment. He arrived at court unprepared, and I was left having to write the questions myself.

In my experience, direct access barristers seem more focused on quick, easy money than on providing the quality of service that clients deserve. The lack of professionalism, unexpected fee demands, and poor preparation are concerning, and I would strongly advise potential clients to think twice before going down this route.

The company is OK, but not great. They did help me find someone at short notice. However I don't think the representation was the best and neither is the client care. I would not recommend using them again. In hindsight, I wish I had found a way to delay the trial so that I could have found someone better from a different chambers. The fees are very high too.

I have used Clerksroom many times before and they have been very helpful and respond quickly. The best barrister I have used definitely has to be Stephanie Heijdra! Stephanie represented me for a two day final hearing, and was absolutely fantastic. She is extremely knowledgeable and good at thinking on her feet. We had a tricky case but she managed to settle the main issues before we even spoke to the Judge. She is professional and articulate, and knows how to fight for her clients. I am extremely grateful to her and would highly recommend her to anybody looking for an exceptional barrister.

This mob have designed their their Trustpilot presence to give a false high rating of barrister honesty and integrity. Anyone can see on the Trustpilot Legal Ombudsman site what the truth actually is.
They use a Trustpilot condition, reasonably intended to protect individual employees of an organisation from unwarranted criticism.
These barristers are all individually and actually self employed so by giving them an umbrella like Clerksroom any bad reviews which may identify the baddies can be removed by a complaint and so it is.
It can be seen how these reviews, if they are genuine, are ridiculously praising of these saintly idols of
integrity.
Any bad review is removed within days or even hours by the girlies in the office with a selected one or two mildly critical reviews left in place for credibility.
I do not really know how it is possible to find a good barrister but this is not the place.

My experience with Blobby was unlike the service which which most users of Clerksroom seem to receive. I was desperate for a barrister as I had been running my own case for 4 years including a successful lifting of a debarment order against me. I really needed a barrister to fight my claim. Unfortunately I was being rushed and having been offered an elder and experienced barrister did not investigate too deeply. Big mistake. He had not read the case at all, he asked no questions of myself except if I had signed something. He did not ask any questions of defence witnesses. He had 'conferred' against my instructions with the defence barrister and just whistled through a 2 day trial in a few hours then ran off with all the money. It was like a scene from Monty Python. I had wasted all my savings (£7,000) never to be seen again. I complained to him by Email and he pompously wrote that he didn't act on my instructions but only in my best interests, whatever he decided they were. Had I investigated earlier including in Trustpilot I would have seen that my experience with this particular individual was rather typical of him and his type. The Bruce and Sheila scam was his nadir which almost bankrupted the organisation which he supposedly worked for. A disgrace to his profession. Avoid. avoid.
