Edited to add that Beachbody wants more details. What else is there to say? They force you to do an auto renew and fail to send a reminder. They lie and say they sent a reminder and refuse to let you speak to a manager. Go to the Better Business Bureau website and see all the complaints for the same thing. Just stay away unless you want to hate your life.
The only option to join is automatic renewal. They never sent me an email to notify me my renewal was coming up. I only noticed today after 35 days that my credit card was charged. I called immediately to cancel and was told I would not receive a refund because I failed to cancel before the renewal. Who remembers their renewal dates?!!! It’s deceptive not to notify someone. They lied and said they sent an email but it is no where to be found. They refused to refund me and said I couldn’t speak to a supervisor. Who does business this way? I had no idea they were MLM or I would have never done business with them. This is sooo MLM type tactics.

Absolutely impossible to contact this company from the UK. No email notice to say my subscription would be renewed so they have taken money out of my account. Even though I have cancelled it online and within the 30 day money back guarantee i haven't been refunded and I cant contact them from the UK to request this refund.

I've had a beachbody membership for a while, back when I ordered the T25 dvd set. They increased the price of membership from 100 to 120 last year, which is fine and fairly reasonable considering all things have moved to a virtual setting since the pandemic. This year they "upgraded" my membership for BODi which included another $60 increase. I only used Beachbody for the workouts. I have a therapist and eat healthy on my own so being charged an extra $60 for things I do not use is ridiculous. I should be able to customize my subscription and not have to pay for things I don't want. I was told by customer service that so many customers are happy with the changes...clearly that is not the case given how many people are complaining about the same things. Our only options are this outrageous price as the "basic" option or pay even more? Meanwhile they've got coaches making millions of dollars. I'll be cancelling my subscription as well.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!
I wish I could give them zero stars. One star is too good for them. In 2022, I registered for an annual subscription of £115. However, upon logging into my account, I discovered that my subscription was not working. I reached out to the company via phone, but they claimed that I did not have a subscription and could not locate my account, which was why I was unable to access the service. They requested proof of payment via email, and I provided evidence from my bank showing that they had withdrawn money from my account for the annual subscription. Despite this, they continued to assert that my subscription could not be found. They mentioned that their corporate team would contact me, but I never received any communication from them. Despite sending them multiple emails, I did not receive a response. In the end, I paid £115 for a subscription that I NEVER used, resulting in a complete waste of money.
Fast forward to August 10th, 2023, and they have once again deducted an annual subscription fee . This time to the amount of £179 from my account. This is the same company that originally claimed I did not have a subscription. How did they acquire my bank details to withdraw money from my account if I am not registered with them? They automatically renewed last year's subscription (which I never used) - the same subscription they previously stated I did not have. How is it possible to automatically renew a non-existent subscription? Furthermore, they failed to send any notification email regarding the subscription. There was no contact whatsoever. I know they have my email address because they previously sent me a frivolous email informing me that my coach had changed. So they can send me silly email but can’t refund my £115? It is important to note that I have never used their service as they claim I did not have a subscription. I paid £115 for something I never used and based on my experience, I never will use them again. I would strongly discourage anyone from using their services.
I have filed a dispute with my bank, and they have blocked any further payments from this company.
The nasty trick that this company plays is that they deduct the subscription fee without providing any email confirmation or receipt for the transaction. When it is brought to their attention that a payment has been made for a subscription, they request a confirmation email or receipt that they claim they would have sent that clearly show the payment was made. How can I provide something they have never sent? The only proof available is the bank statement, which clearly indicated that they withdrew the money from my account. What further evidence does this company require? They are truly awful! They should feel ashamed of themselves! PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. THEY BRING NOTHING BUT TROUBLE AND A LOSS OF YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY!!
Update 28/08/2023: The bank refunded my money less than a week after I wrote this review. They agreed that the money taken by the company was unauthorised. They have said they will try to recover the funds from the company.
I have also just read the deliberately obtuse response from this company taking zero accountability for their actions and saying a whole bunch of nothing. They claim they’re unable to locate my account? Yet they’re obviously able to locate my bank details!! Judging by my bank refunding me for this unauthorised transaction they also seem to think so. After all there is clear evidence that Bodi took money from my account through an unauthorised subscription.
Bodi please let the readers know that I paid for a subscription (£115) that you claimed I didn’t. This is the same subscription (£179) that you renewed this year without my permission. Yet you’re still unable to locate my account. Thankfully I have received a refund from my bank for the £179 as they agree with my version of events. But I still lost out on £115 from last year as I wasted time trying to contact this company so the period where I could claim a refund from the bank has now expired and this company will never refund me as they continue to claim they’re unable to locate my account!!
STAY AWAY FROM THIS UNTRUSTWORTHY COMPANY!!

They changed their product without notice and instead of being billing monthly $11.99 they unscrupulously charged my account a full yearly price of $179 up front for a new product and yearly subscription which I did not want. It was not until I checked my statement that I realized the product had changed and the cost incurred. Once I called them about the issue they stated that I was outside of the 30 day cancellation period. Its a product that I did not use except for a logon occasion to check food tips etc. So I was I supposed to know they changed it? Email? Well, due to all of their constant emails (literally had over 200 emails) from them within a 4 month period. Daily and constant advertising for me to buy more products I eventually ignored their emails and labeled as spam. They could clearly see I did not use the product and was unaware of the chance in product I had not logged in for months. As a customer you would never expect a company to change their product and unethically charge an up front full price just because they have your financial information on file. As far as I am concerned this is theft! Once I called to let them know I was unaware of the product change and charge they should have refunded my money right away! Instead they play the game of "gotcha" and try to defend their actions by saying they offered a 30 day cancellation period. Well how am I to cancel if I did not even know of the change in the first place and did not use it? I have been back and forth with them and my financial institution since April and its now August and I will not stop until I receive my refund.
UPDATE TO BBody Reply:
Email that was sent contained ZERO information in the subject line about changing in pricing. Beach Body sent me some 200+ emails for promotions and other products. I'm not going through each of those and never opened all the spam. All that was stated in the email you refer to as meeting requirements was "You're about to save even more with our new upgrades". It took some time to even find that. With busy lives and constant spamming by BBody how is anyone to know of this change by that subject line? An ethical company would have made it clear and conspicuous about a charge changing the product and charging up front a higher price than you paid prior. Upon opening the email it's a lengthy sell job on how great the change is and in small print at the very bottom about the new charge. Regardless it's obvious I never knew about the change and did not use the product. I certainly NEVER agreed to be charged MORE upfront when I previously paid monthly. My review stands and your reply is unsatisfactory.

While I liked the videos, when I used them regularly it didn't help me lose any weight, even though I was also eating healthier. When I decided to cancel my membership, 60 days into the new/renewal year, I was told I couldn't get a refund outside the 30 day time frame, but that i would have access for the next 10 months. They essentially cancel the membership at the end the term so they can still collect the full annual membership.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I signed up to BODI unaware it was the same people as beachbody and had nothing but problems since. After I signed up to 14 day free trial it took £1.01 from my account for verification only to be faced with the message that my account is LOCKED!!! Nobody will even reply to my messages. if my account is locked how can I even cancel so I'm not charged??? no point having an account where NOTHING works!!! if you can't let me in, why charge me? or not state I already have an account? not that password reminder or anything else works on their site/app...just pointless and nothing but stress...REMOVE ME!!! if I'm charged I'll be taking further action. ridiculous company

This company is a MLM nightmare. They sign you up easily enough and start taking your money.
Once you decide you want to cancel they have so many hoops to jump through and constantly try to redirect you away from it that it is very difficult to stop.
Even their contact page asks you 19 questions before offering you a callback or a phone number to call.
Avoid these guys. Deceptive business practices and borderline fraud.

I reviewed Beachbody (BODi) before and gave them three stars back in August of 2022 but I'm reducing my stars again after issues have continued to occur. They increased prices and combined their Beachbody on demand service with their Bodi programming which no longer features live workouts. They then raised the annual price from $99 to $179. My previous review stated my unhappiness with the Bodi platform and yet I'm going to be charged for it even if I don't want it? Their apps are horrible and they still have no easy way to stream workouts to TVs since they don't have apps available on consoles or other devices. I'll be switching to youtube for workouts. I'm fed up with this company not offering customers what they want and providing substandard results.

Reply from The Beachbody Company
I love all of the workouts and I am prepared to pay the £179 for the annual subscription but oh my days, the website is impossible to use to find the basic subscriptions. I do not want any of the supplements, I just want to do the likes of insanity etc and the workouts with the bodcast. This company is going to go bust in no time, how can you expect to get any brand new members when the website is so confusing. If it wasn’t for shaun t, Amoila and Megan Davies I would be goneeeeeee! You need to sort out your marketing asap. Just a money making scheme now that pretends that it cares about its members. Are you also forgetting we are in a cost of living crisis… I’m going to look elsewhere unless I receive a decent response in the next few days
Edit- after sitting for an hour I finally worked out how to do it. But my comments about the marketing still stand. The website needs working on asap. If I was a brand new customer I would just give up and look elsewhere. Changed my rating from a 1 to a 3 because I do genuinely love the app and hate going to the gym

I have been using this to work out at home for years, and several of the programs I love. This year, not only has there been a sudden drastic increase in price, but I am continually losing trust in the brand and what they deem appropriate for wide audiences. I use this company for exercise because I have CHILDREN AT HOME. When they promise a dumbbell workout, and suddenly the coach is twerking inappropriately on his knees while I have children in the room, I seriously hesitate to allow their content to continue to enter my living room. I will look for a more wholesome, affordable workout subscription that is trustworthy for moms.

Im a doctor. In 2020 I had subscribed. In November 2020 I phone (with difficulty) to cancel. Never tought they would start again to bill me. With out me noticing, they took in 2021: 136,82 2022: 136,82 and 2023: 247,20$. Adding to the shame of not me checking carefully my things. In my défense for not noticing my 5 and 3 years children’s have been murder and I do automatic paying of my ViSA and usually I go on vacation exactly at the moment they charge me for 6 weeks. Anyway, i Phone again, and that’s like more difficult to reach the pope. They say I only cancel the shake when I know it’s not true because i clearly remember how mad i was when I finally reach someone. This is a very bad way of doing business. NEVER again. I take this time to advise EVERYONE DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPAGNY. A compagny that does not give you service after purchase or makes it so hard to cancel is the only proof you have to know. It’s not a good way of considering your client nonobstant of the rest.

This app stinks! I like the program material before BODi but since they switched I cannot Airdrop my mobile phone to my TV screen and the work outs don’t auto record on my Apple Watch.

Their automated system took 178 from my account without warning. It took from a credit card i didnt use which meant i also didnt know until a statement was given which was after the 30 days for a refund.
Their website isnt easy to get hold of someone and being in the UK their call back system said my number didnt exist and calling the states costs a fortune. Their isnt an email address and it made it very difficult to communicate. I noticed they do respond to reviews on trust pilot and therefore my previous review was 1 star on the amount taken and being unable to get hold of anyone.
It took around 2 days for the review to be responded to which is an average for online communication for any company and a refund has been processed.
I have changed my review from 1 star to 3 stars as they have resolved my issue quickly however the issue shouldnt have happened and their site really needs better communication on their auto renewal and a more affective way to be able to reach them other than phone - due to being in a different country.
Overall my opinion in the company has improved from the service now received however if i was to use them again i would be more vigilant.

I thought I had cancelled everything with this company around 11 months ago - had absolutely no communication with the company since - no emails etc etc. Received my credit card statement through in post middle of May to see I had been charged a £179 subscription - I have no idea what this subscription is for. I contacted person I joined under and they told me to contact company. Spent about a week trying to ring various telephone numbers that the company has on sites/web none of which worked - including number provided against payment on my credit card statement -eventually contacted the person who signed me up who gave me a different number. I then tried this various times with no luck - apparently UK Line is only open from 2pm but no one tells you this. I eventually got speaking to someone who told me I was 1 day outside my 30 day money back so nothing could be done. I filled out a dispute claim form and got a similar response. Absolute disgrace - little point in having a 30 day money back policy if you fail to notify the customer that their policy has been renewed. If they provided a correct telephone number I would have been within 30 days. I have actually no idea what I have paid for - I received absolutely nothing to say what I have paid £179 for. I have contacted my credit card company and Trading Standards to report - everyone needs to exercise extreme caution if giving any details to this company

I tried to cancel my membership & was told no because I didn’t do it within the time limit. I told them I’ve been caring for my husband who has stage four cancer and I’ve been so busy with him that I guess i honestly lost track. I have a lot on my plate and was hoping for some understanding. But,no they don’t care. This is not the type of company to do business with.

This company uses deception to trick you into monthly payments. I thought I only paid for an annual package but was then charged for additional live training each month. They refuse to refund three months of this. I had to cancel my payment card. SCAM!

Fake trial. Said I wouldn't be charged but when I try to process it says card declined. Fake ass company promoting fake ass trials. Hate companies like this 🙄
