Good product range and helpful staff
We bought our new fridge freezer from Beacon Electrical. They had the one we wanted, made our purchase really easy with delivery at a convenient time, all for a good price. The staff have good product knowledge, are polite and helpful and took great care on delivery. Couldn’t ask for more from our local electrical shop.

I would have given zero star if I could.
I ordered a washer dryer which stated in stock and was booked for delivery. I get a text the day before the item is meant to be delivered to say no stock I am now without a washing machine and have a 6 month old. When I called Beacon they didnt seemed bothered and just blamed their supplier and it isn't their fault. Now I have to wait for their supplier to cancel the order before refunding me so will have to wait longer for my refund.
When it says they have items in stock they don’t they contact their suppliers after taking your money to see if they can source them. NOT HAPPY. Do not trust them !!!!!

I ordered a tumble dryer which stated “in stock” They allied and said it wasn’t even in stock when I ordered and that they shouldn’t have said it was. It’s over 4 weeks before Candy are hoping to have stock. Now I have to wait 7 working days for a refund. When it says they have items in stock they don’t they contact their suppliers after taking your money to see if they can source them. NOT HAPPY. Do not trust them !!!!!

Great prices and keen staff
We needed a new washing machine and our dishwasher was on the way out - we bought them from Beacon 16 years ago! Beacon promises a price match, even with big online sites, and also offers a package deal if you buy three items. We added a Ninja Foodi Max and got a great price on the package. We aslo got a five year warranty on the washing machine.
We opted for their services of removing the old machines and the packaging from the new ones and installing the washing machine and dishwasher. The service on the phone was excellent throughout - no waiting in a queue! - and on the day some very pleasant staff fitted the machines efficiently and tidily.
We got the best possible experience and feel reassured that we have a local shop as a backup. If you live in Beacon's area, check them out.
Bait and Switch
Beacon Electrical advertised a price online. I ordered a significant quantity of fans and ordered a couple extra to get the free shipping as advertised for orders over £150.00. I get a call the next day that unless I pay a shipping charge for each individual fan, which was advertised as free, they would cancel the order. Upon reading google reviews, this seems to have happened to a lot of people (bait and switch).

Very poor service
I purchased an extraction hood from this company. However, the product was highly unsatisfactory. It failed to extract the majority of the fumes it was meant to. Due to a whole flat renovation, it was not installed for a month. As soon as it was installed, I realised it was not fit for purpose. I contacted Beacon after the first use as I immediately noticed the issue. They told me not to ring back as they would contact Hotpoint and get back to me. A month later, I rang back after no contact from them. They insisted that someone should have rang back and I shouldn’t worry as they would definitely sort it this time. They arranged for Hotpoint to attend. The Hotpoint expert said that although the item was working to specification, the product was not fit for purpose. His report only reflected the fact that the product was working according to specifications. No mention of the design fault. After more discussion with Beacon, the issue was escalated to involve a senior expert at Hotpoint. By now Beacon we’re not fulfilling their promise that they would be pro active and return my calls. As a teacher, I could not be available in daytime/ weekday hours. Despite this, we manage to arrange a further visit over Easter. Unbelievably, they sent the same guy to review the appliance. He confirmed his previous assessment that the product was not fit for purpose. I rang Beacon back to explain what happened. Given that we had already established that the times I could be available were rarities, I was furious they had wasted this opportunity. Hotpoint offered a time that I would not be available for the rearranged visit.. Beacon assured me they would negotiate a convenient time. Once again I was promised a call back. I rang a few times and my calls were not returned. On the date the offered slot was allocated, I happened to be off work with a foot issue. However, despite the online update suggesting the expert was on his way, they never arrived. When I rang Hotpoint, they told me that Beacon had cancelled it! I never heard back from them and they did not return my calls. Absolutely shocking service.

Product fine installation service awful…
Product fine installation service awful . Now left with a kitchen door that won't fit the new washer as at no time during the sales process where we asked . Now have to incur more cost in getting it fixed beacon don't want to know once they have your cash . Terrible service .

Excellent customer service
Excellent customer service. I purchased a washer dryer August 2022. March 2023 the machine no longer worked. I emailed Beacon electrical on a Sunday. First thing Monday morning Beacon Electrical phoned me and arranged for an engineer to come the next day. Absolutely fantastic service.

Great customer service. Product I wanted was in another branch. They made sure the item was brought down on the same day ready to collect. Great service.
Misleading
Says free delivery over £150 on homepage. Final page at checkout they add another £10. Only free delivery if you're local to them. Sly tactics, should state that to begin with.

Absolute waste of time
Absolute waste of time, wouldn’t bother.
Says in stock and then ring you next day to say they have to have it delivered in, which is meant to be 14 days but then tell me could be looking at 23 days. Indecisive.
