Very impressed with customer service

I’m really impressed with Beaming Baby’s customer service. I had a small issue with some nappy bags and, instead of simply sending a few replacements, they went above and beyond and sent me an entire box of rolls. Great service!

The voucher given to us at the registry…

The voucher given to us at the registry office states £150 for your baby.
The QR code sends you to a page that does not offer the terms of the discount until it captures your e-mail.
It is purposefully deceitful by remaining ambiguous until it has your info
Then its a bunch of small discounts and deals that collectively may come up to £150, but it counts random things like a discount code for hello fresh, this is about as useful as an affiliate code listicle designed to prey on new mums and dads.
Shameful, and shame on my council for promoting this.

Absolutely appalling lack of customer…

Absolutely appalling lack of customer service. No reachable staff on phone numbers and no help sorting out lack of delivery of nappies. Nappies themselves are good but they have failed to deliver or even send out my order for 8 days and left me without nappies for 5 days. No replies to emails and numbers are never answering or refer you straight back to the email on site. seriously rubbish admin. They have set up a subscription form a one off order and also not sent my follow up order but set it for a month in advance. Said they were sending my order on friday but still zero sign of shipping or delivery day. go elsewhere. UPDATE ... I finally got a reply, apology and nappies are being sent express so it is possible to get a response and some appropriate action eventually.

Caution if you receive a “voucher”

I’d advise caution if you receive a “free £20 voucher” included in a pack from the NHS or a registry office.

You’re asked to pay £2 for shipping, but instead of receiving a true £20 voucher, you’re given a link offering £20 off product bundles that start at £40. In reality, this means you still need to spend significantly more to benefit.

This could have been communicated transparently by simply providing the link upfront. Instead, the small upfront payment feels like a way to nudge people into spending more than they initially intended.

It comes across as a form of pressure selling, using a low initial cost to encourage higher spending later.

For parents who are already buying affordable essentials like nappies and wipes from supermarkets such as Aldi, this offer is unlikely to provide real value.

Overall, it feels like misleading marketing, and it’s disappointing to see this kind of material included in what appears to be official or trusted paperwork.

Not leak proof!

Ordered some as I got a voucher in my baby box. They feel like good quality and very absorbent however, if your baby has a big poo or it's even remotely runny it will leak!! Every poo so far has leaked, and not just a little bit! Definitely not worth it for the price.

Major supply issues

Major supply issues. I’ve experienced at least 3 occasions in the past 3 months when the size I need is out of stock.
They also seem to have removed the ability to phone and now the only way to contact is via an online form.

A Marketing Disasterclass

Upon receiving the vouchers from the registry office I was skeptical, and couldn't quite believe what I'd been given after looking into it.

I will say this review is not about Beaming Baby products, I haven't received or ordered any.

I have 10 years experience in marketing and just had to call this out. Your marketing targets new mums and dads with a promotion that details no terms and conditions, uses misleading language, and your actual selling points are tiny because you're trying so hard to push a false offer.

As per the ASA (Advertising Standards Authority) "All marketing communications or other material referring to promotions must communicate all applicable significant conditions or information where the omission of such conditions or information is likely to mislead (Code rule 8.17). This information must be clear and upfront. Rule 8.17 lists some conditions which are likely to be considered significant in all types of promotional marketing."

The offers are incredibly misleading. It's all simply discounts on expensive products that are for more affluent families or those who have specific needs that highstreet brands can't accommodate.

I read some of your replies to other reviews and you said that your nappies are priced for parents who have done their research and want a more eco-friendly solution or something that's for sensitive skin. If that's your target audience, why are you producing these little offer slips for every single new mum and dad who have never heard of you?

You've allowed for a negative reputation to grow from misleading and misplaced marketing that's done nothing but piss people off judging by your reviews.

Own who you are, go after your real target audience, and make sure whoever does your marketing understands how to correctly write promotions.

Tone deaf customer service

The nappies are good quality. The customer service is very poor though. I've had orders that haven't arrived and then when I've contacted customer service, they've not really acknowledged the issue. I recently found my latest order hadn't come through and when I asked why my subscription hadn't been fulfilled, I was told my subscription is no longer active and I should resubscribe. No explanation of why this happened, no apology and no acknowledgement that the issue is on their side because I didn't change my subscription. I can see they recently migrated their website and I wonder whether the account area hasn't been properly migrated. Their responses always feel very tone deaf to the conversation.

100% recommend. I swear by them!

I used Beaming Baby with my first born back in 2021 & I swore by them. She has incredibly sensitive skin and i used a very common nappy brand in which she became extremely sore. Switched back to beaming baby and she her skin improved so quickly.
Now having another baby I went straight to using them again. I got a voucher in her birth certificate which I used. It took the cost down a lot and came the wipes too. I now use the subscribe and save option, at first I got a bit confused how it worked but hoping I’ve got it understood now!
They used to allow swaps of full packs if you needed to size up. I have now cot acted them via Instagram, Facebook & email to see if this still happens, at the moment no reply but it has been the weekend!

Help with rash, but guaranteed to leak.

Started using these nappies following a recommendation to help with healing a nappy rash. It did help with that (alongside different creams etc). BUT these nappies always leak and is noticeably less absorbent.
We do not use them overnight/when outside because we know they will leak on the legs, no matter who puts them on and however tight.

Revised 12/11 - reduced to one star as these are astonishingly prone to leak. Glad to stop using them, ridiculously bad design.

An absolute joke receiving this voucher…

An absolute joke receiving this voucher after registering my child at the registry office. I was made to believe that there would be lots of benefits from getting this including £20 towards baby supplies but when I went into the website it was a discount on extortionate nappies. I clicked on the size 1 nappies which then showed me they wanted me to pay £29.99 for 64 nappies reduced with my £20 voucher (the original price was £59.87)!! This is outrageous when you can go to Asda and get a pack of 80 Pampers nappies for £12-£13 without a discount!

Complete Scam!!

I was very disappointed to only receive two nappies and two nappy sacks after paying £2 for a box that they made out would have £150 worth of gifts!!
A complete and utter scam! And disgusting that they would do this to newly parents who likely don’t have lots of money to throw away!!!

An absolute joke

An absolute joke!

I am furious. I registered my son and had a voucher for free gifts and samples! Paid the 2 quid delivery fee which is fine but when I opened the box that said "OPEN IMMEDIATELY, LIFE CHANGING GOODIES FOR YOUR BABY INSIDE" it had 2 nappies and 2 nappy sacks and a load of leaflets in it! I paid £2 for 2 blood nappies. I could of gone up Morrison's and got 50 for 75p. I can't believe something that comes from the registry office inside your child's birth certificate could be such a scam!

False promises on vouchers

Received several vouchers with folder after completing a birth registration. First voucher is a £20 voucher which takes price down from £49.99 to £29.99. Clear scam as these items don't cost that much. Next there's a QR code for free time of the month care (ecopeach). This brings you to their "trial pack" of 2 nappies and 2 nappy bags for £1.99. No female hygiene products in sight.

Then there's the link of their website ending with "/babygift" for £150. Includes links for "discounts" including the aforementioned time of the month care products. Again- the link leads to nappies.

Finally they have a link to "win" an organic and eco baby hamper worth £45+ with 25 winners a month. Links you to their site ending with "/hamper1". Again, just a big loop to the "trial pack" of the 2 nappies for £1.99.

Absolutely disgraceful and wasted 20 minutes of my time with the vouchers and also writing this review. Beware of this company and save your time and money. Disgraceful that they do this to so many parents around the country.

Unethical advertising

I picked up a flyer from the registry office advertising a £20 free voucher. After scanning the QR code, I was prompted to enter my name and email, so already harvesting my data. It then presented an offer: 60 nappies and 6 packs of wipes supposedly worth £59.87, reduced to £29.99 with the discount applied.

To put that into perspective, you can get the same quantity—60 nappies and 6 packs of wipes—for less than £6 at a budget supermarket. The original "full price" claim is absurd, and even the discounted rate is massively inflated. For £29.99, you could buy over five times the same amount in a regular supermarket.

It’s really concerning to see companies exploiting new parents like this, especially those who may not yet be familiar with typical prices. Charging nearly £60 for a few nappies and wipes is nothing short of predatory.

Disappointed in recent experience

Have used this company for almost two years since my daughter was born and have always loved them. However, I placed an order last week (based on their next day delivery which has always been the case and which they advertise) and still have not received any tracking updates. More importantly phone lines are down and email correspondence has totally stopped so I can’t get hold of anyone to provide me with an update. After spending just under £100 on my usual nappies, I’ve had to travel to purchase more nappies from a different brand as we have now ran out. Very upset and disappointed and hope for some communication asap.

Wipes ok, nappies dreadful.

Update 31st March
Thank you Jane @ Beaming baby for replying, refunding me and sending some cream - I've got to admit the customer service (bar the Facebook blip) has been good, even when I made my initial order. Changing from 1 star to 3
-----------
I bought their bundle of 2 packs of size 1 nappies and 2 different types of baby wipes. Both types of wipes were good, though the bamboo ones the packet was a bit annoying to get wipes out as the home was so small! I found the nappies to be bigger than pampers and Lidl, so saved them till those ran out. I found the nappies to be quite stiff and scratchy, unlike pampers and Lidl which were both soft and squishy. These nappies have left my daughter with horrible burn like rashes on her bottom, I messaged the beaming baby Facebook page just to report the issue but they have left me on read with no acknowledgement. I appreciate not all nappies work for all babies but I've never had anything like this before, with any other brands of nappy. Very upsetting as my daughter isn't even 4 weeks old. Thankfully going back to pampers and Lidl nappies along with lots of barrier cream, it's getting better. Do not recommend Beaming Baby nappies at all. I won't even give the rest away as I don't want anyone else to experience this.

Reply from Beaming Baby

Hi Emily

Thanks so much for getting in touch and I am so sorry that your little one has had a nasty rash.
I am also sorry that you did not have a reply from your facebook message sent of Friday - we have just seen this this morning.
Please be reassured that we offer a no quibble refund on any products that you are unhappy with, as part of our 100% HAPPINESS GUARANTEE. I have refunded your card for the full amount.

Nappy Rash can be extremely upsetting for you and your little one - It's so hard to see our babies experiencing any discomfort. We care a lot about all babies' skin at Beaming Baby. Our products are so very gentle with no harsh chemicals so I would be very surprised if our nappies are directly causing the problem. Burn-like rashes are not something we have heard of ever happening before as a reaction to little one's using our nappies. I have popped a free pot of our soothing Organic Nappy Cream in the post to your today which will help with your baby's skin at this time.

I hope your baby recovers quickly and well and thanks again for getting in touch.
All good wishes to You and Your Baby
Jane

Amazing support and great service

Amazing support and great service!

We’ve tried the generic brand nappies when our little one was born because we did not known any better. After couple weeks we could see that she was uncomfortable, always wet, the nappies leaked and gave her rash.

We heard about Beaming Baby from another parent and after getting the first sample box, never left.

She is visibly happier, nappy rash is not a thing anymore, we don’t really need to use any creams to help her be more comfy.

The customer support experience has been great as well, I had couple issues with the shipping and ordering wrong sizes and the orders got redelivered/exchanged to accommodate us.

The website could be a bit more modern when it comes to account and subscription management, it’s functional but a bit janky.

All in all - great product,

Game changer

Game changer. These nappies are soft and absorbent I would definitely recommend. I switched to these nappies when my baby was a couple weeks old and I am so glad I did, I stand by these are the main reason my little one has always slept through the night. Never had nappy rash or leaking. The customer service is amazing and the price of these nappies are completely reasonable for what they are, definitely worth it.
