Poor "Customer Service"

Most of their products are fine, but good luck if you come across one you don't like! I purchased a 'They're Real' eyeliner pen at my local Ulta and wasn't happy with it. I retuned it to the store for the lowest selling price (got $6, normally $24) but that was my fault because I tossed my receipt. I called Benefit customer service and explained how I was out money for the purchase, and to see if they would send me another product in place of the eyeliner because I believe companies should stand behind their products. They don't. At all. How much would it have cost them to send me a lip balm or mascara? Much less than the cost of a lost customer...

Bad and unfriendly experience - bad customer service

It is really sad that nowadays, in a time where the online trading is so far advanced, one has to make such experiences with the online shop of benefit cosmetics. First of all, I didn't even get an answer in a week from the customer service to the e-mail that I wrote. I first had to call benefit and then there was an unfriendly employee at the other end of the line, who sounded a little bit iffy regarding my request. Then I was asked several times why I suddenly don't want the product anymore and want to return it. So I had to justify myself what I am absolutely not used to from any other online shop's customer service. In the package was a return label, which was not accepted as a return lable by DHL and in the end I was asked to pay for the return myself. Thank you Benefit! A little more friendliness and customer service would really be appreciated! But unfortunately Benefit has a lot of catching up to do...I for my part won't shop in the Benefit Online Shop any more!

Benefit should look after their customers!!

I have had the exact same experience as reviewer (Dawn Dunn)
I was paying for some items and just as I was paying my basket was emptied and a notification that the transaction couldn't be completed so I added the items to my basket once again and successfully paid. I then got 2 "thank you for your order" emails both with different order numbers for the same items and price.
I emailed them straight away and got an email back saying there was nothing they could do and I would have to return one of the orders once they arrived. This annoyed me as It was only paid for half an hour earlier so i emailed them back again. This time i was told they had told the warehouse not to send one of the orders and issue a refund.....I've been waiting now for 3 weeks for my refund!! I have sent about 8 emails so far and each time fobbed off with that they'll chase it up....funny that they take the money quick but reluctant to refund.....
Their website is at fault yet I am constantly asking where my refund is...all I get back is BS promises. Total shock for such a well known large company...they don't look after their customers!! Rubbish customer service! They end their emails with "love & lashes" It's a joke!
I am disappointed and shocked that I have to chase the money which was wrongfully taken by their rubbish web page. I love Benefit cosmetics but this leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I won't be using them online again!!
BEWARE !!! Unless you want to lose money and have to fight to get it back!! =/

not helpful, even though their web at fault

I have given a two based on the products, but the service on the web have let me down.
I tried placing an order on line for an error to occur, their webpage advised an occur while trying to order please try again, I did with same message appearing. Some minutes passed I receive two emails confirmation of these orders???
So I send an email to try to cancel unaware of their rule of cancelling within their 30 minute window. Spoke to the customer care person via email, nothing they could do even though the two orders that they had placed (their web site fault) are still in process, have not been collected, haven't even been designated to courier yet. But I am told when the two parcels arrive, reject one and it will then be sent back and refund with will be processed on arrival, I have just read this can take up 2-3 weeks. So of course parcels arrive when I have not been in the house, therefore I have to return at my expense. So an order that I placed because there was an offer on, has actually cost me double and I have to pay for postage/ delivery to return. You would think with this being their fault that two orders placed, they would at least offer the cover cost of returns, or offer a voucher/ free gift even for the inconvenience of customer. Side note you need to get your QA to change order cancellation process, especially when items are still in order process as my order was, this has put put me off ordering from this site again

If I could leave 0 stars I would.... total joke of an organisation (im not talking about the products because I haven’t had a chance to get to know them!!)
A simple appointment at Portsmouth Debenhams is all I wanted!! Cancelled 3 times with “i’ll confirm” and get back to you in between..... nothing!!!

Bought a Mascara- picked up brown …

Bought a Mascara- picked up brown instead of black- went back the next day- they wouldn't swap it. Box hasn't even been opened! waste of £20.50

However- the Rollerlash Mascara is awesome. I have a brown for sale if anyone wants it !

Very Disappointed!!

Ordered some items directly threw the company ,BAD ideal they were gonna be Christmas gifts,well the company sends items on an envelope instead of a box ,received the items damaged ,boxed of items looked like it had been stomped on and ripped could not gift it !... I thought I could save time and avoid the the Mall ,well now I have to rush to the mall and stuck with the item ! took the company 11 days to reply ......very disappointed

Good luck getting your own money back

Bought a product from here that I always used to buy. It was obvious that they'd changed the ingredients and used cheaper ingredients for the product because the quality was so poor. They told me to send it back so I could get a refund on the product and the delivery. It took 5 weeks of me chasing them to get my money back. When I did, they didn't even refund me the correct amount.

If I hadn't chased them up in the first place and wasted all that time I would have never received my money back in the first place. Definitely not buying from them again. So sneaky

Delivery never made though no refund!

I purchased an eyeliner on the online store. A couple of days later the carrier company they use - MyHermes texted me that it was coming. I sat at home waiting all day only to find out on MyHermes website that they're claiming they made a delivery attempt! There was no card or any proof they did so.

I emailed Benefit immediately and alerted them. Asking them to leave the package with a neighbour or through the mailbox the next day since I don't intend to sit and wait again for nothing. That is - if they were actually coming this time. Benefit assured me they will let them know.

The next day I was out as said. I came home to find a card. They didn't leave the package as requested.

I emailed Benefit again who assured me there'll be a third attempt and this time they'll know they need to leave it - as I asked.
Yet again. Claims they left it. No card or anything!
Now it's been returned to sender and Benefit said they will not refund my delivery money. Despite the fact I wasted hours waiting for them, and the fact they left no card or package as requested. Also despite the fact Benefit were made aware from the very beginning.

Great birthday gift. Your customer service is appalling. I suggest you also consider another carrier. I did say that in my very first email too and you failed. Absolutely disgraceful.

Terrible delivery service

Very disappointed with their online ordering service. Placed my order through priory o2 deal.. was informed delivery will be 2-3 days.. 10 days later no delivery. Contacted customer service and was informed there was a problem with address. Gave my details again and was informed delivery will be 48 hours.. 4 days later still no delivery.. contracted them again to be told still errror in delivery address then was followed up by an email to be told I will be receiving a full refund in 2 weeks. Contacted them again to explain I wanted my products not a refund then to be told I can't have them due to it reaching 14 days. I explained I wasn't happy as the error wasn't from my side and would like to escalate it through the complaints procedure. I was advised to send it by email which I did, then received a reply stating they can't send me the products and will give me a £5 off voucher on my next online order. Absolutely will not be ordering online again.. very disappointed in the result given the fault lies with them.

Really disappointed after my visit to …

Really disappointed after my visit to Benefit House of Fraser in Manchester today especially after my last visit was so good! After 3 failed attempts to get through to book an eyebrow appointment I turned up to only one customer being served, 1 staff member chatting away to another member of staff on a different department (not about work!) and 2 other employees that were free however one of them couldn't do my brows because she was leaving soon. I was then told I could only be seen 45 minutes later without any explanation or apology. Its a shame as not only have they lost out on a sale for my brows I was also intending to buy more products!

Great product let down by poor service

I love benefit products but the service leaves much to be desired. Ordered my products a week ago, money out of my account, however, still yet to receive any form of despatch or shipping notification, sent 2 emails to the company who can't even seem to confirm if my order has been despatched or not.
Upsetting as a long term customer.

Pricey but great. Need bigger bottles for price please 💜

Love benefits cosmetics. I ordered Wednesday night. Spent about 140 on items. Pore professional, agent zero, matte gel ect. Item turned up in standard 2 days
So happy I got this before bank holiday. And the package itself when I opened the box was amazing. Thanks so much. Will definitely be purchasing again 💜 amazing products! Just amazing! Maybe bigger bottles for price but other than that. That's my only gripe. Definitely recommend benefits cosmetics to anyone who hasn't tryed them 😊

push up liner

I really, really love their eyeliner. Last long, it just stays there. Is a bit expensive for an eyeliner, but is worth it. Instead of spending money on rubbish products you can simply get this amazing eyeliner. I just need to buy 2 a year and I wear it every day. Love it! 😍

Christmas order canceled DO NOT TRUST

I received an order number and confirmation for order. I never received the email the representative speaks of below, nor does she mention that the first time I called, I was told that the order was at the Post Office. Benefit let me place an order and sent me confirmation and then does not deliver. Benefit could have fixed this. The email and resolution are unacceptable.

scam

these company has the worst costumer service that you could encounter inside the USA.

I bought a few products on the website and return a few, it has been 9 weeks and they have not refunded the money.

Thankfully, I returned the products with insurance at the post office, but they simply do NOT want to process the return.

I will send them to court if I have too.
