Bensons For Beds - Cardiff Gate Reviews 

Both my wife and I visited the Cardiff gate store on 2 occasions and we were given very good information on both the different mattresses and bed frames available we were assisted by Jo who is the manager who was very knowledgable and more importantly to us there was no pressure selling just answers to any questions we had ,
We have now ordered a temper mattress and bed frame and are satisfied with our choice…. We wouldnt hesitate in recommending this store

Sales person very informative and helpful
Process of sales was quick and easy but adding delivery for a £2000+ mattress was not good
£50 for disposal was too high local council was £20!
After sales avalanche of emails from Bensons is excessive

Helpful advice and guidance from in-house staff enabled a bespoke solution that we would not have found on our own from an extensive range of in-house options. Patient, professional and well informed assistance from Andy throughout. Excellent experience from browsing to purchase. All admin very efficient to date with delivery set well within the forecast range. No reservations in recommending Bensons to others.

Bed I looked at was checked for availability within a few minutes.
Sat down for a few more minutes to fill out paperwork and my bed was ordered.
Sales person was knowledgable and encouraged me to test the mattress for comfort.
Everything about the bed was discussed with me and what would happen on the day of delivery.

Two top boys who delivered excellent service

In store I cannot fault, the delivery however was a shambles.
One of the delivery guys dropped a heavy piece of a tv bed on my doorframe and broke it, I his delivery guy was wearing crocs, I also cannot believe the absolute disregard for health and safety.
This was witnessed by the 2 painters I had in the house as well as me. His words were that’s not my issue it’s a bensons issue.
He took a photo and said customer services will contact you tomorrow, they didn’t.
I contacted after a few days wait and they said “he said he didn’t do it so we have to believe him”
They offered me £100 when I said I will be taking legal action for the damaged door frame. I declined and will be taking legal action as the painters have already sent in a written statement whilst I am left with a broken door frame.

The lady that helped us to make adecision was called Summer. She was able to answer all our questions, and was friendly and helpful.

Andy served me in your Pontprennau, Cardiff store. He was extremely helpful and informative without being pushy regarding my purchase. I would highly recommend your store to family and friends and would have no hesitation in buying from you in the future.

Andy was very knowledgeable about the mattress, explained carefully. He was patient as dad is blind and was tad confused at times

I’m especially mentioning Andy who welcomed me and my Partner with a big smile on his face and introduced us to the best bed and mattresses available in the shop. Andy was very friendly and polite and helped us to make sure we get a best product (Mattress) and we think, we made a good decision by visiting Bensons in Cardiff Gate.

Very attentive patient lady called LIZ in the Cardiff Pentwyn branch was informative about all the many choices , that they offer and when we finally agreed on all the components, we were very relieved to hear that they do an exchange if we can’t cope with the new mattress

We made 2 visits to Bensons for beds the first time Graham was very helpful and friendly but we didn’t purchase that day because we had to check sizing unfortunately Graham wasn’t working on our second visit but Laura was very helpful and also friendly. We haven’t received our bed yet.

Excellent service from staff member Liz in the Cardiff Gate store. She spent plenty of time with us allowing me to try the bed we had come in to look at and to try several mattresses whilst providing us with all the information we required. The store was clean and tidy and had a lovely calm feel to it especially with the lovely relaxing 70's music playing.

Great service from Bensons Beds. The delivery and assembly of our new bed was performed perfectly by Luke & Callum. They contacted me 30 minutes before arrival, arrived on time, took off their shoes when entering the house, were very careful in moving the bed parts into the house and up the stairs and assembled the bed exactly where we wanted it. They took away all the packing and left the bedroom perfect. Many thanks to Bensons Beds, Luke and Callum. Most impressed 👍

Been to several different similar stores and don't like it when you get pounced on as soon as you enter. It intimidates some people or they end up accepting being followed and harranged while they try and browse. That being said, when I asked for assistance, it was helpful. No wonder these stores on the most part are empty.
