Bensons sold me a nice bed and made both buying it and getting it delivered dead easy.
The delivery was on-time and the lads who delivered it and assembled it were great.

The staff at Rugby was very helpful, wasn't pushy, we was after a Ottoman bed which we never had before, Michelle was very understanding and gave us some very important information to which we needed to consider before a purchase...the delivery was on the day we agreed and on time with the delivery lads of James and Dom who both did the assembly quickly and professionally.

Confusing Black Friday prices
It's always tricky for sales staff to strike the right balance between letting you try out the beds and giving advice, whichever furniture shop it is. What was disappointing here was the way the Black Friday prices were calculated to compare two packages (same divan, different headboards). The staff member wasn't clear about why the discount wasn't applied to the second option (it was because the initial price didn't reach £750), nor that transport was included in the price (but didn't count towards the £750). If she had said - "if you add a mattress protector it'll take it to over £750 and then the 25% discount will kick in" then there'd likely have been a sale.
By the way - it's a three-hour maximum stay at the Premier Park-operated Technology Retail Park (where we parked, opposite Bensons for Beds' entrance) which is different to Elliott's Field across the road. There's a £60 penalty charge if you go over the 3-hour limit. Bear that in mind if you're going to spend a while testing out beds and visiting other shops without moving the car.
