Bensons For Beds - Torquay Riviera Way Reviews 

Ordered a Bed from Bensons for Beds a couple of days ago for my mum & it was delivered today. Both Paul & Glen did a great job. Both very professional & friendly. Would highly recommend.

Delivery on time when they said it would be, again by engaging staff, overall pretty good

Good experience in the showroom with very helpful staff. No pressure and given plenty of time to make our minds up. Second time we've used Bensons and been very happy.
The delivery guys were very good, quick and took the old mattress and packaging away, no problem.
Overall a good experience.

Torquay branch - our mattress has only just arrived today, so I currently can't review the mattress. However, we could not rate our salesman George higher. I told him about the pressure points I had and he gave us three choices. It was great to go back and forth from each mattress as many times as we liked. Eventually we chose an I-Gel bed. George was very personable and offered great advice. He is an asset to this company and we hope this is acknowledged by Bensons for Beds. We wish you a fantastic 2026 George.

Need to add more stars for my experience with Jake!

I felt that I was properly taken care of by Jake who went the extra mile to ensure I got exactly what I needed.

No staff in an open store. Arrived to complete transaction of a reserved mattress. The collection date was today, so it was expected. Got to the store this morning to find no staff were there for Bensons for beds. The franchise that shares the store told me that George won't be in until 2pm, so we come back at 2.30, to find that he's still not there. I call customer services and get put through to another store (Gloucester) who were amazing. He called his regional manager and got back to me promptly, the call back was just as George turned up, no apology, just arrogance and attitude. Not even a thank you when taking my payment. We will absolutely not return to that store. Gloucester store on the other hand, we would happily travel to your store after today, thank you Gloucester ! Bensons, sort it out, we wouldn't have been the only customers being greeted by the hideous staff you have in Torquay.

The team in Torquay are great, they are very helpful and friendly. George answered all my questions and queries. He gave me brilliant advice and nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend the team in this branch.

The key are sales people. Listening ones. And that was our case. Thank to advise we made our decision swiftly.

I can’t fault the overall service. This is my second purchase recently and I was very happy to place another order. I have one criticism though. The sales person knew I was disabled, I was in a wheelchair. My wife is obviously unwell, she has cancer and has to use a walking stick. Despite this we were not informed that the bed we ordered had to be assembled. The unit was very heavy and they charged for assembly. It was delivered in 3 large packages and I was told it was self assembly. Not a good thing when we are both disabled and unable to handle these vert heavy units. I managed to get some help but it still took me most of the day to assemble and position the new bed.

The person that helped us with our purchase was very helpful, polite, knowledgeable and patient with us .

We ordered our bed in store at Torquay, the sales man was very helpful & gave us great advice.

The bed was delivered by Reece & James & I have to say they are an absolute credit to Benson. We have had several deliveries recently & been shocked by how unprofessional the staff have been but not Reece & James. They were very polite & respectful of our home, taking great care not to knock anything with the bed, mattress etc & swiftly assembled it & removed all the packaging. We have another item on order which is due Jan, hopefully it will w these guys again.

We were helped by George who was really helpful, knowledgeable and not in anyway pushy, which made the whole process very easy and pleasant.would have no hesitation in recommending Bensons.
