Bensons For Beds - Warrington Winwick Road321 Reviews 

We ordered a divan bed with a headboard from Bensons in Warrington. The first delivery came but the delivery person very honestly told us there was a rip on the right side of the bed so we could either have it replaced or have some money taken off. As the rip was not visible and didn't affect the operation of the bed, we said we'd be happy with a partial refund.

When Bensons rang us they would not offer this option and insisted on a replacement. So a month later it came. We opened the door to two men, one of whom told us he had a bad back and smelt like a pub. They then proceeded to drag the replacement base up the stairs, with the casters on, scratching and damaging the paintwork up the stairs. After they'd left we found the headboard unstable and making a loud noise when we leant against it. We reported this the same day to customer services and they called their delivery department whilst we were on the phone. The operator then came back and said the crew they'd sent were experienced so they couldn't see how it could have happened. They asked us to send pictures and a video which we did but they never got back in contact. I told them I was not happy with their response but they refused to send anyone back to correct the fault.

We eventually arranged for the fault to be fixed without Bensons because they were clearly not going to help us. Of the four bolts holding the headboard in place, three were loose and one was so loose, it could be spun with a finger. They were duly tightened and the problem was fixed. So much for their "experienced" team.

They offered a tin of paint to fix the damage to our paintwork but as paint pigment oxidises and changes colour on walls when it's been on a couple of years, it would require a full repaint of the stairs and landing otherwise the paint would look patchy. They kind of lost interest after that.

I'd never have Bensons for Beds back in my home again. They are appalling and I am happy to discuss with with any one of them if they care to get in touch. My order number is B3218270.

The Bensons for Beds delivery team, Hessy and Gav, were a pleasure to meet. They were kind, polite and reassuring. I didn't have to lift a finger and they were in and out of my home in under 10 minutes. They covered their feet to protect the carpet and took away all the packing materials. I would give this delivery more than 10 out of 10 if I could!

The bed was delivered timeously & erected & placed where I wanted it. The room was cleared of all the packaging

Gary was very polite and in general a really nice guy to talk to, his customer service skills are excellent and he made the experience very pleasant and easy, also explained everything that comes with the package and the process that takes place throughout the order.

We had a great time in store, the assistant helping us was relatively new (she said) but it didn't seem like it she was a natural! Great service and got exactly what we wanted after explaining our needs. Great experience!

There was a lady assistant who we dealt with us at the winwick/warrington store she was extremely knowledgeable and no pressure to purchase. We purchased a new mattress there were lots choose from. I would just like to say that the delivery date was a bit long as we purchased on the Saturday 18th January and the delivery date is 17th February which I thought was a long time to wait.

Sarah was a lovely, respectful assistant who greeted us and was not “pushy”, great customer service and knowledgeable of meeting our needs that we came away having ordered the exact bed/mattress we wanted. Sarah ensured we were given truthful advice on our products. Deserves a bonus!

Hi I only gave four stars because I thought the bed came with an headboard. Now I have to save up for a headboard which will take me ages. Otherwise the service was great the drivers who delivered were very nice and polite.

Really good experience from the Warrington branch. We were looked after by Linda, who was really supportive and provided us with some great advice too. The staff are not pushy in the slightest, and allow you to make your purchase in your own time.

We were able to see the bed in store after looking on line. They had a range of mattresses to choose from and the sale offer was great.

We made a visit at the end of a long day of bed shopping, and Bensons was last on our list - more out of nostalgia than anything else. We're both fifty-something and we remember the "Bensons for beds" jingle, but we thought it would just be an academic exercise as they probably wouldn't have the best deals anyway as they trade on their name / longevity. How wrong we were. We'd been quoted various prices for various beds elsewhere, with hidden extras and so on. When we went to the store in Warrington, there was a dizzying array of offers on, but Steve came over to us and asked if we wanted any help. We immediately confessed to not being able to do percentages, so he kindly gave us an example of what our savings would be on the bed we were standing next to. Impressive work. We told Steve what we wanted, and he took us immediately to what we were looking for. We discussed prices and he gave us lots of options and ways to maximise our savings. He was super-friendly throughout, not even remotely pushy, and really down to earth, honest and genuine. We loved Steve. Lots of banter as well, and we even ended up getting a post-Christmas Kit-Kat while we were signing paperwork! I mean, what's not to love about that?

Very knowledgeable about products, left you alone to make a decision with no pressure to buy. This is our third visit and never disappointed
