Very happy first time customer

Really happy with my first experience of using Bergzeit - I ordered a pair of Zamberlan walking boots (that were significantly cheaper than elsewhere) and they were delivered to the UK in five days (arrived today). There were regular tracking updates on Bergzeit and through DHL too. Obviously it's just my experience but very happy with everything!

Beware for now

Beware for now. 3-5 days delivery but maybe +2 due to the pandemic; we'll proactively update you. Seems fair enough. But on the 9th day there had been no dispatch, and no communication. Like others, they ask you not to contact as they don't have any information on deliveries. I cancelled my order as it seemed unlikely ever to leave, let alone arrive. They did respond quickly to the cancellation and refunded the money a week later. Alpinetrek seems a good alternative with dispatch confirmed the day after ordering.

No complaints whatsoever!

I bought a pair of Scarpa hiking boots and everything went smoothly! I received the right product, right on schedule, and costumer service answered all my questions (via phone call). Also, I was able to track my order via DHL. No complaints whatsoever. I ordered from the Netherlands.

Something seems wrong at Bergzeit

Something seems wrong at Bergzeit. I recently ordered and paid for a £350 tent and when it hadn't come within a reasonable amount of time chased it, only to receive the same response as another reviewer: 'please don't contact us about your orders.'! I insisted they did respond and was told that actually they didn't have the tent in stock and that I had already been refunded the money. A week later after a exchange which included denial and supplying numbers of non-existent transaction, I was finally refunded the money: by then I felt lucky to have got it. I got the impression Accounts were being slippery: the customer service woman seemed sincere. I will not be risking my money with them again. By the way, I bought the same tent online from World of Camping and got it within 2 days and no nonsense.

Just awful

Bought some shoes off them, they were never delivered and the customer service was awful. No shoes, no refund and a lot of stress.

Wrong reimbursement of returned articles

I received two separate packets from bergzeit, I kept some of the goods and returned all other in one packet. Shortly after I was e-mailed that they reimbursed the money of the returned goods. However, they only reimbursed articles from the first packet and these even incomplete and completely ignored the articles from the second packet even though I returned them. I included the shipment information of both orders. For example the packet included two different helmets, yet they reimbursed only one. No clue how this is possible. And of course no one is answering my messages since one month. Anyone else experiencing the same? Is this some sort of new strategy? Very disappointed, can not recommend this shop at all.

Update: In the meantime I was contacted by bergzeit and got reimbursed for all the articles that I sent back. Even though, they were ignoring my direct message, I have to admit that they came up now with a solution very quickly and straightforwardly. Thank you.

Delivered wrong product and Bergzeit does not admit that

I had ordered a Garmin Fenix 6X Sapphire Titanium GPS Watch on 23 June 2020 and paid EUR 899.95.

However, Bergzeit incorrectly sent me a Fenix 6 Sapphire.

Despite exchanging 14 e-mails with photos/evidence of the delivered product, Bergzeit kept (incorrectly) insisting they had sent the right product.

Please find attached photos of the box, the watch and the invoice all indicating that you have sent me a Fenix 6 (rather than 6X).

The Bergzeit telephone number always kicks me out, consistently indicating that there is no agent available.

I am getting really desperate to get this resolved...

Shipping ok

Ordered Garmin fenix. Order was confirmed but shipped only after 2 days. However arrived nice and well.
I wanted to cancel order to order somewhere else, but that was not possible even though the order was not yet shipped...

Fast resolution to initial complaint

I have edit this review in light of a prompt response to my complaint. I received a phone call from Germany and the product was dispatched the next day. Original review: I ordered a product, paid, but then noticed it had not even been dispatched by the delivery date. When I emailed, an automated reply asked me not to email about orders! Having paid over £450 and not received anything I believe I'm entitled to email. This company has my money, but I have no goods.
I know these are challenging times, but they shouldn't state 3-5 days delivery when clearly they have no intention of delivering anywhere near that quickly.

Still waiting for contact from Bergzeit Customer Services on an issue.

Still waiting for Bergzeit Customer Services to return my query ref. a Garmin device they state was delivered at 21:07 a week ago. Cannot contact them by phone and when using their email contact, you get a reply telling you not to contact them ref. the shipping of my order. I have escalated to PayPal, but all i want is the goods i've paid for and a reply from Bergzeit.

Customer services nil

If i could give Bergzeit no stars I would. Absolutely appalling, no way of getting hold of them try ringing the number and can't get through. Emailed twice no reply. Messeged on their Facebook page no reply. I placed an order on Tuesday 28th April and when paying and entering my card details it said sorry were not able to complete the payment, but when I checked my bank they've taken payment. I've had no order confirmation from them. And when I log in it says no previous orders. So they've taken my money but as far as I can see they've not placed my order. So I need to ring the bank to see if they can get my money back.

Sent shoes with defects then ignores you!

My order was dispatched fairly quickly and arrived in good time. However, the running shoes I bought contained a defect. I contacted Bergzeit about this and they just ignored me! Pretty poor customer service. Won't be repeat purchasing.

I need contact

Last saturday I ordered from Bergzeit. Today I received conformation that my package has been delivered. I have been home the whole day and received nothing. I checked with my neighbors as well. They also haven't received anything on my behalf. I tried contacting Bergzeit by contact form and by phone. The phone number does not seem to be in use. I need to get in contact to receive information about the whereabouts of my package asap.

Fast delivery to Denmark!

I know people have some bad experience with Bergzeit and it happens mostly when there is wrong size or some problem with system but it does not happen always, have ordered some gear and received pretty fast with tracking available and without any flows so I could recommend them since prices are so good.

ski boots with Bergzeit / Outdoorbroker

First order ski boots with Bergzeit. When received two different sizes after an email without any response I called. Took me 40 minutes to get somebody on the phone. They said to sent the boots back and reorder them. I received a voucher for the inconvenience.
When reordering the prices went up with EUR 40, so I called again (and again 40 minutes waiting). The Helpdesk employee provided me with new voucher for the difference.... Tried to reorder but the correct size no longer available.
Checked the internet and other website outdoor broker.com did have the shoe in the correct size for a good price. When received... again two different sizes. But the upside pair! Then I found out the Bergzeit.de and Outdoorbroker.de are the same companies! What the F.... Trying to contact Outdoorbroker.de for two weeks now, by email and phone, without any luck! Unbelievable what a mess. Never, never again. The company is a joke.
