Purchased Insignia AirTags on the recommendation of a friend. Got them home, 3 worked and one was dead. Went back to the same store (Tower Rd in Aurora, CO) to see about a replacement or a new battery... See more

Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. If I could give a zero rating, I would. First off, I am not tech savvy. I am 63 years old. I walk into the Pacoima store and I am greeted by the employee sitting in the front greeting people. I guess you would call him the greeter. I explain, and show him my situation so he directs me to the printers and ink area. I explain, and show the female employee that works that area, my situation, and she says she knows what I need. So I follow her and she proceeds to look for a lightning cord, I guess that’s what you call it for an iPhone, and a small adapter for my SD card reader/USB device. So she hands me two small boxes, one with the lightning cord, the other with two small adapters that come in the box. I told her all I want is an adapter, one adapter, that goes from my iPhone to my USB device so I can watch the videos off my SD card reader. And I ask her, “Is this gonna work?” She replies “This is exactly what you need”. So I purchase the items, take them to my car in the parking lot, TRY to put them together and it’s the wrong small adapter. The small adapter fits a different kind of smart phone. So I go back in the store and wait in the return line, return the adapters and get a refund. I kept the lightening cord thinking I might be able to still use it. The greeter at the door notices me exiting and asks “what happened?” I said. “wrong small adapters”. He then directs me to the Geek Squad. I explain, and show the female employee working there my situation and she tells me they don’t sell those kind of adapters. I would have to buy them from a third-party, online. I’m saying to myself that this is getting too complicated. I say to her, “doest’t Apple Store sell these adapters?” She says no. So, I go home and look on the Apple Store app anyway. And gee, what do you know? Apple Store sells the iPhone lightening cord with the USB adapter, all-in-one. So I go back the next day, wait in line again, and get another refund. Turns out, the first employee handed me a lightning HDMI adapter that was useless for my situation. Terrible customer service! No product knowledge, no technical know how. I bet they couldn’t put a puzzle together even if they had all the pieces in front of them. I left that store feeling very disappointed.
My experience at Best Buy started off…
My experience at Best Buy started off very frustrating and confusing. I spoke with two different employees at first, and unfortunately I was given incorrect information that ended up locking me out of all of my accounts. I left feeling overwhelmed and upset, but when I came back and spoke with the manager, Marcia, everything changed.
Marcia was absolutely amazing. She was patient, understanding, professional, and truly went above and beyond to help me fix everything. Noah also deserves recognition because he was incredibly friendly, helpful, and had excellent customer service skills. Both of them turned a stressful situation into a much better experience, and I really appreciated the time and effort they gave me.
The one major issue I think Best Buy needs to improve is the Wi-Fi. Customers should not have to wait 30 minutes to an hour just to back up data or transfer information. For an electronics company, reliable and fast Wi-Fi should be a priority.
Overall, thank you to Marcia and Noah for their outstanding customer service and for helping me through a stressful situation!
Pretty decent experience for a big box…
Pretty decent experience for a big box retailer. Was able to have an item from the store shipped directly to me so I didn’t have to drive 40 miles
Tried 5x to reach a person to inquire…
Tried 5x to reach a person to inquire if they have a particular phone in stock to avoid making a blank trip. Could not find a number to reach a living soul and their reviews online are horrible. That wasn’t my experience a couple of years ago, so I’m really surprised to see how low their scores have dropped by online customer service and here on trustpilot. Dismal experience. That’s abominable losing sales to an AI assistant that is just as crazy with their chat capability absolutely unacceptable and rude. Just hung up on me. People are so much better over AI.
12 days to change my Tv with the
12 days to change my Tv with a Geek Squad insurance subscription! I will never buy anything at Best Buy.
I purchased surround sound speakers Best Buy
I purchased surround sound speakers. I did not take the speakers out of the box. I needed to get more info as to how I will use the speakers and how they will connect to my system. I decided after thirty-three days that they would not be good for my application and returned the speakers. They have a 15-day return policy for a full refund. I went past that date, and they said if I wanted a full refund, I would have to buy a membership for the cost of thirty dollars. because I went past the 15-day return policy, or get a gift card for the full amount. There was a time when Best Buy did anything for its customers. Not anymore. I don't buy electronics very often, so it was like throwing my money away. This policy is extortion and racketeering
Went in to get replacement screen…
Went in to get replacement screen protectors I already purchased for life of phone. The manager said we don’t have them anymore and I need to pay for new one. When I said that’s not right he said it’s not his problem and walked away laughing. Rude and obnoxious and I’ll never shop there again. They lost my business.
I called the 800 number and they said they will make me an appt to get the correct protector free of charge and the manager should have offered that.
If you wanna work in retail you need to be customer focused and this manager was more concerned with talking with his co workers than helping me.

The absolute worst online shopping ever
The absolute worst online shopping that I have ever had !!!
I see Best Buy reviews were under 2 stars.
I attemped to buy a pricey item online but was prevented from buying because of layers of Best Buy conflicting computer GAK.
I could not buy it as a guest.
I had to open an account - unable to open account.
Was prompted to enter another email address but received no verification code at that address.
I spent 75 minutes with a "chat" representative only to find "invoice failed"
Told to use another browser but I only have one browser,
Quit attempt to spend $ at Best Buy after 20minutes online & 75 minutes on "chat".
Multiple items to perform, all failed - 95 minutes wasted.
Failed to spend my money at Best Buy.
I was going to buy a "Geek Squad" protection plan but gave up on that, fearing layers of Best Buy gak would prevent me from using the "Geek Squad" (name sort of diminishes confidence).
Fire the entire Best Buy IT section.
Best Buy is a dynamic disaster for on-line shopping.
Best Buy will never respond to my complaint - just don't care.
More tail wagging the dog - make customers comply with some stupid inane process vs. making the process comply with customer's needs.
Like to see all Best Buy doors pad locked.
Last time I shop with Best Buy
It’s crazy how companies I once loved as a young adult have witnessed a complete 360 in customer service and approach now that I’m 40. Best Buy is among the worst of these companies, as after today I won’t be shopping with them anymore.
I purchased a phone from Best Buy’s Lively service because, in conjunction with Cap One Shopping, they offered me rewards gift cards for my purchase.
I bought and paid for the phone, but I never received the cards. When I contacted Best Buy, they blamed Cap One. When I contacted Cap One, they said it’s Best Buy’s fault.
I just wanted my money back. Best Buy told me it would not give me a full refund despite the fact that I never even opened the box it was shipped in. Not a chance. I immediately fought the charge on my card and will pursue this to the full extent of the law.
I’m done playing games with retailers and credit card companies. It’s nuts that our government allows this crap to happen, but I’m not.
Bad Employee
Hello, id like to inform Dylan Employee at best buy in fargo north dakota, he was very rude, he would not let us test the speakers that i was interested in buying but not anymore. Very disappointed, i have been looking forward to this speaker for months now. I would like this to be handled asap. Other than the store was enjoying other employees were super respectful BESIDE DYLAN. As said, im very disappointed. I would like to have a reply on this soon. If your going to have it on display then let the customers play around with it.
Best Buy is a Scam
Absolute SCAM of a company. ZERO customer service. Do not purchase appliances from Best Buy. Purchased a Bosch oven, scheduled delivery a couple days later with a 7 am-7 pm installation window. Never showed up or called. Next day we called numerous times, speaking to multiple people in other countries before finally learning nothing, but getting installation scheduled again in 2 days. That window came and went, no oven, no phone calls, and no explanation. Process repeated with phone calls AGAIN trying to locate our oven with no explanation regarding the no-show or where the oven or the delivery driver is. Once again phone calls made, delivery window promised the next day - AGAIN. This time we get an email stating delivery must be rescheduled - no explanation whatsoever. This is the THIRD promised delivery & installation date. BEST BUY IS SYNONYMOUS WITH SCAM. We then drove to the store, unable to reach a human by phone, and demanded a refund after no explanation could be provided on the whereabouts of our oven or why all three attempts failed to materialize the installation of the oven we paid for.
BUYER BEWARE
BUYER BEWARE
BEST BUY is by far the worst of all appliance stores! The delivery companies are always third party and I have nothing but positive comments for them. The two drivers even came back at the end of the day to see what was going on and confirmed that the machine was defective. Dealing with Best Buy was the real nightmare!! They simply read from a script and don’t listen to anything you say! Try to speak to a manger and they tell you they will call within 1-2 hours. It’s now been 20 hours. Thought we had it resolved, associate told me it would take time for return/exchange to process but she would call before she left last night……still waiting on her. When I spoke to call center this morning the associate told me they are a call center and don’t have notes, put me on hold, came back 5 min later (per timer on my phone) and told me she read notes 🤦♀️ Save yourself the stress don’t shop at BEST BUY!!!
I bought a 350 dollar car amplifier…
I bought a 350 dollar car amplifier from them a little over a month ago and now they are selling it for less then 200 and they won't honor the discount. Best buy has the worst return policy ever I've seen. They want charge you a restocking fee because so much work to pushing the buttons on that computer. That was the first time about anything from there and probably 10 years and probably another 10 years before I buy anything from there again. Walmart sells the same stuff cheaper and they'll return anything. If you like wasting your money Best Buy is the place to be.
HORRIBLE HORRBLE HORRIBLE
Like others, I'd like to give a ZERO-star review. April 3rd, 2026, I placed an order for a mini refrigerator to be delivered on April 9th at the Distribution Center 2 miles from my home. At 6PM on 4/9 the order status was changed to unknown delivery date. NO COMMUNICATION other than the online status. I called several times and got nothing but excuses, and was once told that I should have canceled the order and replaced it because I was no longer in the queue for one. I finally MADE them give me a phone number to talk to someone. Her answer was to pick it up farther from my house. I finally got an email, it was there to pick up (May 1st, 2026), but they have charged me an additional $6.21 in taxes based on the more inconvenient location that THEY made me go to. They say that they will refund the extra tax, but that will take another 3 days. Unless you are going into the store and they have it on the floor, my recommendation is to NEVER buy from Best Buy! Worst experience I have ever had in buying an appliance. (Update) Got it home and it's dented. They won't discount it. I have to drag it back to get a refund! NEVER AGAIN!!!
I purchased a “open box” refrigerator…
I purchased a “open box” refrigerator Wednesday night to replace mine which was functional in the freezer but not cooling the refrigerator side like it’s supposed to. So after browsing around various websites/stores I decided on Best Buy- which I fully regret in the deepest way possible, days later I’m still frustrated with the experience. So I walked around and had to find a guy to ask for a specific refrigerator I found online. After it was determined that’s not available at your store he mentioned a similar option. So we walked over and freight pallets where parked directly in front of this whole row of displays so that was very inconvenient however, salesperson asks via the radio for them to be moved and we stand and wait. Once the freight was moved, we were able to see the fridge which was not on so basically a useless display. I decide against it and open box is brought up mainly because I ask what refrigerators were in stock typically you shop at a store to take something home with you so to my surprise basically nothing is in stock and is multiple days out. But obviously open box are available. I decide to purchase one I get walked over to the Computer area fairly quick transaction. Pull my vehicle to the curb and it was loaded in a reasonable time. I had to remove my front door my storm door, the gas struts for my storm door, furniture, my kitchen table and then both doors on the new fridge and then huff it up three stairs and a second landing. All of which is part of the process and I have no problem with that. Fast-forward to Friday afternoon I get home and there is ooze coming out of my freezer come to find out it was near room temperature, and all of my meat and frozen goods had completely thawed and ruined. The refrigerator had power the lights worked and the refrigerator half appeared to be functioning and cooling properly. At this point, I was panicked and frustrated because I’m getting ready for my kids this weekend and I have to have a refrigerator for them and medicine. I do what everyone does in immediately googles Best Buy’s phone number to call the store to see what we can work out. Here begins the beginning of the end of Best Buy. I reach. I can only describe as a foreign call center representative who although polite and understanding and I’m sure you can reference this call because I was on the phone a solid hour just trying to contact someone at the store to see what they could do and what refrigerators they had in stock so I could return mine and get a replacement. I spoke to multiple people and it “” is impossible to speak to a local store via the phone. No one at the customer service line was able to provide me with any solution of any kind and strung me along wasting my time. I simply stated what needed to happen and after I talk to and explain myself multiple times someone said they’re able to email the store and have the store contact me within two hours so approximately 10 minutes later I receive a call from the store manager, Talon, who I describe my situation in detail for literally the 10th time And he offers me two options. One is another open box and the other is an in stock refrigerator, so I explained to him my situation and then it would would take me a few hours to get into town at which point I had to completely unload and throw away all the spoiled food remove the doors move my furniture again remove my storm door my gas struts my front door load the refrigerator back onto my trailer. Obviously I can’t leave my house without a front door and a storm door so I had to reinstall side doors drive all the way back into town at which point I asked to speak to Talon in person he was available and very policy, driven with his answers and his ability to offer assistance to the point although kind he was completely useless and lacked the ability to solve any problem whatsoever and as a store manager that is disappointing and sad that you have the system lockdown so tight that he basically had what I would consider sales associate level privileges. He was unable to compensate me via discount or otherwise for travel time gas trouble of disassembly reassembly my time and my kids time as well as an entire freezer full of food. He tried to reassure me that the open box had been checked and that he would follow up with the associate involved does not make it right to sell someone defective fridge. I was extremely disappointed with the entire experience from start to finish reminds me of reasons why I hadn’t shopped Best Buy frequently and clearly now will avoid it. It all costs because you have no customer service no empathy and no actual ability to solve anyone’s problems .
I was sold fake apple gift cards at the…
I was sold fake apple gift cards at the Best Buy Dunwoody location in Atlanta ,and was on the phone for hours with people from everywhere in the world but America wasting my time and getting no where with trying to rectify my problem worst ever customer service. Also left my contact info got cut off and didn’t even have the decency to even call me back, when I did call got the same waste of my time.So people looking at all the negative reviews let’s help to put them out of business buy not shopping at best buy if they give a shit about you spend your money elsewhere, the power of coming together.
Best Buy Reward Scam and Rip-off Customer Service Reps - Avoid
I had an extremely frustrating and misleading experience with Best Buy that has still not been resolved.
I contacted customer support to use a $10 Reward Certificate on a $9.37 order. The representative told me the total needed to exceed $10 and then explicitly instructed me to let him add a small item so the certificate would apply. He assured me that after I paid, the extra item would be canceled and refunded while my $10 Reward Certificate would still be honored.
Relying on that guidance, I agreed. He added a $4.99 item I did not want. After I completed payment, he left the chat and I was transferred to another agent who told me the item would be canceled, but I would still be charged and my $10 certificate would be forfeited.
It gets worse. When I escalated the issue, I was told the original chat “was not documented,” which directly contradicts what multiple other representatives told me—that all chats are recorded. The escalation specialist has continued to deny or avoid reviewing the interaction and has not provided any real resolution.
Let’s be clear:
• I relied on instructions from a Best Buy representative
• I was told exactly how the transaction would be handled
• That promise was not honored
• I was charged and lost my reward as a result
• Escalation has been unhelpful and inconsistent, with conflicting statements about whether the chat even exists
This is not just poor service—it’s a breakdown in accountability. Customers should not be told to proceed with a transaction under specific terms, only for those terms to be ignored and then denied afterward.
I am still requesting a full refund of the charge and reinstatement of my $10 Reward Certificate. Until that happens, I cannot recommend doing business with Best Buy.
I purchased a computer and a service…
I purchased a computer and a service contract. They wanted to sell me a three year contract but I told them I only wanted a one year contract and paid up front. At the end of the first year they charged me for the next year and I refused to pay. Then Citi their credit card company began sending me late notices and I did not pay them. When they contacted me I told them I hadn't made any new purchases. They reported me to credit bureaus and my credit score was dropped 100 points. Best Buy credited my account however my ctredit score never returned to where it was
