Glad I'm not alone with this firm being so bad
The customer service is horrendous. They don't speak English very well so it takes about 4/5 emails to sort something basic out, and the emails aren't fast from them

They don't do live streaming on sports such as football and the odds are horrible

You can't get hold of them on the phone which is always a question mark

They take your money. But when you want to withdraw totally different story
More excuses why it's late
2 days holding the money in case of collision or fraud. They didn't care about that when I deposited. So they keep your money 2 days then 3-5 days processing and lucky if you get it in a working week

They seem to do as they like. I got in touch with the GC but they didn't want to know. I'm not sure how these cowboys get a licence

I notice nobody from the company on here replying either. They don't give a damn

No free bets
No telephone to call them on
And if you want to withdraw you have to wait 48 hours totally unacceptable.

DO NOT USE BetStars.uk they let you make deposits and then freez you account for verification with no staff on duty.

Your website shouldn’t even have a UK LICENSE.

This company is an absolute disgrace. Whenever you attempt to withdraw funds they make your life absolutely as difficult as they possibly can. I have reported them to the financial ombudsman and suggest others in a similar position follow suit. This company should not be operating as the reviews here already totally prove and clarify. Horrific experience.

I think these guys are shameless cheaters. Here's my story: even though there are better odds elsewhere, I was betting with BetStars for their 80 min insurance. This came in handy about 3 times (out of like 15). Then they restricted my account but they didn't tell me or give any indication whatsoever that they did so (no emails or limited stakes, etc) and I kept betting with BetStars for about a month. Every time I logged, I got prompted for the 80 min insurance offer. Then I lost my Arsenal bet in the 80th min and when I didn't get a free bet, I emailed them to ask if there were any restrictions on my account. They replied that my account had no restrictions. Still no free bet. Finally, after a 30 min live chat, I was told that my account was in fact restricted because I had "won too many times" - actual quote from CSR and that it had been so for a month. Apparently, they just "forgot" to email me. Had I known that before, I would have bet my money somewhere else with better odds and gotten better returns. TLDR: they are only pretending to offer you 80 min insurance so that you'll bet with them at their crappy odds. If you lose your bet after the 80th minute more than 3 times (because apparently that's in your control), they will claim you weren't eligible for insurance all along. Win-win for them, lose-lose for punters. There's basically no incentive to bet with them so go where there are better odds.

Worst customer service of any book maker I have EVER used!

I deposited a large sum of money into my betting account to be thrown the 'verification' limit on my account. Fair enough, this is common practice amongst all bookmakers to confirm your identity and that you are of legal age to gamble.

It's now 10 days later and I've received 3 emails (despite sending all my bank docs - inc. statements/front and back of card/photo ID/drivers license etc.) A LOT more than other sites

They have come back extremely slowly saying it is not sufficient bla bla, this is non sense, I have used just about every book maker going and this has been more than enough , so there's clearly some issues within their security department.

They say they're 24/7 customer service, however you're lucky to get an email every 48 hours and there's not telephone line or live chat within the UK.

I have since raised a visa dispute and my bank are working on getting the deposited funds back in to my account

I won £580, 2 weeks later they still haven't paid out my winnings. They make you wait 48 hours due to "fraud and collusion". Then when you wait and withdraw they've made me wait 2 weeks to now say I need to confirm my identity by emailing passport ect. I've won more with other bookmakers and never had a problem. Betstars are happy to take your money but once it's time to pay out they make it as difficult as possible. Avoid at all costs. I'll be making a complaint to the gambling commission.

Odds are terrible. Customer service atrocious. How can you not have a telephone number in 2018? Quite happily to take your money but if you want to withdraw its held for 48 hours against collusion & fraud. They're not bothered about that when you deposit.
No live sports feeds either. Dreadful. How did they get a licence?

I deposited £20, made a bet and won, leaving me £45. Tried to withdraw but as SOON as the bet had won I get a message upon logging in telling me that my account was 'temporarily' restricted (don't believe this, it will stay blocked until you show them ID).

Annoying as this was, I thought fine, so I followed their instruction and took a nice clear photo of my driving license and attempted to send it to them via their online contact form as instructed. This repeatedly would not send, with an error message appearing on-screen.

I then tried emailing them several times to solve the issue, not once have I received a reply. They basically take your money and ignore anything you send them

I am still looking to resolve this matter. What I would say is, what are IBAS doing about all of this? They can clearly see that the reviews for these scumbags are all 1 stars and that they are effectively stealing money from people but nothing is being done about it?

I see a lot of people have experienced a similar situation to myself and several others I know. Make a deposit, all of a sudden your account gets frozen and BetStars refuse to give a refund. Make no mistake, this is a scam! Myself and a journalist friend are launching an investigation with a major publication, with the hope of either exposing this fraud of a bookies to the public or ideally removing their licensing. I have also contacted the the Gambling Commission, and they have asked me to send over all of the info we have. We currently have 4 of our own accounts which have had the exact same thing happen to them, but we want as much as physically possible to build our case so please either call the GC directly and send all of your correspondence/evidence across to them, or forward it to me directly and I will send it to both the GC and the investigator to help build our case against BetStars. If you contact the Gambling Commission directly, please advise them that you are linked to an investigation and they should know what you're referring to - we've been on and off the phone to them all day - use the reference number BSB001 so we can link them all together. I know in most cases they're only taking around £20 from people, but it is happening so frequently that I feel it should not be tolerated.

One star is way too much! I deposited £20 into Betstars and they froze my account.I emailed them with no reply....you cannot get to them - they are scammers. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY! It only cost me £20..it could cost you much more when they rip your identity - BE WARNED!

Total Scammers don't go near they should be banned..Put £50 in account frozen will be trying my hardest to get them shut down...I think the only people giving them good reviews are the scammers themselves ..AVOID

Deposited £20 and they immediately froze my account. I then received an email asking for copies of passport, utility bills etc basically everything needed to clone identity. I have reported them to PayPal and will be contacting the gambling commission.

Sorry to go against the grain here, but I honestly think Betstars is my favourite betting website having had an account with them for a few years now.

Their odds I'd say are amongst the best, particularly for football.
They have loads of different quirky offers for existing customers, more than the majority of betting companies.
Their website is easy to use on desktop or mobile.

The only area where I don't think they're as good as the likes of Betfair and Coral is horse racing.

Seeing the other reviews and the fact nobody from betstars has replied sums this useless company up
Their odds are garbage as are their limits
When I went to withdraw after a win they told me had to wait 48 hours until I could withdraw due to fraud/collision

Opened the account and deposit with no problem .After a few win for the world cup matches and they said your account has frozen . What a fxxxxxg joke ? Telling all this bs story why they frozen my account . I should have check with trustpilot before joining . Totally scammers this Betstar betting site . Please everyone do not join this scammers betting site . I have no problems with other betting site like BetBright ,kwiff ,ROYAL PANDA and Betway is favourite betting site . I really hope this Betstar betting site will get their betting license taken away one day . ONE LAST STAY AWAY FROM Betstar .

Continually demanded more documents and practically accused me of faking my identity.

DON'T deposit any money with them.

Ask them what doc. they require before depositing your money, try and get your account verified before making a deposit.
They look for more docs. than any other sites I've ever used and it's a tough process to get an account verified.

Good news: Once verified the website is nice and easily to use with quick withdrawals.

What a scam! They've been advertising a campaign where you can win DKK500.000.000 mio if you can predict the 64 World Cup-games - for free. I made my predictions and created an account. Afterwards my girlfriend did the same yet when she tried to create her account she got an error-message and her predictions were lost but the system wouldn't let her do them again. Then my account got frozen as the customer support claims that we're one person using duplicate accounts. I've no idea why they would think that, but as it stands they've managed to get two persons to create an account on their website while cancelling their chance to win the big money-prize.
