Angelo is truly exceptional at his job. He consistently goes above and beyond to create a positive and welcoming atmosphere for everyone who walks through the doors. His people skills are outstanding, he connects effortlessly with members of all ages and backgrounds, making everyone feel valued and motivated.
He’s especially amazing with the children on the gym floor, always patient, encouraging, and full of energy. His ability to engage young members while maintaining a fun and safe environment is truly impressive.

A good budget facility
As a former member I was happy to rejoin as the gym facilities are suitable for my needs. However, the showers were not available and I then had to use the downstairs shower facilities which are appalling. My wife was briefly a member but left as the ‘joint’ male female shower facilities are simply ridiculous. In fact the ladies facilities are just awful having spoken to other women about the pool area and makeup area arrangements. Either the architect was an unsympathetic man or it was done on a limited budget. Having been a member at both David Lloyd and the Laboratory in the past I understand that your facilities in the pool area are significantly inferior due to cost factors. That said I’m only interested in the gym and it suits my needs. There are though two bicycles that cannot be altered for different heights. I reported it but nothing has been done. Do you have a maintenance team? In summary, it is a reasonable facility as there are many classes and a toddler pool and a simple cafe which make it suitable for families and school groups.

Changing area is disgusting
I went to only women swimming on Monday, unfortunately the changing area was too dirty, hair everywhere, the showers were disgusting with mould n some of the drains were blocked, I’ve been to the New High Barnet, there’s no comparison between them regarding the cleanliness.

Excellent facilities. I come here mainly for swimming and aqua. Big shout out to Lamia at the front desk who is always going out her way to help. She is very friendly and knowledgeable. Barnet Copthal Leisure Centre is a great place to stay active , with good facilities and welcoming atmosphere. However, the Hygiene and Cleanliness of the changing rooms, toilets and showers could improved as they sometimes feel a bit neglected. additionally, it would be nice if the Café' offered healthier snack options alongside the coffee. with these improvements the centre could be even better experience for visitors.

I've been going to this gym for a while…
I've been going to this gym for a while now and I'm really happy with it. The place is always clean, the equipment is well-maintained, and the staff are super friendly and helpful. One thing I really appreciate is the parking — it's super convenient and there's always space. Great atmosphere overall — highly recommend!

Pricing and charging is not clear
Pricing and charging is not clear. Charging in advance extra yet pushing for direct debit setup as well.
Also needs some improvements on cleanless of the facilities.

I had an serious issue with parking…
I had an serious issue with parking fines as I hadn't informed "Better" of a change of registration. Received multiple tickets for 2 separate vehicles over a period of 5 weeks. The staff at the counter, and in particular Lamia, we're so helpful in resolving the matter in a timely manner and in the best possible way. I was concerned as I was going to upset the staff due to the repetitive nature of the PCNs arriving in a staggered manner however, that was not the case and they were understanding, curteous and most importantly successful in my mission to them.

We had a badly experience with our very first swimming session . No support from teacher , and excluded from the class after 5 minutes as he was scared . Very sad for a child confidence.
