Brilliant and excellent support from my personal trainer Alex. The premises has wonderful facilities to support your physical health and wellbeing. Had a chance to pick on what was well suited and worked for me. I've registered with Better for more good lifestyle choices. Lost targeted weight and helped with my mental health too.

The care and attention I was shown by…
The care and attention I was shown by Alex during my cardiac rehab sessions was amazing. Communication through all points of my journey was clear and professional and nothing was ever too much. He offered reassurance when I was apprehensive and firm when I need a virtual kick up the bum. He has changed my life for the better and this arbitrary w is truly valuable and life changing for those who participate in the scheme.

I was struggling to sign up to swimming lessons using the app. I popped into the centre and the receptionist Esther was really helpful and paitent with me. I've not managed to sign up my 2 children to weekly swimming lessons. Very helpful.

NEED TO DO BETTER!
The swimming lessons are fine. In fact, I would give them 4 stars. However, the lessons are advertised at +-£38 per month. When you go to pay, you have to set up a direct debit and an additional month's cancellation fee (yes, they charge you to set up a direct debit). These hidden costs come to over £90. As a family struggling with the cost of living, I think this is absolutely unacceptable and we could have used that money for a school activity that that costs a fraction of the price. YOU NEED TO DO BETTER!

Please note that we detail this information in our Terms and Conditions.
You can use the following to locate our T&Cs about the Month In Hand fee:

The initial payment is usually broken into three sections:
*Pro-rata payment - Calculated from the day you sign up to the first Direct Debit payment. This will be higher or lower depending if your first payment is due in the month you register the lessons
*Month In Hand Fee - Non-refundable payment that is taken during your registration. This is equal to the Direct Debit amount, and will extend your lessons by a month based on your cancellation date.
*Joining Fee - This is a £12.50 fee that all members have to pay when purchasing a Membership paid for by Direct Debit.

Best thing that happened to me after being referred by my GP is joining Better at Forest Hill, Jordan helped me choosing the right exercises that really helped my wellbeing and is very helpful, so are the other team members.
Very happy with the place.

great swimming pool in Forest Hill
Forest Hill Pools is great , I use the pool a lot , always good value and a nice swim. Wish the vending / food options were more healthy but great apart from that .

HIIT class repeatedly cancelled!
HIIT class repeatedly cancelled!! Around 6 times in recent weeks. Plus there are not enough pilates classes ! HIIT classes should be extended to 45 mins.
Just as I received an acknowledgement of receipt of my review: The HIIT Class has cancelled again today 24/11 !!

Forest Hill pools
I was referred to this gym through my GP due to my health condition, and it’s honestly been one of the best decisions I’ve made. From day one, the staff have been friendly and welcoming, and I always feel supported whenever I’m there.
The gym itself is a great size, never feels overcrowded and it’s always kept clean and well maintained. I want to mention Georgia, who has been so supportive and understanding since I joined. She’s helped me build a programme that suits my needs perfectly, and after three months, I’m already seeing real results.
I’d definitely recommend this gym to anyone, especially if you’re looking for a supportive environment.
