Everything at the London Fields Lido is wonderful
Everything at the London Fields Lido is wonderful. The staff are great - efficient, friendly and always cheerful. The manager is really hands on and encouraging to everyone.
All spaces are kept immaculately clean. The pool is consistently kept at just the right temperature for exercise swimming. There's a lovely community spirit with much to encourage this - art displays, opportunity contribute to local food banks, book swap, periodic breakfasts and cake sales and other events. I live nearby and go every morning before breakfast when I am in London. it is my favourite place.

Heated lido
The pool is 25c all year round, great if you want to feel like you're open water swimming but are too much of a wimp. Changing rooms are better than most pools and warm. Swimming lessons with Naomi have really helped me improve my swimming.

Cold swimming's pool water
The swimming pool's water was unpleasantly cold, there was no hand's paper dryers in the toilets and the hand dryers weren't working either. So there was no ways of drying your hands!

Intransigent customer service
I contacted Better Health to cancel my membership due to the inability of using their facilities that are closest to me during the summer. My main interest is in swimming and the local lido, managed by Better Health, gets overwhelmed with customers looking to enjoy the summer weather.
Unfortunately, I was met with utter contempt and indifference by the customer support team, not even giving me the option to suspend my membership until the end of summer, which means I had to pay for a month for nothing...

Thank you for your review.
We do not offer freezes on memberships unless you have a medical reason backed up with supporting documentation.
You are able to cancel your membership but you do have to provide us with the required notice period so we can action this and make sure your next payment is not deducted.
We can also move your membership to another centre, if you do not wish to use a particular facility and move you back however, we may need a full calendar month to process these changes depending on your membership type.
We appreciate your feedback and hope you rejoin us in the future.
