Lovely teacher who is really engaging with the babies and supportive of the parents. A safe and fun environment. Cleanliness of the changing rooms, however, could be improved.

I went with my 2 year old daughter and my husband to swimming pool the teaching one and it was quite nice but unfortunately at a certain point there were 2 families that came with their children.one family had 2 children that were quite big for that pool and the father was yelling at all times after them which made my daughter cry and scared and also his wife came în the water dressed with her dress and pants.and the other family there were 3 teenagers that came with one girl and they were all weaning t shifts and short trousers and the girl had dress and trousers.i know the religios asks the ladies to be dressed but the swimming pool rules are to shower before entering the swimming pool and they were all weaning clothing from outside.now me and my daughter have skin irritation that is itchy and I don't think it is normal for staff to leave them like that

The staffs are very pleasant and helpful. That is what I like about it.
What I don’t like:
a) There are no enough classes to book, it’s always fully booked
b) The swimming pool is dirty, you can see sand or dirt along the stairs leading to the pool.
c) The pool is slippery.
d) Changing rooms seats are dirty.

Sorry just read the response by Amir about the pricing, why does the parent need to pay to take and look after their own kids at soft play?
I am sure they are not jumping around on the facilities! Very glad my kids are too old to want to go to this place!
Update
So in response to your response I feel you have just reinforced the disbelief in charging parents for them to supervise their own kids. So sorry no it doesn’t really answer my query!

I was a member of fusion prior to this awful company taking over. Used to take my young toddlers to soft play, which cost 2.50 per child (southbury leisure centre). I took my son there last week. Had to turn up as they hadn't even bothered to notify customers of takeover. Guess what? For a 2 year old child it's now £7.50!!! An increase of 300%, for a grubby facility that is unstaffed and no different to when it was fusion. When I paid at the counter I raised it. The girl said it was tiered pricing. To be fair it wasn't her fault, but she was as green as could be. What's the difference between a 2yr old and 1 year or a 4 year old using softplay? They are just kids. The parents look after the children anyhow. This is 'better' cooperate greed. These were supposed to be community facilities for children to enjoy as part of our society. If you now take 2 children over 2 every week, it will cost you £60.00pm or £720.00 per year just for an hours child development per week. Why have Enfield Council allowed this? I'm fortunate to absorb this but no way would I do so. There are many who can't.
ABSOLUTELY DISGRACEFUL GREED

First visit to southbury. No much staff around the guy on reception was helpful
The changing rooms and showers made me cringe. It needs a deep clean. And regular cleaning staff I didn't see any in the 2.5hours I was there.
Doors on the health suites have lime scale not very relaxing or healthy

The place seems to be going downhill fast regarding the Wetside activity areas compared to when better first took over in December.
1. Changing rooms and pool water are Cold.
2. Nowhere to directly relax or sit when u come out of sauna/steam for a cool off break because staff tell you to move to the other end of the pool just because there are child swim sessions in progress and the sauna/steam and relax area is next to the learner pool and it is a safeguarding risk to the kids if we sit near to learner pool while these sessions are going on even though that's where the sauna/steam is situated and there are minimum 4 staff supervising that swim session each time??? We are not paedophiles we just want to relax by sitting area next to the sauna/steam which is logical instead of being told to move to the main pool area.
3. The public swim has been taken over by the various swim clubs and lessons on most evenings now from 6.30 -7 onwards so if you work in the day like me and many others or cant get there by atleast 5.30pm then you miss out on a swim. Have atleast 2 lanes open for public evening swim out of the 8 lanes so atleast my membership money is not going to waste. One of the evening swim clubs/ lessons on Monday 6.30 to 7.15pm has just been introduced on an arbitrary basis by the southbury swim staff themselves and it is not even on the timetable?? We can still book the public swim slot online for that time 6 to 7pm but when you turn up, the staff tell you to wait until 7.15pm cos they are doing a swim teaching lesson that's not even on the timetable otherwise how would we be able to book online if it was???
4. Two female members of staff in particular in the wetside area are very childish and have no customer service experience in how they talk to the public, one who claims to be a manager?? But when we complained about an issue we had, we soon found the steam room we were in was turned off 1hr early out of childish spite by them. These kids need to be re-trained to do an adults job instead of giving them jobs just because they dont mind the minimum wage they're paid

Looking forward to the improvements under better as I generally enjoy swims at their facilities. I want to give a better review but I left without swimming today. Ill be back but improvements to gents toilets, the changing, etc will help keep the centre going. Good luck!

The facilities are good and very community based. Still early days with better and I hope they can improve the whole experience - cleanliness being one of the major issues as this was a big problem with fusion and still hasn't been addressed; the soft play was covered in dirt from the previous booking so its something that needs to be looked at.
It would be good if you could open up cafe facilities as it would be a great addition.

The entire experience at southbury leisure centre was abismal the changing facilities were grubby and unkept everything appears unorganised apart from one member of staff on reception Marvin ?
One member of staff suggested I use a different amenity “coz that’s where we go” BETTER we’re going to make things Better….they haven’t
One plus point they returned my sign up fee without question

The classes are good. The gym has some equipment, but you need to add 1, 2, 3,and 4kg dumbells to make it more inclusive for people who want to use a lower weight dumbell
