I had a dispute at the gym in Swiss Cottage leisure centre yesterday, a group of uncivilised people who train in the gym attacked me physically and sexually like threatening me by touching their genitalia one of them is an Indian woman and a black man, the reason was that I had a phone call my voice was a bit loudly they are being rude and aggressive.
The lady approached to stop my cardio machine she also the black man also try to touch me and then started to sexually abuse and threaten me by saying “watch your back”.
Today I came to the gym and I was surprised that they suspended me for six months and the uncivilised people who attacked me still keep coming without being stopped.
I found out that the general manager who called Louise took unfair decision because he was taken aside, and he is racist and have lack of management skills.
This place is deeply awful, from my side I reported all this accident to the police.

very good gym overall, well equipped, friendly and helpful staff. The only issue: it's unacceptabily dirty. There's centimetres of dirt piled everywhere, on the floor, machines, not to mention the changing rooms. They save money on cleaners. They rely on customers and even PT to clean. Also the ceiling of the pool is falling apart and dripping water. They should make the weekly pool water analysis report public.

Never coming back to swiss cottage. The setup is incredibly unintuitive, terrible signage, nowhere for parents to watch little kid swim lessons, and the staff was the absolute worst. Unfriendly and unhelpful.
Only saving grace was the swim lesson itself seemed to be pretty good

First swimming lesson. Would have been helpful to get a reminder in the welcome email that the venue doesn't sell overshoes and how the locker system works. Also to find a person downstairs would have helped to get a few minor questions answered. Overall a bit confusing experience, but second lesson should be better now.

Thanks so much for positive response. Logistics are all sorted now (we've settled for reusable / washable overshoes). Child loves lessons and teacher, and swimming is becoming a highlight of our week.
Thank you.

I had a pilates class today at Swiss Cottage with teacher Richard. I didnt like the fact that he did not adjust the difficulty level of his exercises to the class, even though a large majority of participants were unable to perform many of the exercises. A teacher should suggest alternative or easier versions of the exercises if 80 % of the class is struggling.

It is only a month ago that the upstairs women's showers at the Swiss Cottage Leisure Centre, run by 'Better' GLL of Greenwich, were out of use at Swiss Cottage Leisure Centre.
The exact same issue faces fee-paying members of the Swiss Cottage Leisure Centre again and will no doubt be closed to them for a few weeks.
Last month, the Manager blamed Camden Council who have jurisdiction of maintaining the integrity of the infrastructure of the Leisure Centre. He states that the reason the women's shower / Sauna is closed again, is because Camden Council have neglected to repair holes on the roof above the women's shower unit, leading to water leaks.
It means that rain water penetrates the ceilings of the whole of the upper floors of the Leisure Centre.
This would explain why there have been buckets collecting dripping water directly in front of the door to the Gym's Equipment room and all along the public walkways on the 1st Floor after heavy every rainfall for the last few months and even over the last few years.
It means that women, who cannot now use the upstairs showers, have to share the Basement showers with screaming kids and other users of the swimming pool.
Quite often, mothers of young 2-5 year old boys, will bring them into the women's Basement shower rooms, into a room of naked women. Most women are not bothered by that, but a few of the boys stand and stare at the women.
And, it means, as happened last month, that due to the over-crowding in the Basement Shower room, the Manager has failed to ensure, that (knowing a lot more users of the leisure Centre will be using the WCs in the women's Basement shower Room) there will be a greater need for a more regular supply of Loo paper.
Again, this month, users have to put up with lack of Loo paper in the Basement shower Room.
Last month, it was also pointed out to the Manager that the women's Basement shower units are programmed poorly. The showers allow lukewarm water flow for 30 secs onl,y before the wall knob has to be pressed again to get water to flow.
After 5 times of pressing the water knob, the system is programmed to stop water flow altogether for 1.5 mins.
In a cold, walled-tiled Basement shower room, this means standing in the freezing cold, banging on the inane knob that produces no water.
To make the water flow again, (even if other users are in other shower stalls) the user has to come out of the shower stall where the water has stopped and find another shower stall. They have to press the knob in that stall to make the water in their own shower stall work again. Too bad if all shower stalls are in use. You just have to stand in the cold till the water decides to flow again.
This is a ridiculous situation and badly programmed water flow set-up.
This was pointed out last month to the Manager via the Trustpilot review. He replied that the water programming in the women's Basement showers would be adjusted, but, this has not been done.
The 'leaky roof' scenario has been going on for months, if not years, with intermittent closure of the women's upstairs shower room and Sauna.
Surely, any Manager worth his salt would be banging on Camden Council's Maintenance & Estates Dept door, demanding that they adhere to the Health & Safety Act for Municipal Buildings of 1974, (HASWA) which states that Councils, who are custodians of municipal, that is, public buildings in their jurisdiction, have a legal obligation, a general duty of care, to ensure that regular infrastructure inspections are made of their buildings which include Leisure Centres.
Councils have a legal duty to ensure the safety and integrity of their buildings which requires them to budget and maintain a contingency sum of money to finance inspections and any repairs.
This leaking roof situation, water dripping onto floors in public access areas and the subsequent frequent closure of the upstairs women's shower rooms at Swiss Cottage, has been going on for a VERY long time without resolve.
The Manager seem unable to demand that Labour-run, Camden Council's Maintenance & Estates Dept get their act together and fix the job for once and for all.
It is the members paying full fees who suffer. And like, any customers, they can vote with their feet.
The Manager should be aware that there a lot more Gyms which are cheaper and require no contract, opening up along the Finchley Rd.
If the leaky roof issue keeps closing down the upstairs women's showers, then, those women may move on to better facilities elsewhere.
DEMAND THAT CAMDEN COUNCIL REPAIR THE LEAKING ROOF ON THE SWISS COTTAGE LEISURE CENTRE FOR ONCE AND FOR ALL. THANK YOU.
If GLL Greenwich call their Leisure Centres 'Better', then, they need to live up to that name. At Swiss Cottage, they clearly do not.

The swimming pool lifeguards are very officious and unfriendly. He prohibited me from speaking with others, especially women, even though I have been friendly to everyone and have even made friends. No rule states I am not allowed to be sociable with people. This has prompted me to cancel my membership.

But very cleaned environment
