Women spaces are not transgender space!
I have been a customer of better gyms for around 2.5 years now and today I had a lovely yoga class by Maria in better gym Swiss Cottage at 12.45 pm class. After the class, to our surprise, there is a man who changed in the women changing room!
When we asked him to leave, he insisted that he is identified as a woman and already changed his id with better gym therefore he has the right to use the women changing room.
He was a full blown man!!! And not a transgender woman! All of us women felt quite violated and there is nothing the on site management can do but to send a complaint email to swiss.cottage at gll.org
We were all flabbergasted by the on site management team inability to respond to protect us the women!
What if there is a violent situation in women’s bathroom caused by these perverts?
Does Camden council ( the management team of swiss cottage better) ready to take the risk of women suing them if there’s act violence happening within the women bathroom changing space? Does it need to go to that to make them realised that women, biological women need their private space?
Why can’t they build the transsexual private space? Why the women member has to be the one who subjected and oppressed in the name of inclusion of LGBTQ community??
If this matters not handled correctly, I will start talking to journalist and mp to investigate this.
The women members are NOT OK with this decisions!
P.S : I already send a complaint to swiss cottage gll email. I will ask other women to make same review here in trust pilot if this issue not taken care of. I am not willing to give out my information via trust pilot.

mixed feelings
I have mixed feelings about the class. It is great to be in the water with my baby, and the pool was not too cold for her. The pool and the changing rooms were not dirty, although outdated and worn. The instructors felt a bit overstretched, probably doing too many classes in a row as they do not seem to engage with the babies or parents too much and repeating the tasks a bit like it is a factory.
My biggest issue however is the complete lack of adequate facilities for changing babies before and after the class (and I mean not only changing nappies, but to change their clothes, too). The lift has been out of order for weeks, which means the buggies cannot be taken downstairs. In the group changing rooms adjacent to the kids pool there is no safe and spacious enough surface to leave your baby while you change, let alone for changing them. It is even more difficult when several mums and babies are trying to get ready.
Overall it is not a bad class for the money it costs, but you get what you pay for.

Awful awful awful
Awful awful awful. Bought gym membership for my son and I so we could both workout at the weekends. Never able to even book him an induction, let alone manage to actually book a space at any of the gyms in our area, and now trying to cancel the membership but it seems impossible.

The badminton court wasn’t set up so we had to set it up and lost a good 5 minutes. That is a lot from the 40 minutes the booking is for…
Unfortunately the 3rd time in a row this happens as the staff seems under equipped, under motivated, and little managed to improve on this meaningfully. :(

I've been in this gym for over a decade and the present manager, Louis South, is very aware of the overall aspect of all concerns. He is sharp and quick to respond to matters to make the place a very friendly family oriented atmosphere for people of all ages and all walks of life.
Of course I am talking about the Swiss Cottage branch.

Angry staff with children and adults
Hi, Today on Monday I came with 2children aged 3 and 7 to take them to soft play at 12 o’clock . There was a man working at the reception and a lady who I am sure are polish . The doors wouldn’t open for costumers and everyone was waiting. The man was rude to every single person , I was purchasing the tickets and without asking he physically removed in aggressive manner my 7 year old without asking him or me.He was rude and when I asked to se the manager I was denied as he was busy upstarts . This behaviour is unreasonable and left me and my 7 year old frustrated as we paid 17.60£ . I would suggest that further training to be given to this staff member and anger management. It was so good but just one thing the lady swimming should always just lady and on that day there’s a man between the 2 hours time so we couldn’t use all the time to swim till he went so please make sure next time all the 2 hours just ladies to watch no man because it’s just one day in the week no more and it’s very important for us to swim for our health with many thanks.

We are delighted to hear that you are enjoying the Women Only swim session at the Swiss Cottage Leisure Centre. We try our best to have Female Lifeguards only during these sessions but we may need to ask a male to assist if a member of staff is unable to attend work that day due to personal circumstances. The pool is required to have Lifeguards at all times due to Health & Safety so we apologise if this was the case when you attended your swim session.
